I took my teenage daughter here last Friday afternoon for a massage after a very hectic week. My daughter's therapist told her she "was too muscular" and had "man shoulders". She said Jill, her therapist, talked the entire time throughout the 1.5 hour service. My daughter has been struggling with her weight for the past 2 years, and really didn't need a massage therapist criticizing her body while she was trying to relax and unwind. My husband & I have been clients here on and off for the past 8 years. We will not be returning-ever. All the therapists talk way too during the treatments and quite frankly, they should mind their own business. read more

When we first moved to Dana point about two years ago I began looking for a new massage therapist and came on yelp and found the Dana point Bodycentre - I read many reviews and it looked like Emily would be the perfect fit. I went into see her and after a 90 minute deep tissue massage was hooked for life. Emily is seriously amazing - she is not only extremely talented in her massage abilities but she also does Reiki and puts on this awesome chakra healing music during your session that makes it about 10 times better. I have now seen Emily probably about 15 times and my husband is also now seeing her on a regular basis. If you like deep tissue massage or just someone who really truly knows what they're doing then I would call and ask for Emily :-) my husband and I love her and our customers for life!! read more

I've been to see Kayt twice for Cranio Sacral and looking forward to my next healing visit. Having suffered for many years with multiple autoimmune conditions and stresses in every area of my life, the Cranio brought so much movement throughout my body from head to toe....pain and trauma were pulled out, tension and joint pain in my body released and washed away leaving me relaxed and pain free. TMJ released and brought balance to my jaw. I felt like I was in a healing presence zone filled with an amazing inner peace and a renewed sense of energy after my session for several days. My second visit was similar but the movement was more gentle because my body had released so much from our first session. Cranio Sacral again brought significant healing for my whole body. Sent my husband there on his birthday for a massage and a facial, supposed to be a relaxing day. Turned out to be the most painful and uncomfortable massage he has ever had! Tried to get the massage therapist to understand it was hurting, she kept on ignoring him. Facial was mediocre, at least it was not painful! Called and emailed the owner Sue, it has been over a week and still no response from her, very disappointing!! read more

Ricki H. is the bomb, no really I promise you. I have been coming to her for a couple of years and although I sometimes go to other massage places, I always wind up back in her very capable hands. Most recently (yesterday) she gave me a rocking 1.5 hour deep tissue to help work out the kinks in my right shoulder, injured through some deep winter swells and re-aggravated through a whole lot of surfing. In addition to being a very cool person Ricki always does a great scan on top of any issues I might mention and I always walk away feeling much much better...If you can I would strongly recommend her for any of your massage needs but especially if you surf a lot and want to keep your back limber for the next run of swell :) read more

I had originally found Yan/Emily when I was pregnant with my first baby in 2012. I went to her several times for prenatal massages and was a very happy client. Now I'm 36 weeks along with my second and just had a prenatal massage with her yesterday morning. I'm a breastfeeding mama and my upper back was extremely stiff and I was in quite a bit of pain. The boyfriend and I were in town on a spur of the moment trip. We were unable to book massages at our hotel, so we decided to check out Dana Point Bodycentre based on other Yelp reviews. I had the two-hour combo massage from Noelle and my boyfriend had the two-hour deep tissue from another female masseuse. Noelle was great. The massage was both therapeutic and relaxing (just what I wanted and needed for our little trip). She spent the majority of the two hours focusing on my upper back and worked wonders for my always aching and stiff back. The boyfriend didn't enjoy his massage as much as I did. We got the 20% off new customer discount and paid less than a quarter what we would have paid in the hotel. Totally happy that we found this place and will likely return if we're in town. read more

