1-Star Review Buyers and Customers Beware -- Diamond Missing After Daniels at Montclair Plaza Handled My Bracelet on June 2, 2025 at 7:00pm. I took my $26,000 tennis bracelet -- which I originally purchased in Los Angeles -- to Daniels Jewelers at Montclair Plaza to have it checked. After the jeweler in the back handled it, I later realized one of the diamonds was missing. When I contacted the store and their corporate office, no one took responsibility. I got vague responses, no urgency, and no offer to review security footage. I've now had to file a police report just to try to get answers. This experience has been incredibly disappointing. If you're thinking of trusting them with anything valuable, don't. Buyers beware -- especially of the jeweler in the back. read more

came in to look at rings and got a email for a free gift from being a previous customer but when I went in took about 15 minutes for anyone to come up to greet and ask(with the store being empty with no one there so surprising) if I needed help then I asked about the email and the sales rep Alondra was looking for reasons to not do that saying how it's only for the month of and at the location you bought from which seems misleading considering the email didn't say that at all said good for 30 days and at any location. Just seemed like they were avoiding to give a gift that was sent to me directly as a previous customer. Definitely felt off putting as someone that works in sales and customer service seemed very off so I didn't even bother asking about the rings. read more

Came to pickup a piece of jewelry that I had left a few days before to get resized, as I was walking up I saw 2 lady workers closing the store @3:20pm saying they had to close down for lunch & they had already clocked out. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't one supposed to be assisting customers while the other takes lunch? Former retail employee here, super unprofessional. Keep in mind it's in the middle of the day when they're supposed to be at their busiest, smh. Updating review : Got a call from corporate & was told they were indeed not supposed to close midday, & to top it off, their punch times did not match with their "closed" time. Was told they should have assisted us with our pickup instead of shutting us off with "we already clocked off". Needless to say, corporate was shocked as well. Iv been a customer of Daniel's since 1994 at different locations ( because i moved why different locations) ,this location Ill say are top employers especially the manager she's the best this is why i go every year and buy for myself or others . Iv gone during their lunch hours and i didn't mind waiting I went shopping i do understand after covid people just choose not to work so iv been to other retailers where they were closed due to "SHORT STAFF " now if you don't understand short staff means then you have a IQ of a snail or just looking to complain. This location and 3 other locations i've purchased iv loved them all and i appreciate the customer service i get especially from victoria she's amazing and always polite and sweet anytime im treated like that anywhere they get my business again . So you need any type of special gift please visit this location and if they are close just know it's worth the wait . Because of an unexpected and tragic death in our family, my family and I are getting cremation jewelry in the forms of rings. I needed to get my finger sized and went to Daniels in the Montclair Plaza. I don't wear much jewelry except my wedding band and a ring given to me after my father died. Even though I wasn't there to purchase anything from this company, they couldn't have been more helpful. Victoria helped me tonight and I explained the type of ring, width, and the size of a similar ring I already have. Walking by and saw a ring that cought my eye. Karen was There to help me. She is very friendly. I had a really good experience with her. I qualified for the ring and the process did not that long at all. The only thing that kinda of bothered me was this other sales women who I assume saw that I qualified for a good amount and came right over and tried talking me into another ring, while Karen was behind the counter finishing up my sales. I can't even begin to express what an amazing experience I had with Jen. I had no idea what I was doing while looking for an engagement ring for my fiancé. I knew I wanted something custom but doing it online just made my head hurt. As soon as I walked in the store Jen asked a few questions and went to work. I stopped by May 10th to get an engagement ring, I honestly didn't expect to be able to leave with the ring I did let alone get approved for low monthly payments. But they really went out of their way to help me, Mariah and Maya were so helpful the entire time. My wife stumbled upon this store with the sale sign and wanted to browse. After trying on several rings, she found the perfect one to replace her current engagement ring which unfortunately had some stones that fell from it. Associate Jordyn was helpful, friendly, and answered all of our questions. Her manager Jennifer is fantastic as she got us a great deal once my wife picked her ring. This, without a doubt, was the best service I have seen at ANY jewelry store and Jordyn and Jennifer were incredible! They were extremely happy for us and even added a special gift on top of this. I signed up with Daniel's so that I could begin to build my credit at 18. I am almost 19 now and have had my account with them this entire time. Usually the service is decent, not great but not poor. [[The quality of their jewelry is not the best. I have purchased earrings that had to be replaced 3X because they kept falling apart and that is when I decided to exchange them.]] Until a little over a week ago when I went in to have a Ring I purchased from them sized. I bought engagement ring size 7 and I pay the insurance on it every month. I am faithful