Okinawa ramen & hibachi has got to be the best... BEST Japanese restaurant I've been to in a long time! Everything was absolutely fresh! The seaweed salad was crisp and delicious. It was the best we've ever had! The soups were very flavorful, very fresh and delicious. The decor was authentic Japanese style. The food was expertly crafted and so fresh! The staff were friendly too. The prices were a little high but it was well worth it for the most delicious food. Their Boba tea was very delicious and had lots of boba. Love this place! While they have several Ramen and bowl options, there are also a number of hibachi plates. All the deliciousness that is hibachi but none of the waiting for your table to be full before you can eat, stuff. Josh did a great job. He was attentive without being too intrusive. Came in for lunch. The place wasn't crowded at all and we were seated immediately. Greeted quickly and drinks order taken. I got the matcha boba tea with nondairy creamer instead of milk. I also got it unsweetened. It was so good and the boba was soft and tasty too. Seating is booth style throughout the restaurant. For food I got the hibachi shrimp with fried rice and veggies. I heart Taykoyaki! Sir Hubbers got me some Taykoyaki from here for my Birthday & it was so yummy! So the other day I had a meeting close by that got canceled at the last minute so I went over to have some in the Restaurant since it was Taykoyaki Tuesday! Yay! :)) It's my new favorite day! Thanks to Sir Hubbers finding Taykoyaki for me birthday that's just as good as Sushi Masa's Taykoyaki! Anyhoo, I go in & get a table. The place is super cute OMG! I ordered moi Taykoyaki & the waiter told me it would be about 20 mins. I said no worries OuiOui. When he brought them they were so piping hot, I tried to eat one, but I had to let them cool before I ate them. So I took some pics & posted them to Yelp hahaha. I guess the waiter thought I didn't like them bc he sat a container to go on the table as he passed by. Then, as I finished posting the pics I started eating them with the hot chili oil on the table. This blew the waiters MIND!!! LOL He came over & says: "Ohhhhhhh what?! what?! what?! ohhhhh What?! Ohhhhhhh my! I never thought to do that?! I never thought to try that?!" LMFAO !!! Picked up a to go order of Tonkotsu Ramen and Fried Gyoza and it was great. I've been going here off and on over the last year and it's always been a great experience. The atmosphere is great and the staff are very friendly. A very bright and clean restaurant. The fried gyoza has a great balance of texture being a little crunchy and soft but not too much of either one. The sauce really adds to the flavor too. The broth of the ramen is really good and easy to keep sipping on. A great balance of flavors. I thought the soy egg could've had a stronger soy flavor though. The noodles are basically perfect. Driving by this place, and the sign caught my eye. I am a sucker for ramen and I was a little apprehensive at first because I have my favorite - but it's in Tampa. I walked in with my partner, greeted very nicely and thought I'd call my son and his girlfriend to join us and they did. The place is nicely decorated, small, but cute. The waitstaff were all very friendly and attentive, although a few of them seemed lost and unsure of what to do, lol. The food was delicious, although still not up to the standards of my favorite place, they're still a close second and I will definitely come back to this place. My son and his girlfriend liked it, and they also said they'd come back. I didn't have my phone on me to take any pictures, because I didn't expect to be here, but next time I will. Honest review of Okinawa Ramen and Hibachi: Upon entering Okinawa Ramen and Hibachi located at 11166 Springs Hill Drive in Spring Hill, Florida you are transported to a familiar place. Some might see the Japanese decor and remember the cherry blossoms and traditional Asian parasols and remind them of the far east, others will be transported back to their childhood with the Dragon ball Z decor. This alone deserves a visit for Instagram worthy pictures, fortunately for people who live in the area they also make some tasty Ramen! My appetizer to start was a delicious katsu chicken that was crunchy, juicy and tender. My main entree was the Shoyu Ramen with bean sprouts, corn, pickled ginger, 2 pork chashu, scallion, soy egg, and fish cake. Overall it was a good ramen that I would order again. I will note if you are looking for hibachi with a show this establishment does not do that. Instead they prepare good quality hibachi and then serve at table or for pickup. They also have a good variety of sake with Lychee being my favorite. The staff here were friendly especially Emily who was all smiles and service. The decor is simply beautiful and if you like anime, even the restrooms are decorated. This is a fun themed restaurant with excellent service. Marty sat me immediately and made sure I was satisfied with my booth. I've always wanted to see the cherry blossoms in DC. I tried to book a trip and it was canceled due to the pandemic. I was overjoyed to see beautiful Japanese umbrellas and cherry blossoms on the ceiling when I looked up. Though it was not the real thing, I appreciated the calming decor and escaped for a little while. I enjoyed a seafood ramen bowl. It was fresh and tasty. The service was expedient and I was enjoying myself until a disgruntled employee decided to complain to his boss during this service. This should have been done privately it had to with him wanting to be paid more for having to clean off the decorative pieces on the tables that held various condiments. I enjoyed myself up until this point. The owner was professional and listened to the employee as well as made a suggestion to him. He was not happy with the owner's suggestion and then said he should be paid more for his time. Overall, the atmosphere and food was great. It's definitely a lower tier ramen shop. Decor is very nice and the servers are friendly but the food quality is subpar. The ramen quality is definitely on the cheaper instant side, some higher tier ramen shops use fresh noodle or fresh-made then frozen. The broth tastes like it came from a concentrate and not many fresh ingredients are added to the dish. The price is on same level as a local bowl of pho from the two Vietnamese shops in the area. Overall it's not a place I would recommend to people who are accustomed to the better quality ramen shops down in Tampa metro area. Pricing is understandable and not terrible but it definitely leaves you wanting more for the price but cost of supply's probably allows some merit to the pricing. Beer and sake price are reasonable. To your average person who has not really experienced higher end ramen shops, this place will meet your simple needs. Cheers! read more

