WORST DAYCARE IN FORNEY!!!…read more I am writing this review to share my deeply disappointing experience with Children's Lighthouse Day Care. My 21-month-old son was enrolled there, and the treatment we received was not only unprofessional but also indicative of a lack of genuine care for the children under their supervision. Lack of Understanding and Communication: Initially, we were contacted by the daycare requesting a parent-teacher conference because our son was climbing on tables and opening the classroom door. As parents, we understand that toddlers exhibit exploratory behaviors and grow at different paces, something that any qualified childcare provider should recognize. My husband responded immediately, expressing his availability for the conference. However, we were told that their director was unavailable that week. It is baffling to me that they could not proceed with the conference without the director or at least reschedule promptly. Abrupt and Unjustified Dismissal: On a Monday June 3 2024, we dropped off our son as usual. Within less than two hours, we received a call requesting to come and pick him up and informing us that our son was being dismissed because he continued to open the door and pull the blinds. This was the same behavior we had been willing to discuss and find solutions for, but instead, they chose to expel a 21-month-old without any prior warning or opportunity to work as parents and teachers involved in a child's development. The daycare is starting summer activities this same Monday ( June 3 2023) with many other kids attending the program. It appears that, overwhelmed by the influx of children for the summer program, they decided to dismiss our son immediately to prioritize the new arrivals. This clearly shows their priority: money over the well-being of the children they are supposed to care for. Questionable Priorities: It became evident that the daycare's primary concern is financial gain rather than the well-being of the children. Their focus on managing numbers rather than nurturing individual children, especially those who may require a bit more attention and understanding, is disappointing. Poor Teacher Conduct: The behavior of the staff is also a matter of concern. Amy, a staff member we spoke to on the phone, placed us on hold without any notice and transferred the call to the director without informing us. When we finally spoke to the director, she was very dismissive of anything we said, showing no empathy or willingness to address our concerns. The teachers exhibited a lack of kindness, care, and understanding. As parents, we expect educators to be patient, loving, and supportive, particularly in a daycare setting. Unfortunately, the teachers at Children's Lighthouse Day Care fell short of these basic expectations. Children's Lighthouse Day Care wasn't like this when it started four years ago. The then director was very nice and willing to sit and talk about your child's growth and progress with parents. You sit at home and know your child is feeling at home at the daycare. The class teachers were nice as well, showing genuine care and commitment. This has drastically changed, with the current staff and administration displaying a clear lack of the qualities that made the daycare a good place initially. I frequently noticed that my son's nose was always dirty when I picked him up. Additionally, when we dressed him in a sweater in the morning because it was cold, the staff didn't bother to take it off when it got hot outside. This lack of attention to such basic needs shows a complete lack of empathy and basic human care. I usually do not write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience to help other parents make informed decisions. A friend of mine who toured the daycare few weeks back had advised me to look for alternatives, noting the inadequacies she observed. I regret not heeding her warning as the daycare's convenience and proximity to our home blinded us to potential issues. I strongly advise parents to reconsider enrolling their children at Children's Lighthouse Day Care. Their handling of our situation was unprofessional and demonstrated a lack of genuine care for children. Save yourself the heartache and find a daycare that truly prioritizes the well-being and development of your child.

We took them out until we could figure out what was going on. When we were ready to have them go back our spots had been filled. I did a search of the area and stumbled upon Happy Tree. Ms. Danielle was extremely responsive and we had a brief phone call before we toured the school. During the phone call with Ms. Danielle it just felt right. When we toured, I knew it was right. When they were enrolled, they had just turned two and within weeks I could see a huge difference in their growth and development. They are now 4.5 and came home one day and recited all the presidents! They are writing and spelling their names, adding and subtracting and much, much more. It's extremely bittersweet that they are moving on and we will very much miss Happy Tree and all they've done to prepare them for their future education.

He became so comfortable with the teachers in his class that he would specifically look for them when he walked in the building. They are so loving and caring. I had some apprehension because my son has a hearing aide that needs to be removed for naps and water activities. It is also extremely difficult to get him to keep it in and for other students not to yank at it. They took the time to learn how to place and remove the device and also helped him keep up with it. As he moved up in classes, he became just as fond of the new teachers as the old and they encouraged some independent learning. They also got him to eat vegetables almost everyday which is impossible at home. We wouldn't have believed it if we didn't see it with our own eyes. Another great thing about the facility is you can pop in on your child any day or any time. They have an open door policy for parents and it makes you feel at ease when they are willing to be so open. We moved and had to change child care. It was a difficult decision to make because our son enjoyed his classmates and teachers so much.

As you can imagine it is not the most ideal (is it ever?) to send a newborn to daycare. They have exceeded my expectations in every way. Every single employee is so pleasant to talk to. Their communication has been seamless. I am not able to physically meet her teachers, but we have had zoom calls and they have an amazing app that they send constant pictures and videos throughout the day. They do such a fantastic job at trying to figure out this whole new norm we are living in. Most importantly you can tell they loveeeeeee the kiddos. Genuinely love and are happy. I toured quite a few daycares and you can tell when employees are not happy. I could ramble on about all the great things, but you get the point. If you're looking for childcare in the area I HIGHLY suggest to check them out!

My son comes home with new bite marks, diaper rash and soiled diapers that's been sitting so long the feces is dried onto his butt. The teachers are inattentive. LOW QUALITY childcare. New leadership came in around June if last year and completely drove this place into the ground further. The owner cares only about making money, not about making sure your kids are cared for using the tuition you pay. I understand there are many schools with wait lists and as a parent we are limited with options - I'd recommend you advocate for your child and don't let the leadership here bully you into silence if you must attend here. Also, they have a coming soon sign out front that is tacky and I'm not sure how the HOA hasn't had them take it down. Such an eye sore and obviously they've been open for years now.
