Excellent Dentist office! I dont do many reviews but feel a need to do so today after my teeth cleaning. This place is first class. Amber my oral hygienist was the niciest most patient you can be. Today my gag reflex was VERY active and she made feel comfortable and worked so patiently with around the breaks we had to take because of my hyperactive gag reflex. My 11 year old daughter couldn't get into her child dentist to have a tooth pulled until December. I called Thousand Oak Smile Design and they got us in the next day and were incredibly accommodating. Dr. Elbert was gentle and made my daughter feel at ease every step of the way. My wife and I found Dr. Elbert's practice a little over 6 months ago and I wish we would have come sooner! The staff is super friendly. We normally see Yvette and she is AWESOME! She's so personable and keeps me distracted while getting my teeth cleaned! Alicia, who works up front always greets me by name (with as many people as they see between my visits, it's very impressive). Dr. Elbert is great, I had a lot of work done after my first visit and he got everything done very timely with a tight schedule at the end of the year. Also, they have a beautiful office! Like everyone else on earth, I had concerns about the Covid virus but I also had concerns about continuing with my necessary dental procedures which had been delayed because of Covid. When Dr. Elbert's office called to set-up an appointment, I trusted them to take every precaution possible and they did. Starting with responding to their email check list through the entire Covid prevention procedure, I felt safe and knew it was okay. As I was leaving the office, it struck me that Dr, Elbert's staff including the doctors were being very selfless to begin taking on patients. They are more at risk from us than we are from them! I've only met with the good Dr, Elbert once. I have been here 3 times in the last year, all work completed by Dr. Polao (sp?) and a very nice hygienist who's name I seem to keep forgetting. Being a very fearful patient, they did everything to make sure I was completely comfortable and it's turned out great. They use state of the art equipment, and go over your X-rays in detail so you know exactly what they want to work on, and why. For someone who has a serious fear of going to the dentist, they have done a great job of making me feel safe and the results are noticeable. Parking is pretty plentiful, the dentist is located in an office building on Avenida de Los Arboles off of Moorpark Road. Nice staff. read more

Dr. Elbert and the crew always laugh when I come in because they know how much I hate going to the dentist for any reason (I hate the sound of that drill the most OMG, why can't they invent something quieter!!)? I have been a patient ever since he took over the practice there in T.O/Westlake and there has never been a time when I wasn't satisfied when I left. The entire staff is A1 starting with the people in the front to the people in the back. The hygienists are the best, they make you feel like you are a part of the family. The people in the front are always helpful and knowledgeable. Although, I really hate going to the dentist, when I go to Dr. Elbert, I know I am getting the best care possible! This office staffs the nicest people. They know what they are doing and they do everything well. The teeth cleaning are comfortable and great. I have had some crowns that were needed due to cracking of teeth from old fillings ( from other offices many years ago) and it had been a painless process. Dr. Elbert makes sure the fit is exact. Dr. Elbert is very nice, he doesn't keep you waiting long and is very easy to understand when he is describing what is going on with your teeth. The office is very cute and decorated nice and modern. They offer water and coffee while you wait but ive never waited longer than 2 minutes. They also gave me a free toothbrush my first visit (with Dr. Elbert name on it, pretty freakin cool) Everything is great here but the real jewels of this establishment are the rest of the staff. The dental hygienists that I have encountered on both, my visit and my husband's visit are AMAZING! Super engaging, very friendly, and knowledgeable. I don't know if you can request specific people but if you can pick Yvette!! I actually enjoy going to the dentist because of her!!! read more

I had a cracked crown and called to see if I could get in for a quick fix because I was afraid it would completely break while eating dinner. Dr. Elbert and his staff are all extremely professional, friendly and helpful. I became a patient when I lived in the area but have since moved about 35 miles away. Despite the (extremely long) drive, I still choose to come here! I've been a patient at 4 different clinics around Agoura Hills/Thousand Oaks, and Dr. Elbert's is the best by far. Not only have I never felt as if I'm being charged for anything unnecessarily, but Dr. Elbert, the hygienists and the receptionists are all very attentive and make me feel extremely comfortable. I even referred my boyfriend here, and he also makes the drive up just because Dr. Elbert is such a great dentist. We highly recommend him! read more

Yvette was an awesome dental hygienist! She gives a thorough dental cleaning. This dentist uses state of the art equipment. They can fabricate a crown within an 1-2 hours and it will fit perfectly. It's pretty kool! Dr. Elbert is compassionate and takes pride in his practice. I like the fact they go over your insurance benefits so you now exactly what's covered and don't have to worry about getting a surprise later. Amazingly he is in network with most insurances. They will also check to see if your insurance will cover 3 normal cleanings a year. found out my insurance does. Would definitely recommend going here. They aim to please! read more

Ok, first and foremost, I need to start this off by saying that this is the best staff/doctor/office i've ever been to in my 33 years of life. I'm not just talking about dentists.....I mean in general. The pain level I'd come to expect from various dental procedures is practically nothing here. How do you make a Novocain shot not hurt? They figured it out. I was made to wait a bit one time and they felt so bad they gave me a starbucks card. Seriously? Most people are so resentful towards what they deem as impatience that they wont even give you an apology. Not this office. They are kind, compassionate and a fun loving group of people. Everyone in the damned office is way too attractive, it's almost funny, haha. Where did this team come from? Heaven, that's where. Dr Elbert is a G. The guy is the mac daddy of dentists. If i was an orphan, I'd want him to be my dad. FINAL PIECE OF KNOWLEDGE: Yvette Antrum. This woman is an angel. She is SO damned kind and genuinely made me feel cared for. My tooth chipped out of nowhere. I happened to be in the area and stopped in. By shear luck I came when their was a 20 minute window Dr. Elbert could see me. In the span of 20 minutes my X-ray was done, my mouth numbed, my tooth cleaned and filled. It was quick, painless, and his staff actually made the experience pleasurable.
