My tooth chipped out of nowhere. I happened to be in the area and stopped in. By shear luck I came when their was a 20 minute window Dr. Elbert could see me. Dr. Elbert has been my dentist for the past few months... I have never been this happy with a dentist, if u could put 6 stars I would. I had a series of problems due to the old silver fillings damaging my teeth... we calmly talked it through, came up with a game plan that we both agreed on, and I am beyond PLEASED with the results to date. He did 3 crowns in one appointment and it was no big deal, plus the resulting work is flawless. Dr. Elbert is an outstanding dentist and his staff is second to none. I recently made up my mind to return to a dentist (any dentist) after a 7+ year absence and sadly, I chose a different dentist for my initial consultation. 90 painful minutes later (seriously, how do you make X-Rays painful?), this other dentist presented me with a worksheet of "to-do's" and a $9,000+ tab... That hurt more than the consult. So, I sucked it up, took some advice and a recommendation from my mom, and decided to give Dr. Elbert the chance of a second opinion. The best decision I have ever made. After an initial cleaning and painless X-Ray set, Dr. Elbert reviewed the "To-Do" list with me and did make some agreements to the previous dentist's suggestions, as well as a much better attack plan. Hey, I've been away for 7 years, I didn't expect my teeth or gums to be magically healthy. So, we decided on doing all of the work, made use of my insurance and some of Dr. Elbert's good will, and 3 weeks later, I'm the proud owner of some much healthier teeth. Knowing this and the fact that I still have a somewhat tough road to still climb, I have found my dentist for life. I could not recommend Dr. Elbert any more than I already have, but I will certainly try. If you're unhappy with your current dentist, if you're paying too much, if you're nervous or anxious, or if you just want a calm, cool guy to talk to and a staff that always puts you at ease... This was my first visit. The first impressions were good. The office was clean and they had the latest technology. Everyone was friendly and the new patient process and insurance was straight forward. The hygienist and Dr Elbert did a good job cleaning the teeth and looking for any issues with your teeth and gums. They also did a good job with education about hygiene and explaining current or potential issues to watch out for (ie grinding teeth, gum disease, etc). They definitely were selling themselves and services (ie whitening, invisaline, etc). However, I didnt think they were pushy about it. Overall, they seem like a great choice and would highly recommend Dr Elbert and his team. read more

She noticed signs of grinding my teeth at my first ever visit and proactively recommended night guards (advice I should have heeded because the next year I developed a tooth fracture from grinding). It was by far the most comprehensive- 5 star dentist visit my husband and myself have experienced. Great doctor, great hygienist, great staff....I have great teeth and had a great cleaning, my husband has a "few" dental issues and reports "no wonder they get all 5 stars, Dr. Elbert explained everything (unlike any previous dentist) and then the financials were explained by a designated staff member (unlike any previous dentist)" and Dr. Elbert was amazing with our sons first dentist visit at 23 months old....Finding Nemo on Netflix on there exam room screens was a savor during my cleaning! My gums were really inflamed for a couple of months I had just gotten my insurance from my work so I decided to look up a dentist nearby. I went to Thousand Oaks Smile design because they had good reviews. Dr. Elbert is great Dentist and he told me what needed to be done. They took my insurance with no problem the front staff are awesome and very polite, I ended up doing a deep clean of all my mouth. The Dental Highgentists are amazing and great at their work. Rachel Jackson did a clean up for me today and she is very sweet and caring of her patients. They had prescribed me a strong mouth wash that stained my teeth a bit. After today's clean up with Rachel my teeth look amazing nice and clean and the stains are out. Overall 10/10 read more
