Me and my wife Anna decided to do a wedding dance a month before our wedding. We came up with a song that we felt very close and started to look for a dancing studio. Having so small time left before the wedding we knew that we have to find someone special to make it happen not only because of time but also I'm not a good dancer and totally missing a rhythm. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when my daughter first asked me if she could take private Latin lessons at Dancier Ballroom. We do not have a ballroom dance background, and are new to this art form, having trained primarily in ballet. Fast forward nine months since that first lesson...My daughter has become a beautiful Latin dancer; graceful, poised, learning complex choreography, but moreover, she is truly fulfilled and very happy. As we all know, the teen years are rough. Dancier Ballroom has been very instrumental in helping a young girl who was starting to be down on herself, lacking confidence in her abilities, to flourish and be much more confident. Great Place to learn dance lessons. My then-fiancé (now husband and lifelong dance partner) took Jennifer's class for a short time for our first dance on our wedding. The culture of the studio is very warm and we both felt in love with it. Our goal was to learn fun, energetic dance. We were about a month away from our wedding. Well my kids started at 9 & 7 years old ballroom dancing i has been the most important experience for them. Jenyan & jennifer have made of my kids a 4 times 1st places in different competitions in 5 different categories samba, cha-cha, rumba, paso doble, jive, made them very talented, disciplined, and they got a lot of self confidence. Not only is she an amazing and beautiful dancer, but she is an experienced technician who can take your dancing from good to great! It may be a slight difference in weight transfer or tightening up your core at a different part of your body than what you are used to, but make sure you listen! Her eye for detail is the KEY to make your dancing like that of a professional (even though you're still an amateur...we can only dream, right?!) After just a few lessons, I feel much more balanced with every step I take on the floor...and the judges have noticed! (I actually don't wobble now...that's progress!) My results speak for themselves as I went from always being in last place to second in the Open Latin Scholarship! Wow! And...did I mention she also does incredible makeup and hair?
