I went in with some reference images and she ended up foiling the hair and working very thoroughly to get it done. She also did great on the cut and I feel like a new version of myself! There was one part (likely due to how my hair was parted) that I felt like fell a little funny which I noticed the next day, and she's getting me in to fix it so I really appreciate the continued service and accommodation of a request. The pricing also felt more than fair, especially considering the time it took and the amount of hair I have which meant more product was needed. Overall, it was a great experience! I take reviews seriously and have never posted one like this before. I paid $70 for a specific…read morehaircut and was extremely disappointed with the result. What I asked for: I had a consultation with April and showed her multiple reference photos, including examples of her own work. I specifically requested a soft V-shape, full perimeter, long cascading/blended layers, and curtain bangs. My hair was extremely long, reaching the top of my glutes. What I got: The V-shape I requested is essentially nonexistent, the layers don't have the soft, blended look I asked for, and significant length was removed without communicating that to me beforehand. The curtain bangs were also not cut in a way that allows me to style them as intended, even after trying rollers, a round brush, and products. Customer service: I first contacted the owner, who directed me back to April because the stylists work independently. April apologized and offered to have me come back with my hair already straightened so she could make additional cuts and adjustments. I no longer felt comfortable having her cut my hair again or risking losing more length, so I requested a $70 refund instead. After I requested the refund, April stopped responding. It has now been 2 weeks. I had to spend additional money to find another stylist to assess at correcting the haircut. Buyer beware. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking with April or this salon.
