Today was probably the best brunch we have had here, both Doll and I agreed. I had two over easy eggs, doll had the scrambled eggs. The duck was a leg & thigh that Grant had saved for me!!! Last time it was crispy but the meat was tough. Not today. My fork just pierced easy, right through the meat, and the butter knife just went right though it. Even the toast and hashbrowns were spot on. Home made sourdough with nice grill marks, swipe of clarified butter, and perfect moistness to the bread. Hash browns, perfect. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. I want to call out the bread and hash browns. Nick was making those and he nailed it. Simple sides, but oh so important to the meal. The music here will change day to day, but on this Friday evening ours was beautiful. It included piano, trumpet, bongos, drums and bass. Staff were all attentive without being overbearing and allowed us to enjoy the music, and the food ended up being fantastic. We got deviled eggs (some of the best I've ever had) and Okonomiyaki which in this case was a variation of fried sweet potato and was delicious. Drink variety ranges from fruity cocktails to wine to N.A. beer and they had something for everyone. My only complaint of the evening was the booth we sat in was not very comfortable and it required a lot of fidgeting. Other than this 5/5 experience.

The best bite was the house salad-- the crispy lil bacon and almond bits were a great texture contrast and the sherry vinaigrette was light. From the Red Nose Room menu, the Cranberry Spritzer mocktail was sweet and tart. I would've liked a little more dilution. The Cheese Fondue was fun for the novelty, but the flavor was a little bland and the fondue could've been more warm.

It adds the perfect balance of heat, tanginess, and flavor without overpowering the food. Everything tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and it paired perfectly with a beer next door.
