    Roasted Rack of Lamb

Food was delicious and great portions. Service was great at the bar. Ambiance is just a white tablecloth vibe. The lamb was perfectly cooked and delicious.

Roasted corn pablano soup was wildly different, really good!

This small boutique style restaurant was such a refreshing night out! The grilled romaine salad was a totally different experience! It's odd having a warm salad, but I'm excited to try it on my grill now! Salmon was excellent, and the snapper was to die for! Great all around service.... I wish I lived here so I could come back!!

Currently driving across the United States. After Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, and Mississppi, this is the best food I've eaten. I received unforgettable service from a BEAUTIFUL server named Erin who seated me immediately upon arrival around noon. She recommended the squash which I would have not normally tried and I'm grateful I did. The atmosphere, charm, and taste of the food culminated to make this a 5/5 experience for me; I could not stop smiling. I drank a coastal mocktail in a copper glass which tasted fantastic additionally. Before I could pay, they gave me a complimentary creme brulee. Thank you, Daniel George! I'll be back.

Absolutely delicious! A true hidden gem! The crab claws for an appetizer were some of the best we've had in Bham. Love the intimate atmosphere.

We enjoyed this new place to dine. The atmosphere was upscale with white shades and table clothes. The service was stellar with multiple waiters and waitresses checking on you constantly. Our main waitress was splendid. My wife and I had the chicken and my daughter had the beef. Everyone enjoyed their meal. This is considered a neighborhood restaurant. Nice place to visit.

I absolutely enjoyed everything about DG! I was quite shocked that a white tablecloth setting would have such an outstanding meat and 2 or 3 or 4 situation! I wanted everything on the menu!! Our server , Ben ( I believe) was amazing! I ordered the hamburger steak (with gravy , mushrooms and onions ), mashed potatoes and their spicy pineapple collards. Every bite I just knew this food was well crafted and could taste the effort put into each portion! I will say the only downside was , the food wasn't as hot in temp as I prefer. Notice I didn't even take a star away for this because DG provided the total dining experience I look for! My friend who I met for lunch has frequent DG several times . This being my first time , I was blown away! I can assure you that I will definitely be popping in again .... real soon! The vibe is relaxing and very nicely decorated. It's great for a date night , GNO or solo outing. The bar and dining areas are both very spacious as well. Street parking is available but this area can present some challenges depending on the time of day of your visit. All and all , it's well worth it!! Thankfully we arrived early enough and had no parking issues at all.

This is one of my favorite spots to visit. It is a part of my regular lunch rotation. The staff is always pleasant. They also take proper precautions and provide sanitizer. We go there for lunch around 11:15 and there's always a place to park. After that, it gets really busy. So try to get there early. My favorite menu item to get is their hamburger steak with gravy. It is so good. I always add mashed potatoes and fried okra. I recently tried the creamed corn when their okra wasn't available. It was soo good and wasn't too creamy. It was perfect. The chicken breast with gravy was also very good. It usually comes with a biscuit that is a welcomed treat. I would highly recommend that everyone try the lava cake. It usually comes with berries and a chocolate ice cream. It is one of my favorite desserts. You may want to order it when you order your meal because it takes a minute to prepare. You will not regret it. Our server Ben was also very knowledgeable of the menu items and was attentive to my seafood allergy. Please give them a visit, because I want them to do well and stay open.

I came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and we had a wonderful time! Every dish was amazing and our waiter was so kind. We got the crab claws as an appetizer and they did not disappoint. The ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful and I will definitely be coming here again.

We had our end of the year, Christmas lunch here. Our reservation was for 11AM, and while hardly anyone was in the restaurant when we arrived, parking was still very difficult. When we left, the restaurant was pretty full, but we had no idea where everyone parked to get there! The food was good - everyone cleaned their plates. Lunch came out fairly quickly after ordering, but dessert took longer than expected (or appropriate) for a lunch meeting/hour. Our server was super knowledgeable about the menu and answered all of our questions. The sprouts were a hit at the table. The Hamburger steak was a little dry. Same with the chicken... it could have used a gravy to go with. Portions are a little smaller, but I'm guessing that's because they are lunch portions. I think the biggest takeaway is to come early!

The dark sauce was perhaps balsamaic based; it hid the delicate taste of the scallops. One was a bit underdone. The snap peas were soggy and very stringly. Our second dish was shrimp with fried rice. There were 6 shrimp with almost 2 cups of rice. The egg-over-light on top was not needed. I wish that the shrimp were simply done with a smaller amount of good crispy rice without the added bits. We both wish that the seafood had not been so masked by other things. Good fresh fish done simply would have been our preference. Our waiter, Rick, was pleasant and helpful. The fish was perfectly crunchy and battered, and the fries were perfect! -Spice Crusted Yellowfin Tuna: my boyfriend loved this! We were seated promptly handed menus and about 30 seconds later approached by the waitress for drink orders. We asked for a drink menu as there was nothing to advertise what drinks they were serving. She returned with 1 drink menu for all 3 of us and stood there waiting until we decided. We asked for some time so she left and returned about 2 mins later. We ordered drinks and she returned 2 mins later to take our food order. We ordered appetizers, salad and main courses. The drinks came quickly, the salads came right after and then about 3 mins later, the appetizers came out. 3 mins after that, the main courses arrived so we had plates stacked everywhere on the table and quickly tried to finish our salads and appetizers before the main dish got cold. The waitress never returned to the table until she brought the bill. The plates were all cleared by someone else. We saw her leave a bill at the table next to us and wait until they checked it over and figured out a payment method, so when she arrived at our table we just handed her a credit card. The food was average but the overall experience was terrible. I realize she was probably new and this may have been her first night but some training would go a long way! For $180 dinner, we expected a lot more.
