A reliable vegan option! I can say this was some dang good sushi. Service was quick, I loved both of my rolls, and I like the witty names of some of the rolls. Honestly, a hidden gem in Trinity.

I Don't Give a F*** Roll. All I said was love mango, no jalapeño and they came out with this amazing roll!

Dang Good Sushi was Dang Great!! All Sushi Dreams can be fulfilled right here so this must be your next stop!! I ordered the I Don't Give a F*** Roll. Yes that's what it's called. Basically just tell them if you have any restrictions or requests and let them work their creativity. Surprise surprise this is what they came up with using my simple requests: All I said was love mango, no jalapeño and they came out with this amazing roll! I can't describe the happiness while eating this. I was HAPPY! This place is ultra cute and has a nice vibe for that perfect sushi and artsy setting. They are currently building a new location in New Port Richey(downtown)with different items on their menu(different concept). I'm so looking forward to it. So happy I can stop by here, I'll definitely come back for more!

Volcano roll...forgot to take the pic before indulging

Yum! Tried this little spot in Trinity for sushi for our Friday night dinner out. It's a small, intimate place in a little strip shopping center...not really good for big parties. As you enter, half of the place is a sushi bar of about a dozen seats. On the other side the wall is lined with round 2-4 top tables. Upon first look of their menu, you notice it's not the standard sushi menu. There are some creative mix-ups of ingredients and interesting names to match. We started with an app called Taters Gonna Tate. OMG was this delish! Crunchy tater tots topped with a mix of seafood delight and bacon! Who would think of mixing these together? A drizzling of spicy mayo, eel sauce and chopped scallions made this one flavorful way to start our meal. Needless to say, I inhaled this starter! For my second, I ordered the Volcano roll. This also didn't disappoint. Tuna wrapped with cream cheese and cucumber, topped with creamy avocado and baked seafood dynamite, and drizzled with spicy mayo and eel sauce...what's there not to like. It was fresh and oh so delicious! I was so stuffed, dessert wasn't even a thought. Prices were reasonable and the staff was friendly and appropriately attentive. Will definitely have to make my way back to try some of their other tasty-looking concoctions. Definitely recommend if you're looking for Dang Good Sushi!

My Yelp homies know full well I never review on the first visit, but this time I was coerced! My husband ordered a Bacon My Heart and was just thrilled! Said it was a chocolate drizzled carnival food experience with fresh shrimp and bacon . What?! Then he ordered a volcano roll and ate it all. That means a lot because this guy eats like a bird and is rarely impressed, but the freshness of this fish did it! They were sooo ready for my gluten allergy, too. Unusually ready! These fresh fish cuts were busting out of the rolls! There must be a problem with their knives, so make sure you try this place before they find out some rogue chef is triple stuffin behind the scenes!

this is first time writing a very very poor review. I waited for 2 rolls 1hour 25 minutes, no big deal but then out of everything to make the roll so I compromised and went without. when I finally picked up my order the sushi had a very fishy odor and smelt like lighter fluid. It was burnt? Pics attached I have seen a couple recent reviews that were bad so buyer beware.

This is their attempt at Crab Rangoon.

1st time trying this place since our go to sushi restaurant E Sushi was closed today and wow.. what a disappointment. The sushi chef was off so they could only serve rolls... Umm... ok... we tried the crab rangoons(1*), at least put some real crabmeat in there. We then ordered the Hangry Misfit roll( this is how you make spicy tuna roll)? and Dang Surf and turf roll. The other review stating Publix has better sushi is spot on. This is a one and done for us.

    Appetizers!

Ww, where do I start? We read the reviews and decided we had to check this place out for dinner. When we walked up we were a little nervous because part of their sign was advertising "Vegan". We really wanted some seafood so we asked and they are Vegan friendly but not Vegan, so the sign was a little confusing. I am glad we went in. The server was absolutely amazing and made us these delicious $5 Sake Margaritas that was one of the best drinks I ever had. He was super attentive and helpful with our decisions. We ordered the Crab Rangoon egg rolls for the appetizer and the seaweed salad, they were delicious. Then for our rolls we ordered the "I don't give f***" roll, "Broski" roll and "Let the good times boil" roll. They were so delicious and we took it home to eat later while watching a movie. I cannot wait to go back and enjoy their lovely establishment some more.