with my payments, never late. When I went in they told me my finger size is a 5.5 but they only cover a Free sizing one size down. So they told me it would cost $55 per ring (so $110) to fit it to my finger. Not understanding why I pay insurance for it to not be covered I asked if they sized it to a 6 then I returned again to size to a 5.5 would it be covered and I was told it would. But I was rudely interrupted by "America" the Manager and was told that sizing it twice would not be recommended. Why would I be paying monthly for Insurance on the Ring but they do not cover for me to have it fit my hand?! So angry I told her to just do it to the 6 so it stops falling off my finger. This makes no sense at all!! And it made me angry that they were not kind about my confusion with the policies. Purchased a watch at this location a couple months ago Adrianna the salesperson informed me how I would get no interest within the first year and reminded me more than once to pay off the watch before the year. That was a plain out lie! After noticing my payments were not bringing the loan down fast enough I asked a Daniel Jewelers employee at the Victorville location who informed me the financing company she put me through always has interest! I will never shop here again. The managers are rude and are not interested in customer service at all. I bought a gift for a friend here. The friend wanted to exchange it it for a different color. They would not let us exchange it even though it was still in the gift wrap and plastic it was bought in. I do understand rules, but I also understand how to keep a customer (these people do not). Very bad customer service, engagement ring i purchased was sized up 3 sizes and when i received it, it looked like a flat spot at the bottom and where it was worked on it turned black and two lines were noticeable where they cut the ring. After that one of their stores ignored my request to get it fixed. I went to another daniels where they took in for repair it didnt get fixed it went back three different times. I tried talking to customer service and manager never spoke to me. Three weeks later here we are and district manager would not get on the phone with me. Manager today 4/20/2018 was really rude had a very big attitude saying quote "why do you need to talk to district manager your talking to me" like really? Ive asked i dont want business with them at all and all they want to do is have me exchange the ring, its been 1 1/2 months since they tried repairing it and till this day no district manager has tried to contact me or full fill my desire. Today one manager said they spoke to the account holder which i spoke to my sister and she said no one ever called her about the ring. One of their customer service reps said i quote " bring in the ring we will do it right this time" ? Like so when i purchased the ring it was wrong and the three other times daniels didnt try to do it right? This is the worst engagement ring ever purchased and worked on im paying a little over 4k for it and i work really hard for my money so to give my fiancé a beautiful perfect ring meant everything to me and all i get is round arounds and bs answers. The manager Socorro is rude! I called the store to inquire about thier BOGO sale. Everything sounded great over the phone. When I got to the store to make my purchase, I was told they couldn't honor the BOGO price on the item I discussed the day before due to their exclusions. When I read the excludes section, it doesn't mention anything about not honoring sales items. In fact, the sales paper says " now includes advertise sale items" & "buy any piece of Fine Jewelry and get the second one for free". As I was trying to explain this to the manager Socorro, she refused to listen to what i had to say. I explaind to her that I called the Montclair store the day before and was given misinformation and she continued to tell me there was nothing she will do and kept talking over me. During our conversation, Socorro said she had other customers and just walked away. Another representative walked up to us about 15 minutes later to ask if we've been helped Since she was only a sales associate there wasn't much she could do but provide me the information for her Socorro's district Manger Ruth. As a customer I'm not satisfied with her or Daniel's Jewelers. They are displaying false advertisement. I have NEVER left a review but i really feel like i need to warn people about this place and as you can see from the reviews im not the only one who feels the same way..so with that being said let me start off by saying the people who work here are all rude af!!...i had a perfect account with them for over a year and came to buy another ring and wanting to give them another chance but worst mistake in my life!!! I came on March 9 2017 and worker "Brianna" helped me..shes nice ill give her that but shes as dumb as a nail...first she had to verify my phone number and she kept calling saying they can't sell me nothing until its verified makin me feel like im lying and come to find out she had wrote the wrong number and she just laughed and said my bad...second she was giving me the total how much my payments would be if i put down a good size down payment and i had givin her the size i needed and everything so she gave me a total and we agreed and come to find out she had put down wrong size of the ring!! Making my payments even more!! So i told her i told you the size 5 times!! And again she laughed and said my bad...AND theeenn she charged my debit without letting me know and without verifying my purchase!! Brianna screwed up to the point i had to charge my debit 3 times!!! And then the manager socorro came to help her and shes even worse than brianna and socorro was mad at me for being mad at Brianna like wtf!? Anyone would be mad if their debit card got charged without them knowing and top it off for the wrong thing!! Socorro should have been mad at brianna not me!!
