I bought my first new car from Dana Ford, quite a few years back. I made a wise choice. This Staten Island location is clean and well maintained. The dealers aren't rushed or trying to hustle you into overspending on a car that you don't like or can't afford. There are several makes and models of Ford and Lincoln cars available to inspect and test drive. Within my lease, I get service a few times a year for a super low price. On my most recent appointment I got an oil change, my tires rotated, windshield washer fluid etc. They also give your vehicle a thorough wash and vacuum as apart of their service. My car received a thorough checkup and they alerted me about a recall. The waiting area is really comfortable and kid friendly if you have little ones. There's a really fancy coffee machine availablethat offers coffee of several types and flavors- free of charge. I would recommend Dana Ford to anyone who has worries that buying a car in NYC isn't very smart or that it's gonna be a negative experience. Spoke with the Service manager Ruben after waiting 4 days for an appointment. He explained to me the pricing and that they cant look at my car that day. He said they were busy and it may be a few days before anyone can look at it. (I had an appointment). My car was "Limping" and that was the reason I brought it in. Huge mistake!! No calls for 6 more days. I called them on friday May 8th and spoke with a rep. who told me nothing has been done and maybe they should get to it next week. I told her its been there for 6 days. I also told her Ford is sending me texts that the problem is my EGR sensor. Youtubed it and an easy fix. I had my wife drive me to pick up the car because 6 days is long enough to keep a car and not even giving it a 10 minute diagnosis. Im 63, retired Law Enforcement and a veteran and I am aware how it works. When I arrived to pick up my car right after they opened, I told the rep I wanted my car and I had waited long enough for a Diagnosis. All of a sudden he tells me they just finished the diagnosis and guess what??? Its was the EGR sensor I told them about the day before. I asked him when they did the diagnosis and he said earlier. They just opened up! I dont appreciate being lied to. He then charged me 227.00 for the "diagnosis" and told me I needed to pay for the diagnosis to get my car back. What a rip off! I was stuck! The receipt said nothing about a diagnosis being completed and NO diagnostic results. (Im sure by now they can make one for me. How would I know?) Do NOT go to this dealership! As a disabled veteran who served this country with honor, I am deeply disappointed with the service I received at Dana Ford Lincoln here on Staten Island. After my recent visit, I discovered that the underbody protective plate that shields my oil pan was missing. Additionally, it appeared that parts of my vehicle had been touched or tampered with that were never listed on the service report. There seems to be a pattern where only warranty-covered items are properly repaired, while uncovered parts are disturbed or removed to create unnecessary charges. In some cases, it feels like parts are taken off and reinstalled just to falsely claim they were replaced. There is no real accountability, and when I contacted corporate, nothing meaningful was done. It is unacceptable to treat any customer this way, but especially someone who sacrificed for this nation. I expected integrity and respect, not deception and neglect. No one should buy from Ford ever again. Ford is not what it used to be. I tried to stay loyal to American brands, but unfortunately, even that is difficult now when some American franchises are the ones taking advantage of hardworking Americans. read more

I dealt with a young man named Griffin, who was a straight shooter and a pleasure to do business with. Even at the dealership there wasn't any moment where I felt pressured whatsoever. The whole experience with Dana ford was a nightmare. When we got the car, the car came with scratches that I asked to be removed and needed to be taken off. When I picked it up they tried to buff the car in front of me!! Also we left a 500 deposit that initially they tried not to apply to bill sent to my bank. I had to have them buy back the car because me and my ex split. My bank was asking where the transfer was and the sales rep called and basically berated me like it's crazy my bank is asking ! After avoiding Ford service centers for over 10 years, I got ... a Ford again, so this is the place with the least horrendous reviews, I thought I'd give it another try. If you have a new Ford, you should really service it at an authorized repair shop while you have the limited warranty. What a difference! Great new building, a cozy waiting room with excellent coffee selection, and reasonable prices for the service. There is a car wash, so your car is clean when you pick it up. The negatives... Some of the mistakes I can forgive, but still: people hate when they pick up their car and the steering wheel / mirrors are readjusted. I understand the seat being moved forward/back, but vertically and the steering wheel... that's slightly annoying. Also when I picked up my car, there was a piece of fabric stuck between the seams form the car wash. Also when I got the inspection sticker, somebody left grease stains on the