My partner and I stopped into BedMart a few days ago, obviously looking to buy a new bed. We had just had a so-so experience with Mattress Firm, and were nervous to continue our search for the perfect mattress. We were greeted by Dallas, who was already helping another couple, but took the time to hop between each party to ensure we were all helped equally. He was awesome! He showed us the firmest mattresses they had, let us spend time feeling things out, and totally respected our time. Didn't feel pressured at all. We ended up applying for a 1 year payment, no interest, and the process was very quick. Dallas explained the warranty to us, return policy, etc. We were able to receive a free delivery the next day, in comparison to Mattress Firm's $99 delivery fee. He also ensured us that the delivery personnel would install our platform for us. The person who helped me at Tanasbourne BedMart was Dave Whitman. He didn't pressure me at all to buy on my first (or second) visit, wanting the product to match my needs, not just to make a sale. He showed me a great Black Friday sale mattress, over a thousand dollars cheaper than similar mattresses I had seen in another mattress store. He also showed me a less expensive mattress. He had me lay down on them, asking about how it worked for me. I brought my husband to the next visit, to make sure a mattress would work for him as well. He was super attentive when I was explaining what I wanted and showed me great floor models of what he had. He didn't carry what I was looking for so he called James at this Beaverton location and told him what I was looking for and that I was on my way. James knew exactly what to show me and I ended up buying his first suggestion. I have to split the difference here. Why you ask? Jim's great. Awesome folks who know a LOT about the products. Won't just try to sell you on the most expensive right off the bat. You can spend as long as you want, lie on as many as you want, and they never once did the whole, "Okay you've felt a few, what can we sell you today" routine. They're great people from what I can tell. Low-to-no pressure, knowledgeable, and real. The downside: I bought a Bedmart bed. It was a Sedona. Within a few weeks my back began hurting. The thing had almost 4" of slack (when 1-1.5" is considered normal). Limping, I returned it warranty-style to get an upgraded bed with more support. I paid almost $500 for the first bed, and an additional $300 or $400 (I forget) for the upgrade bed. I got it in November. As of Christmas, I began to feel pain in my right hip in the mornings. It gradually got worse. I rotated the bed (about every two weeks), and it felt a little better but eventually it's sagged again. I now am walking with a cane, have to take prescription pain medication, and am in physical therapy to fix my leg. I sleep on my couch which is more supportive now. Sometimes the floor when I have to. It's getting better, but I can't sleep on my bed. I'm not a huge guy either. I'm only 5'10" 229. I'm not some enormous bed-murdering guy. I can't return it as, while it's still under warranty, I can't afford to pay another $500+ to upgrade to a newer bed again. Long story short: Definitely go to BedMart for the awesome service, competitive prices, and a great mattress buying experience, but be sure to stick to the name brands like Simmons, Tempurpedic, Sealy and the like. Their house-brand will make you an invalid. read more

My husband and I purchased a bed from Dallas about 6 months ago. I had not been looking forward to the high pressure sales and sleezy salespeople who often go hand and hand with mattress shopping but none of that was found here. Dallas gave us plenty of space and didn't pressure us at all. First of all... Where NOT to go. We originally bought a mattress from Sears on Black Friday. It had significant ruts and a ridge down the middle when it arrived. Decided to return that....and still got hit with a restock fee even though they had told me we wouldn't because it was obviously defective. Sigh.... So we went to a regular bed store instead. Went to Sleep Country in downtown Beaverton and was given a load of bull from a sleazy salesman. Went to Bedmart and am happy we did. Worked with Bill and made him earn his money. :-) We took a lot of his time and changed our mind a few times, but he was very patient and helpful. They had to order our bed and told us it would take a couple of weeks but we received a surprise call one week later saying that our bed was in. DON'T FALL FOR the bed in a box. I researched and researched before I made the decision to buy a Helix, but unfortunately it was not at all comfortable. And what I hadn't researched is how these companies dispose of the mattress if it doesn't work for you. Charity, yes, I insisted on waiting extra days so that mine could find a new home. However, the majority end up in a land fill. SO I masked up and met Dallas, my amazing salesperson, at Bed Mart Tanasbourne to safely test beds. I'm a germaphobe but felt comfortable with safety measures in place. Dallas listened well and found me THE most perfect mattress. He started low end and did not just try to sell me the most expensive mattress in the store. And my mattress: it's incredibly well-constructed, completely dreamy, and the exact same price as the bed in a box. (Whaaaaa? So was I paying for the cost to GET that bed in a box? I'm all for ingenuity, but....not in this situation.) Either buy a bed in a box and plan on keeping it no matter what, or visit Dallas and let him hook you up with zero pressure, only very helpful advice. read more