My boyfriend and I called on a whim, and they were able to get us right in. He had the deep tissue, I had the standard fluff and buff, but it was anything but standard. Both of our therapists were awesome, mine incorporated lots of hot stone and hot towels, which I loved. We were both on the table for over an hour, so we really got out money's worth since so many "hour" massages are really 50 minutes. As others have stated, this place isn't fancy, but if you're looking for a great massage at a really reasonable price, don't hesitate to give them a go. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE!! The service is excellent, they are always running on time, and you get a lot of bang for your buck. Granted this is not a spa in the sense that you have a jacuzzi, steam room, etc to use. However, if you want a fantastic massage at a reasonable price, this is the spot. My two friends brought me here to celebrate my bachelorette. We were supposed to be at the Talega spa in San Clemente, but apparently they had a pipe burst, and so the therapists (and everyone?) were now working out of this building. We parked in the back, and walked through a bathroom area, and a "quiet" area, where the rooms were. The waiting room was very small, with only a small couch for two and two chairs. We checked in, and signed the waivers, and were told it would be about 20 minutes. My friends had booked themselves massages and facials, and a massage and a body scrub for me. I've had both before, and really enjoy body scrubs, so I was definitely looking forward. My masseuse was Danielle, and she was amazing. Friendly, funny, and did a great job of massaging my whole body. I liked that she asked what areas she should focus on, and I said my back/shoulders. She asked if I liked heat, and I said yes, and my back became warm. I also liked how she held the sheet up discreetly when I flipped over. One of my friends was getting a massage at this time, and the other was getting a facial. When I was done, Danielle brought me water, and told me to wait in the waiting room for the next part. My friend Diane, who was already done with her facial, was waiting for her massage. There was a lot of back and forth between the therapists between the quiet hall, and the door to the right of the check in, where we were sitting. Finally Diane went back for her massage, and my other friend Emily came out. She liked her massage, and we chatted while we waited. When they called me, they brought me through the room to the right, which looked like another massage room, and into the attached room, which looked like a giant shower with a tall table. Dasha, my therapist, asked me to put on a pair of panties she gave me, take off my robe, and get on the table, which was covered with plastic, face down. My purse and clothing were in the room I had walked through, so I don't know where you put your stuff if your friend is not in that room! To make a long story short, I liked the salt scrub, which she mixed with lotion. She gave me a towel to cover my breasts, which was moot since she watched me turn over-kind of awkward. She was nice, and did a good job, but the way the shower heads are set up, when she washed off the scrub, I had water trickling past my cheeks and down my chin to ground, through the hole where my face was. It was ok at first, but I'd have to lift my head periodically to let the built up water go. Plus my hair was getting wetter and wetter. I've had body scrubs before, but always in a regular massage room. She had me flip, and put a towel on my face and the water ended up going up my nose. I had to sit up and say something, so she covered my face with the towel and put her hand lightly over my mouth and nose, which made me nervous. Not very relaxing. I flipped probably 5 times, and soon the boob towel just went away. I didn't love that, but what can I do. She finally had me scoot up to keep the water off my face, and I would've gladly jumped down so the table could be moved up so my face wouldn't get wet! Anyway, she then put seaweed on me, which I didn't really like. It was thick and smelly, and she wrapped me up in the plastic and let me sit for a bit. Don't get me wrong-I think Dasha herself is nice, and does a good job, but I don't think she was used to this room (as she's from Talega), and I was not expecting all this, as my friends made the appointment for me. She rinsed me off and had me flip, and now my hair was super wet (glad I didn't wash it the night before or that morning), and there was seaweed on the table where I had to put my face. Oh well. Finally, when it was over, she handed me my robe, even though I was still pretty wet, and left the room. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to wait or what, but after a few minutes I walked into the next room, where Emily was still under the blankets with her facial person. That lady left as well, and we weren't sure what to do-my hair was super wet, and I was wet, and it would have been nice if she had given me at least one towel. (She had patted me dry when I was on the table, but it wasn't enough). We assumed we should get dressed, so I got back into my clothing and used the bathrobe to dry my hair. When we came out, the employees were standing around. We stood there, probably 5-10 minutes, waiting to pay. It was now 4:30 and we had gotten there at 2, and my friend had a long drive home. Once we left, my friend Diane said she had been sitting there for quite some time waiting for Emily and me. She said she also heard the employees bickering and discussing politics. I got home and my hair still smelled like seaweed. I probably would not have that scrub again, as I didn't care for the seaweed. I'd also try Talega, not this place again, because it was not relaxing and spa-like. read more

I haven't been to this location in a while....but it's amazing! I have been meaning to comment on this place for a long long time! I've been to several different therapists there, none of whose names i can remember, and every experience i've had here has been excellent! I first went there in 2009 when I had pinched a nerve really badly in my upper back and was in desperate need of a deep tissue massage since I had work the next day! I booked my appointment last minute for the same day, they were able to fit me in pretty quickly. I explained to them what had happened and they knew exactly what i was going to need...so when i got in there the therapist was already on the same page as me! She concentrated on just the area that i had injured and was constantly repositioning my arm to get at different angles (the pinched nerve was somewhere in my left shoulder blade)....when my appointment was over she asked me to move my arm in every which way...."try to make it hurt". Seeing as i had walked in there not being able to even MOVE my left arm away from my body, I had initially thought that this would be the easiest request to accommodate....but to my surprise and utter delight she had completely unclenched all those muscles and nerves back there. Sure i was still sore from the deep tissue slightly....and just the ache of having strained a muscle....but the shear fact that i could l move my arm around was A MIRACLE!! Everytime I have gone back there I have had similar experiences...whether for relaxation or for deep tissue it's worth every penny! And they are so affordable it really didn't even seem fair to them! So they always get a big tip from me! If I didn't live so far away now I would frequent them often.....but if i ever get into a pinch like that again (no pun intended) I would definitely make the drive! I often get headaches and she seems to find all the spots that help to relieve the tension. I love how professional, kind and caring she is.
