They totally rocked our to go order. We tried the the Chicken Fried Dumplings, Mexican Roll, Japanese Bagel and Dang Surf 'N Turf. I expected a larger place to be honest, but it was a small hole-in-the-all place like a coffee shop. There is limited seating inside, including a bar area. The atmosphere was fantastic. Our server was Emily and she took great care of us, including all the other patrons. Now to the food -- I loved their calamari! I would probably order it again and again. Once it cooled a little, it was deliciously crunchy with its light batter even with the sauce. The taste was great. My aunt and uncle had the "I don't eat sushi" bowl. FYI they do eat sushi but they wanted to try this. The only complaint (if you can call it that) is that it was a lot and they ordered a bowl each. Next time they can share a bowl. My wife ordered the chef's surprise surprise sushi. It has a different name on the menu and is the last item on the sushi list. Basically the chef will prepare a special sushi after answering some basic questions like allergies and preferences. I'd say it's a fun item on the menu. The organic sodas - my favorite was the black cherry tarragon. This was our first time trying organic sodas. The kids were at first reluctant to try them but they loved it at first sip. At first skeptical at the choice of rolls because they did not fit the norm, we placed our first order tonight with Dang Good. The rolls seem to focus on tuna, tempura shrimp, crab stick and Salmon. Disclaimer I have been a fan of this business since they had the food truck. I have been here a few times as a standalone store, and I will say the quality match is the same as the food truck. The owners Patrick and Ashly are wonderful people and care about the community and their customers in an unmatched way. While the sushi is slightly pricier, you can guarantee you'll be satisfied or they will fix it for you immediately. So I've had many of their sushi rolls, but this review is going to be about a specialty role that I ordered that had Wagyu beef and blue crab. I ordered it on a whim, and I had to say it was one of the best things I've ever had. I would eat that literally every day if I could. The restaurant itself is very neat organized and clean and you can tell they have pride in their business so if anybody is wanting to try this establishment, I would give it my full endorsement and will be coming here for years to come. read more

Patrick and Ashley are awesome! We've gotten sushi probably about 5 or 6 times now between their food truck and the store front. They NEVER disappoint. Just when you think you have a favorite, you try a new roll and it's like bam! The sushi is so good! Flavors are on point, they accommodate a sesame seed allergy for us, and they are the friendliest people you'll meet. My husband never had sushi before we got married and now it's one of his favorite foods and Dang food makes it possible for us to have. I brought my husband here today, and needless to say, we are both hooked! We have officially found our favorite sushi spot. Kids were making sushi. They were butchering the fish. The sushi itself was at best average but I would say if you are at Kazu in New Port Richey, you are going to get really good sushi. The presentation of the sushi was poor. That matters in sushi, even the wooden tray they served it on had finger prints and wet blotches on it. However I think they were understaffed. I have a lot of sympathy for them in that regard. But on the other hand they did not restrict access, they kept accepting customers which is their right. Consequently they had kids making sushi and it showed and tasted as such. The single waitress between 10 bar stools and 6-8 tables could not pay attention. I wish them well.