Went with a group of four total for an early dinner today. The ambience in this new restaurant is youthful japanese with bright neon colors and a focus on DragonballZ and One Piece anime. We really were excited given the quality of the decor and the number of patrons (roughly 70% full). The staff were responsive and friendly. The ambience and service were decent. The food itself needs alot more focus. We order crab rangoon (very good) and fried calamari (not good). What made the calamari even more disappointing was that the table next to us also ordered calamari and when the server delivered both, it was abundantly clear that they got more on their plate and the pieces they did get were much nicer than ours. It should have been clear to the cook and the expediter. Next we ordered Shoyu Ramen (good), Tonkatsu Ramen (good), Steak Hibachi, and Pork Buns. The best way to describe the quality of the hibachi steak overall is "chinese buffet like". The veggies, salad, and clear soup were passable. The steak is poor quality, flavorless, tough, and in my case way overcooked (I ordered med rare). The fried rice is clearly made in advance and had nothing in it like garlic, sesame seeds, egg, or onions. I ended up sending the steak hibachi dinner back because they charge $19 for the meal and I deserved way better for that price. BTW, I'm 55 and can count on my hands the number of times in my entire life I've rejected a restaurant meal outright. To their credit, they didn't hesitate and brought me a bowl of Shoyu Ramen that was better overall. Now to the pork buns...They came AFTER all the other entrees and after my replacement meal and they were still cold...Inexplicable. I want to like this place but, if they are going to charge Tampa prices, they need to do more than have hip decor and actually deliver on quality. read more

Went here for lunch with my whole family on a weekday afternoon and we all had a great experience. I had the shoyu ramen, which was delicious. My only regret was that I didn't add an extra egg. Their soy eggs are fantastic! The brown sugar boba tea was enjoyable and fun. The atmosphere of this place is great, too. i couldnt have had a better experience! i was excited when i first saw this place being put together next to walgreens, and i just knew itd be amazing! i didnt expect the wide array of anime decor but it was absolutely amazing, i felt right at home being here! my server was very professional yet also down to earth and relatable, without making me feel like there was a huge disconnect between employee and customer. the food was also out of this world! i should have taken home leftovers but i couldnt help but finish every bite. the eggs were perfect and the takoyaki was so sweet and the boba was so interesting! i got the okinawa boba which has so many different types of toppings, it was so fun and tasty! i cant recommend this restaurant enough! my only regret is forgetting to take a picture of the back of the menu with all the ramen and hibachi types LOL read more

My husband loves the food but we always get takeout because he brings it on the way home. They have NEVER got our order right once! They stapled a bag up so you can't check it. Every time I get part of a meal or part of someone else's food entirely. Three times now we have paid for more food than we get and I'm still hungry. He's even told him this and they said they'd give us extra but we get less than we ordered and paid for every time; how can they be this stupid? If you call to say something they are rude and hang up. It's too far to go back up there for us. I refuse to eat there now.