windshield. An easy thing to do is simply wipe down the windshield if you touch it with your bare hands. It's the little things. Regarding the sales department, I can't comment. I think all Ford dealerships are the same. When I bought my last car there was a lot of demand and not enough supply, so the prices were outrageous and nobody wanted to even discuss going below the sticker price. These days are now gone, so haggle, get quotes from several dealers and try to get the lowest price. Do NOT buy the extended warranty: it's a ripoff. I called around to various Ford/Lincoln dealerships to get my car in for service due to a suspected water leak. I called at least 5-6 dealerships, and they all told me that the diagnostics/repair could take a week or longer and asked if I would need a loaner vehicle, to which I said yes. Unfortunately, most dealerships had no appointments for several weeks/a month and/or were unable to guarantee me a loaner due to lack of availability. That was until I reached out to Dana Ford, and not only did they guarantee me a loaner vehicle, but they offered me valet service to and from my house! The woman on the phone also said that because I had an extended warranty, I would not be charged a diagnostic fee. So, it sounded like a no-brainer to go with Dana for my repairs. During the 2 weeks before my appointment I received several email confirmations with the details of my appointment-all including the information about the loaner vehicle. The day before the appointment, I received a confirmation phone call as well as a text asking for my insurance information, a credit card, and a copy of my driver's license in preparation for the loaner vehicle, which I took my lunch break to upload. Up until this point, I was very impressed with their efficiency and customer service. HOWEVER, that all changed a few hours after sending them my driver's license and insurance info. A woman called me from the dealership letting me know that I was in fact, NOT ENTITLED to a loaner vehicle due to the nature of the issue because it was not covered by my extended warranty. This was the first time I heard about this and now it was less than 24 hours before my appointment and there was no way for me to make the proper arrangements to deal with being without a car for an extended period of time. I explained to her that it was extremely disappointing and frankly, horrible customer service, to promise a customer one thing, over 2 weeks ago, confirm it several times, take my insurance and driver's license info, and then less than 24 hours before my appointment completely rescind their offer and provide no other solution or compromise. This was an error on their part. Had they told me from the beginning that I was not entitled to a loaner vehicle, I would have understood and made the necessary arrangements. Even if I was alerted to this error at some point sooner during the 2 weeks between when I made the appointment and the day before my appointment, it would have been more forgivable. But to be left high and dry the day before is totally unacceptable, especially when it's not that they COULDN'T give me a loaner vehicle, it's that they were CHOOSING not to because they were not longer obliged. But worse than all of this, was the fact that I asked to speak to a supervisor regarding my concerns and was told he would "call me back." I waited 2 hours to speak with Keith. When he did not return my call, I called back and was told "Keith is not at his desk" and would call me back. I asked what time he was there until and was told another 1-2 hours. In that timeframe, he never called me back. He actually NEVER followed up ever. Apparently, Dana's idea of "excellent customer service" is going back on their agreements and then totally ignoring their customers and their concerns. I would never recommend bringing your car to Dana Ford's service department. Clearly they do not value their customers and do not handle issues with integrity or professionalism. read more

Overcharged $15,000 on a car to an elderly woman(my mom) Out of the place the car was having lots of problems. $65,000 vehicle and a week after buying they wouldn't give her a loaner. When she was walking out upset they started laughing at her. I hope NO ONE does business with them anymore because they have been going down hill for a while. Purchased my truck new and it had several scratches on fenders and dents on roof . Dana service told me to call Ford for a buyback. They refused a buyback and said Dana would have to repair the damages. Dana has done nothing of the sort for approximately 6 weeks. I have been forgotten about. They got their money and don't care. An acquisition fee was paid 3 years ago when I first leased the car. When I was presented with my lease buyout today an additional $600 acquisition fee was added to my buyout. When I asked how it was possible considering that fee is essentially a bank fee for starting a loan (lease agreement at the time) his answer was to shrug and tell me "shop around". This makes even less sense considering I was buying the truck outright with no additional loan so what am I being charged an acquisition fee for? Bad service department. I have serviced my Lincoln vehicle with them for 4 years. My warranty is up in days and they did not want to take my vehicle even though they fixed