My husband and I started going here recently and I'm satisfied with Kirsten's genuine care and how much time she takes on us at each visit. She also speaks Spanish!! Which was a surprise and huge plus as my husband mostly speaks Spanish. She spends a lot of time with you at each session. She also is a Webster certified chiropractor for all my fellow pregnant mamas. She's very gentle and careful. We brought our son with us once and she was also attentive to him giving him toys to play with. She also adjusts children! My only complaint is that when my 2 year old son became fussy she said that someone was getting a massage next door and we needed to keep the noise down, and I did feel a little bit rushed to leave towards the end. I would not dock down her star rating but I also want to just be clear that if you also adjust children you should be prepared and have sound proof walls if noise from fussy children is a concern. I couldn't wait to write this review! It was a great experience from start to finish. They are reasonably flexible and patient ladies. I decide to book because I knew my body was begging for an adjustment. I'll spare you the boring details but for the last couple of years I had not been able to sleep on my right side, I would feel pain and soreness after about 10 minutes. After I saw Dr. Kirsten, I didn't realize just how much overall tension my right side had. I decided to test out her work. I was able to lay on my right side just fine. I woke up and was amazed that I even managed to sleep. When I stand up I no longer have body aches. She took off years after one visit. I am so grateful that I found her. I've been seeing chiropractors for 30 years. I have endured many incidents of back trauma and injury, ranging from disc ruptures to strains. I originally came to 'Dance With Life Chiropractic' due to an unrelenting escalation of pain. I was searching for a way to relieve the pain that wasn't being helped by my previous chiropractor of 15 years, exercise, or stretching. My back pain was so restricting, that I'd gotten to the point where I was having trouble going for an eight minute walk. There are many things that I enjoy about trusting my care to Dr. Kirsten Hill. One thing is the genuine kindness, attentiveness, and sincerity that she and her assistant Leah show each and every patient. Their genuine caring and consideration are the best I've ever experienced, either by healthcare professionals, or otherwise. Each patient receives their full attention. They are both very sweet and kind people, and how many times have you ever described someone in the service or healthcare industry like that? Another thing to note is Dr. Kirsten's gentle form of chiropractic. I've had many different chiropractors in 30 years, but none of them were as gentle and non-traumatic as she is. I think of 'Dance With Life Chiropractic' as an oasis in an otherwise hectic, unrelenting and busy world. You can feel the calm and healing environment the moment you walk in the door. I started seeing Dr. Kirsten in the summer of 2008. While driving back from a meeting in Oakland one weekend in Dec. 2008, I decided to stop near the Embarcadero in San Francisco for a walk. After walking along the Embarcadero for about 10 minutes, I looked up at Coit Tower and remembered hearing that there are stairs that go from the bottom of Telegraph Hill all the way up to Coit Tower. Since the weather was cool and clear I decided to find the stairs and make my way up the hill. A third of the way up the hill, I ran into a security guard for a nearby apartment building. I asked him if I was on the right trail, and about how many steps there were from bottom to top of the hill. He replied that I was on the right track, and that there are 388 steps. I had been regularly walking 30-40 minutes and hiking up 194 steps prior to this excursion. Well, I did need to stop a couple of times after going up about 250 steps, but was able to continue after catching my breath. I reached the top of the stairs and rewarded myself with a trip to the top of Coit Tower to watch a beautiful winter sunset over the bay. After taking in the gorgeous views from the top of the tower, I proceeded to walk down Telegraph Hill and return to my car. Upon arrival at my car, I checked my pedometer to find that I'd walked over 7 miles. That in and of itself was amazing compared to my previously limited walking ability. Walking for over an hour would've been out of the question for me before being treated by Dr. Kirsten. Now, not only could I walk for however long I wanted, but the next day I woke up pain free. Sore yes, but totally pain free! Amazing! Prior to seeing Dr. Kirsten I was having regular and increasingly debilitating bouts of back pain. Prior to seeing Dr. Kirsten I was unable to consistently predict my limits of exercise or endurance. Thank you Dr. Kirsten and Leah for radically improving the quality of my life. Went here for chiropractic services.. never been to one before... paid $120 for two sessions. Which consisted of the following: 1. Tour of small facility 2. Lie on your stomach 3. She'll tell you to "Breath deep"-- for about 30 minutes 4. Touches you lightly (which doesn't do anything) and says she can feel you opening up 5. adjusts you 6. and asks for you to pay out front and schedule your next appointment. I gave it two stars because she "seemed" to care.. but in terms of skills... it was far from worthy of being 5 stars or did I feel confident in her knowledge. read more

Unfortunately I am inclined to agree with Kristina L. I came in for shooting pain in my shoulders and we have cracked my neck twice, a ways away from where the pain has been??? Both "adjustments" did not come close to addressing my discomfort spots. At this point, my neck is crazy sore from being cracked without really needing it and I still need to find someone that can crack my back. Let me start by telling you that I have never been to a chiropractor before and didn't really think that going to one would help my injuries. I had thrown out my back a few weeks ago training a group of people and just expected the pain to go away, but it persisted for days. My boss told me about Dance With Life Chiropractic and I was hesitant at first but I decided to give it a try, and it was such a great experience. Dr. Kirsten Hill was amazing. She is so passionate about what she does and it was refreshing hearing about the importance of understanding the body and how everything is connected. For example, she spoke about the fact that my tendonitis in my shoulder could have made me compensate in other areas of my body, leading to my hips and spine coming out of alignment. I can relate to Dr. Kirsten about understanding the body because I studied Kinesiology in undergrad and appreciate how she wants her clients to understand her work. She goes into history about injury and movement so she can better understand my body and how it works and moves. I was expecting to be smashed on the table and hearing cracking everywhere but that was not the case at all. Dr. Hill has such a calming, gentle, and motherly touch where she relaxes the body and the nervous system so that she can efficiently and properly do the adjustments. I have seen her twice and my back pain has disappeared. My body was more relaxed the second time around because I had a sense of what to expect so weekly adjustments are a smart idea for progress.