What a cool twist on traditional sushi! Yes of course they have the classics, but this place offers so much more! Started as a food truck & now a store front with some seating, but I recommend you get there early if eating in because the seating is minimal. Instead of our usual rolls, we ventured out & chose a few of their signature selections. We chose the Stuffed Jalapeño Roll, which allows you to have it made with tuna or tempura shrimp. Also we chose the Closed On Sunday roll which was a knockoff of a Chic-fil-a sandwich, including pickles, tempura chicken, & that special sauce. Lastly the Lemon Squeezy Roll was a refreshing delicious roll including shrimp, cucumber, salmon, roe, & thinly sliced lemon. We loved them all!!! They also have interesting monthly specialty rolls. We were able to watch them on a future special that was a chicken & waffles roll with bacon & Nashville hot honey. If you're vegan, they have plenty of selections for you as well. The staff was very pleasant & helpful as well! And the owners were present & involved (kudos to them!)We'll be returning soon!

After moving here i was hearing Dang Good Sushi ... they have a food truck and its great. Thennnnnn I hear they opened a brick and mortar spot. So of course being the good elite yelper that I am .... I found it. . I thought its 3:30 and a beautiful day out they probably aren't busy ... well shut the front door ... they were packed ! Its so good to see a local business blooming!!! Sushi was excellent , cant wait to go back to try different things ... but i will get the tater tots again as an appetizer.Service was excellent'n

Thai steaks roller, Tampa roll, closed on Sunday rolls

My husband and I ate here on a Saturday around 4:30 pm. The restaurant is very small. It has a nice long sushi bar to sit at and about 5 tables inside (mostly 2 top) and a few tables outside. So if you have a larger group there is no sitting together! There was no wait, only one other table eating. It was cute inside and clean. We started with the crab Rangoon jalepeno popper egg rolls. They were a nice size and loaded with filling. They were not greasy at all which was a plus. We really enjoyed those. We also got the Tampa roll. This was nothing special and more underwhelming than other places I've had it. The closed on Sunday roll was tasty but it was filled with a small amount of chicken and too much rice. We ordered the Thai steaks roller as well. This was good. The serving of steak inside was nicer than the other two rolls. Overall, the rolls were ok, I wouldn't rush back to dine here again. The service was great. The pricing was pretty average for sushi rolls. The flavor combinations were different and interesting, but I was mostly disappointed in the rice to other ingredient ratio. They all had way too much rice in my opinion.

Our first visit was great -- we spent around $120, and he said the sushi was some of the best he's had in a long time. He liked it so much that a couple nights later, before he left town, he wanted it again. We even waited about 45 minutes in the parking lot for them to open (they open at 4:30 on certain weekdays) because he was craving the Spicy Conch roll that badly. For our second order, we got two Spicy Conch hand rolls, a spicy tuna roll, and a Lollipop roll. We live about 20 minutes away, and because our first experience was perfect, we didn't think to check the bag before driving home. When we got home, all of the hand rolls were spicy tuna -- none were the Spicy Conch rolls my dad specifically wanted. The receipts on the bag clearly showed the correct items, so I'm not sure how it left the kitchen wrong. Since my dad was leaving town and this was the one thing he really wanted, I called the restaurant. They offered to replace the two Spicy Conch hand rolls, which I appreciated. I originally said I'd pick them up another time, but I decided to make the 20‑minute drive back so he could enjoy them before he left. When I called to place the replacement order, I also added a Deep Sea roll -- his favorite from our first visit. What disappointed me was that when I arrived, they charged me for the Deep Sea roll. I'm not someone who expects free food, but considering the mistake, the clearly printed receipts, and the fact that I had to make a 40‑minute round trip twice, covering a $14 roll would've been a simple, classy gesture. Especially since they usually read totals over the phone, and this time they didn't -- which made me think they were taking care of it. I did hear the sushi chef say "tell them I'm sorry," which I genuinely appreciated. The food itself is very good, and that's why we went back. But based on this experience, if you're ordering takeout, definitely check your bag before leaving. The quality is there, but the way the mistake was handled didn't match the level of the food.