this issue months ago. So I would have to pay out of pocket even though I had proof in photos of a leak. They should take the vehicle since I'm showing an issue within the warranty period. They just give you a run around. Every time I took the car for service it took months and many many calls. They never call you back. I would avoid servicing your car there. Dana Ford is advertising prices on their website, but when I called to inquire about a vehicle in transit I was told to "place an offer starting over $5k and somebody would get back to me." While I understand that the market is volatile, and isn't in favor of the buyer, inciting a bidding war while POSTING PRICES on your website is super disgusting, especially as related to the AG's Advertising Guidelines for Auto Dealers. There are plenty of other ways to engage in sketchy pricing practices without posting prices. The two men I spoke with promised to "get back in touch" but can't seem to be bothered. I got an appraisal on my car from Kelly Blue book. I took the car to Dana Ford on a Wednesday they offered me 40% less than the appraisal price. However the sale went quick and smooth. It was an efficient process. My sales person was Tim Dela Masa. Tim was a horrible sales person I do not recommend him at all. After I sold the car I let Tim know I was deploying and I needed to come pick up the check for the vechile. Tim told me the check would be ready for pick up two days from the sales date (Friday). I expressed concern to Tim about the check not being ready on time. Tim was very dismissive of my concerns and laughed at me.He said that Dana ford will have the check on time and that he would personally call me when the check was ready, This was far from the truth. After the two days passed I contacted Tim, he told me that the check wasn't ready yet. I reminded tim that I had limited time home and I would like to use the time to see my family and if he would please check the status of the check. After 5 hours without hearing from Tim I contacted him again. He told me the check was still not ready and that I would have to come in the next day (Saturday). I understand that sometimes things change and I was willing to work with Tim. But then after I asked Tim if the check would definitely be ready on the following day. He told me the office would be closed. I ended up going to Dana ford on the same day (Friday) and trying to get in contact with Tim to see if the check was ready and to get a definite answer on when it will be ready. I let Tim know the time I was going to be at the dealer ship. When I arrived I called Tim and he didn't answer. The front desk lady called Tim twice and he didn't answer. After 15 minutes of waiting she told me that Tim was on his way out. Another 15 minutes went by (for a total waiting time of 30 minutes) and Tim never came out. I asked to speak to a manger and the front desk lady told me that the manager and Tim were in the other room and didn't want to speak to me. I asked if I could speak to another manager then. The front desk lady took me over to the Lincoln side and I spoke to a sales manager named John. John was very helpful he checked the status of the check and it turned out the check had been ready since the morning. It baffles me on why Tim took a pleasant experienced and a good review and then for no reason turned my experience at Dana ford into a negative one. I do not recommend buying anything at Dana ford and doing any business with Tim Dela Mesa. If this is how they treat there service members imagine how they would treat you. read more

The managers on the other hand will lie to you to your face until you sign the lease. Along with leasing a car, they were supposedly "buying out" my prior lease which I was told I wouldn't be responsible for any fees. Come to find out two weeks later, I received a bill from my old car lease for an acquisition fee as well as another month's payment because they decided to return it(late) and it went into auction. I tried contacting Lincoln every way possible and no one will get back to me. They also charged me $200 in DMV fees for a registration that expired in two months. So overall, I spent an extra $1100 for absolutely nothing. I wanted everything in writing but was told it wasn't necessary. Unfortunately the experience I had with this dealer was horrible. I gave a $1,000 deposit for a new vehicle (no special order) but changed my mind the very next day. What they offered for my trade in car wasn't worth for me to move forward with moving with the deal. The GSM Doug was horrible...he has no integrity whatsoever...nothing but a crook. The only reason I am giving 3-stars is because Sue was a pleasure to speak with this morning. I received a recall on my vehicle a week ago and called to schedule an appointment to have it fixed. Sue next available appointment is for a recall FEBRUARY 2023. Even though I can still "technically drive" the vehicle, I find it ridiculous that they are still "overbooked" from the beginning of the pandemic and cannot fit in recalls for service. So technically speaking, my car can physically roll away even though it's in park due to the recall but they cannot see me for over 6-months? I called another location and have an appointment for next Wednesday. Thought I would give this location another shot but NOPE!