Spent 6 days looking for a bed that my wife and I could agree on at 4 different stores. Went to this Bed Mart finally and was greeted by a really nice man who had pictures of his awesome exotic cat. He let us shop the store no pressure and only approached for a moment to say hello and ask if we had questions. My wife and I shopped beds for at least an hour and had no pressure with our 2 kids running wild. Finally after deciding on a bed we liked better than the others, we worked out a great deal. Discounts for being a disabled veteran, a coupon code from a few days prior and some other great throw in deals. My wife and I couldn't refuse the offer, it was way to nice of a deal. We bought the bed, we sleep like babies now, and I cannot appreciate enough that the salesman didn't just cram beds down our throats. Very professional, very exceptional. I would highly recommend them in the future if you're thinking about buying a new bed or mattress. We went with the Serta I-Series (Bradbury?). Doesn't really matter, We just love it! We just had a wonderful experience buying a new bed. It had been 15 years since the last one which was a Simmons beautyrest (Bowling ball) bed. First we went to mattress firm. They were too pushy and had the used car salesman. Be smart was our 2nd stop and our last. Dallas Ward was our salesman and he was very informative and not pushy at all. He was there to educate and earn our business. We walked in on a Sunday tried all the beds after we laid down and had the smart bed analyze what bed we should get. It was right in the money for the type of bed me and my wife had already been trying. We walked out educated and slept on what bed we wanted. When your spending $4k on a bed , it's better to sleep on it before pulling the trigger. The next Saturday we went back and Dallas remembered us and got us an even better deal with all the extras he threw in such as some bad ass cooling gel foam pillows and a mattress cover for the temperpedic contour elite mattress we purchased. Overall a great experience with little pressure. Understand there isn't a lot of room for a temperpedic mattress with price it is what it is. Other mattresses I am sure you can haggle a bit. If you can get Dallas as your sales person this probably would be a great place to shop. He clearly is a good salesman and will follow up on any items or concerns you have. Like any mattress store they all have the major brands, what typically sets them apart is their sales staff. They make or break your experience. Unfortunately for me our Sales person was a young man James D. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and east to work with, however there was no follow up on his part. He made some errors in the order, promises on the delivery and had no follow up. I called an left a message for him no response. Their business cards have the salespersons email addresses so you would guess they use their email. I emailed him November 18, 2016 he still has not responded. I was able to speak with Dallas in the store and he was able to resolve the concerns with the wrong sheet set and the missing pillow which was fantastic. With the remaining issues concerning the delivery James never followed up. What surprised me even more was 10 days later November 28th I sent an email the company email address and they have never responded. While I cannot understand why sales person James never followed up it is even more difficult to understand why a company wouldn't. Like most mattress stores they provide the 30 day guarantee fortunately I did not have to work with them on this. In store service was great follow through is worse than poor. Overall it makes for a unfavorable experience. Their overall customer service is poor. read more

My husband and I went to pick up some sheets at the store and pick up our daughter and while driving to get her we got a phone call saying they would be there in a half hour! We rushed home , disassembled our old bed and by the time we were done the delivery was here. Dallas even followed up later in the afternoon to make sure the delivery was smooth. What great customer service! It is one of the best experiences I have ever had , especially during a pandemic which has made things quite challenging for everyone. Bill guided us through the process, made suggestions, and gave us enough information to make an intelligent purchase. In response to Brian F. - it is the type of mattress you selected for the money you were willing to spend. ALL coil mattresses begin sagging quickly. The warranty does not cover "normal" divets in the mattress so, in my opinion, these mattresses are not worth the price. We researched mattresses and found latex mattresses have all the features we were looking for. Sustainable, renewable, and the comfort is ridiculously fabulous!! Bed started out great....but now the bed has body imprints where you sleep. Called about warranty and was told that body imprints are normal, try sleeping in the middle of the bed, and that your supposed to be able to feel the springs in the bed. Great service. We worked with Bill ("Guy who looks like Glen Beck") Johnson, who was very helpful. Low pressure, informative and very flexible. We bought a spring mattress with a 120 day return policy (yes there's a restocking charge). After nearly 100 days we felt the mattress was not firm enough and replaced it with a more firm foam model. We live on the coast, about 80 miles away so there is a delivery charge, but that seems only fair. Purchasing a mattress may be up (down) there with buying a car. You really can't rely on a make/model number because it seems every dealer has a somewhat different model, unique to their store. Check out the March 2014 Consumer Reports on mattresses and then expect to not find most or any of the models they recommend. But you do get an idea of how to shop for a mattress. Spend time on the mattress in the store. You're going to be living with your purchase for many years. Bill was very patient and didn't try to up-sell us or have us purchase add-ons. Absolutely fantastic buying experience! Not only did the sales folks treated us with respect and courtesy. There was no hard sell at all. Bill and Dallas knew a great deal about their product and the pros and cons of each manufacturer and Model, but they were able to guide us based on our needs, aches, pains, movement issues and such. We have over the years bought a number of beds from Bed Mart and have always been treated this way.
