This is one of our favorite sushi spots when in north Tampa. We always get the fired JB Roll as well as the screaming roll. The rolls are always fresh and taste good. The service is also very friendly and on point. The interior has a cute Asian flare to it! They have many seating options so large groups are welcome. I am a huge pad Thai connoisseur and can safely say this is my favorite in Tampa. The flavor is amazing and the portions are generous. This is the first time I've seen Duck being served in a sizzling hot cast iron and I must say it was delicious. What really surprised me is the curry was in a gravy boat and they poured it all over the Duck once it was placed in front of me. Talk about presentation. The Duck was perfectly cooked, moist meat and crispy skin. It came on a bed of vegetables and topped with diced pineapples. It was so good that writing this review has me wanting it again. 3 things about this place: 1. The place was neat and had great space for dining in and the staff that served that day was very friendly and outgoing. They seated us right away and excellent service. 2. Summer Roll, Pad Thai, and Special Fried Rice were ordered. After ordering the foods, the server right away brought us 3 different house sauces and told us that the foods will taste better with these sauces. 3. Summer Roll was fresh and the inside was stuffed with vegetables and shrimp was huge. Pad Thai was excellent and had plenty of sauces so mixing the noodle was not a problem. However, the seafood on the fried rice tasted fishy. Although they serve frozen seafood, was not expecting a lot of fishy taste in my food. That was the downside of the meal. Here for lunch with a bff, in her neck of the woods. We ordered soft shell crab sushi roll for our appetizer, and both of us Panang Duck, one of our favorites. The sushi was good, but average. The rice soup that came with entree was just okay. The Duck Panang was below par for us, since we have it so often, and know what's good. It was not the freshest duck, as there were some dry edges, one I had to remove from my mouth. Not good. Bff told the waitress, and the response was she'll tell the kitchen. The volcano roll was also very good but the conch pieces must've been really small so barely noticeable, I've had better volcano rolls in the past but still was very very good. I like coming here to meet my friends who lives nearby. It's a cute decorated Thai/Sushi Restaurant, but more Thai themed decor. I also like the intricate detail for some of the staff attire as well. My go to order is typically their Tom Yum Soup with chicken and the sashimi appetizer. I guess I enjoy having the best of both cuisine. They have a few selection of wines, at a reasonable price. The service can be a bit slow when they're packed, which seems like dinner time no matter what day of the week I go. They do not take reservations, but we didn't have trouble getting seated on a weeknight around 7:30pm for a party of 3. I would like to try their Thai entree dishes next time, as they have quite a variety. read more

My husband had the duck, and it was ok but not hot enough. The fried tofu was cooked nicely. The outside was crisp, and the inside was moist. Today our food experience was just ok. We order an Arizona roll as an appetizer- king fish roe, cucumber. Simple and quite delicious although the rice was over cooked. I ordered the sashimi appetizer as my main dish. This was fine but the fish is cut too thick. My husband had the Bangkok fried rice which wasn't good. The rice was over cooked and no "fry" on it. The dish overall was too oily and had strange sweet undertones. The vegetables were cooked ok. The shrimp was cooked correctly but the chicken and beef were overcooked. He would not get this dish again. The service was average. The environment is starting to look a bit worn. I also noticed a few fruit flies buzzing near our table. We have eaten here several times and this was our worst food experience. Hopefully they aren't on a downward trend. Right now we're not rushing to come back. read more

It seems the majority of their sushi can't be made without cream cheese making it feel like an entry level sushi restaurant.

Interesting to have Thai food & sushi together. It is apparent that their sushi is very popular. They were busy on a Friday night, luckily we got seated quite quickly. Service was good & friendly. They give you a tick sheet for the sushi order, we just ordered Thai food, the Pad See Yew with chicken- noodle was ok, could use more seasoning I.e. more garlic & the sweet black sauce that they use. We ordered pork with broccoli & mixed veggies in oyster sauce... thot was a good dish, nicely flavoured. We ordered a Tom Yum with prawns... sadly it did not taste like Tom Yum at all, more like beef broth with vinegar. I was very disappointed... I had to give a 3 as only 1 out of the 3 item were good.
