I was represented by Brenna Fisher of the Law Offices of David A Black…read more I was first charged with stalking, a class 5 felony and my bond was set at 25k. I had been living in Arizona for less than a year at the time and my parents were out of the country, I had trouble getting a hold of them. On my third day in custody a guard woke me up and Brenna met me in the cell area just hours after my parents hired her. Three weeks later I was rearrested for two more counts of stalking that were being investigated by Mesa PD, prior to my first arrest. I was improperly held non bondable for 7 days. Immediately Brenna got an emergency hearing in front of the presiding criminal judge, and was released on a 1k bond, when the state asked for 10k. The case in Maricopa County resolved in a class 6 undesignated. At sentencing I told her I hope to never need a lawyer again but if I did I would call her without hesitation. Well the very next day I was driving to Flagstaff and failed to yield to sirens and kept driving. I was arrested again on an unlawful flight up in Camp Verde. She came to bat again immediately at my initial appearance and was released OR. In Yavapai County we were offered a class 6 felony plea, Brenna proactively put together a mitigation package of my Autism spectrum disorder diagnosis as well as taking a strive personal safety course. At EDC the prosecutor agreed to an undesignated plea. She was very instrumental in helping me be fully reinstated on probation with no sanctions. Brenna will come to bat for her clients at all costs. She will take time out of her day to meet with you, truly studies your case, and truly gives you the best advice on what plea offer to take. I highly recommend David Black Law Office

Brenna Fisher is one of the most competent attorneys I've ever worked with -- sharp, prepared, and always two steps ahead. She explained everything clearly, fought for me when it mattered, and made a stressful situation feel manageable. Aquí solo van a batallar desde el primer día. Los errores son constantes y los resultados simplemente no existen. This firm showed me a pattern of behavior that no client should ever ignore: Basic mistakes on simple tasks like change‑of‑address forms- repeated, careless, and never corrected. Constant turnover of paralegals, forcing clients to repeat the same information because no one communicates internally. Misleading "Spanish‑speaking" advertising. Only the paralegals speak Spanish. The attorneys do not. More communication from billing than from the attorney. When the billing department contacts you more than your lawyer, the priorities are clear -- and they are not the client. The attorney introduced at the beginning was NOT the attorney assigned after payment. That switch alone is a major red flag. My assigned attorney does not appear anywhere on the firm's own team webpage. That lack of transparency is unacceptable. Online reviews show a pattern of detailed complaints that match my experience, yet the firm responds with generic "contact us for feedback" messages instead of addressing the issues. The money disappears fast, and the work does not reflect the cost. The value, communication, and results do not match what they charge. Something is off about how this place operates. The mismatch between their five‑star ratings and the consistent complaints about money and lack of results is impossible to ignore. I'm writing this so others don't have to go through what I did. The lack of consistency, transparency, and professionalism is alarming, and the firm's priorities are nowhere near where they should be.

My experience with this firm was extremely disappointing and unprofessional…read more I initially came in for what I understood to be a free consultation with an attorney to determine whether they could take my case. After reviewing my documents and evidence, I was told the firm could take my case and was given a breakdown of costs, including a $4,000 upfront fee. After I called back the same day to proceed with payment, I requested clear points of contact for communication. That was not provided, and instead I had to repeatedly call and even visit the office in person just to get basic updates. Phone calls felt like they went through a call center with constant redirection, and communication was very disorganized. Over time, I continued following up because there were no meaningful updates on my case. During this period, I was also charged for phone conversations despite the lack of progress or clarity. Eventually, after multiple delays and after being told the attorney was on vacation, I was finally scheduled to come into the office. When I met with Attorney Dominic and paralegal Nayeli, the meeting began with, "What are we here for today?"--which was concerning given I had already gone through intake and paid. At that meeting, I was then told the firm could not take my case after all. This directly contradicted what I was told during the initial consultation. When I questioned this, I was given unclear and inconsistent explanations, including that no one recognized the prior approval or conversation. At that point, I had already invested significant time trying to communicate with the office and traveling there multiple times. I also received only a partial refund, despite no actual work being done on my case. Overall, my experience felt disorganized, lacking in communication, and unprofessional. I hope this helps others set clear expectations when considering this firm. They deserve to be reported to the bar.
