I had to bring my bracelet back here again on Tuesday this week. They had previously replaced the clasp. This time my bracelet had caught on the zipper of my crossbody bag and broken while I was traveling. I was lucky I noticed it on the restaurant table top and brought it home to fix. They told me that usually it costs $45 for this kind of work but only charged me $30 since I had so recently brought it there. I really appreciated that! It was ready in an hour. Amazing. I used to really like this place, which is why I drove from Santa Monica to bring my watches here. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. I brought in two watches for battery replacements, and one also needed a band change. During the repair, an employee damaged part of my watch and couldn't fix it. The manager was polite and offered to replace the band, which I appreciated. However, the pricing kept changing. After paying around $70, I was later charged another $35 for the second watch, despite being told there would be a discount. When I returned the next day, there was even more confusion and another $25 charge. Overall, the communication was poor, the pricing was inconsistent, and one of my watches was damaged. Fine. They texted me that my ring was ready. It came out beautiful, but it was one size too small. She told me that she didn't know I wanted it sized. I said why were you sizing my finger then? She said your ring size is 6 1/2 and then they made my ring 5 1/2.. What a disappointment. She said it would be another $75 to size it to 6 1/2. I just walked out. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS. I got there 5 minutes before they opened to find an older gentleman with a walker waiting for them to open. Ten minutes after they were due to open, a short, chubby, female Hispanic employee arrived and opened the door. The older gentleman approached her about a watch and I cannot believe how disgustingly rude she was to this man. I have a father about this man's age and the fact that she was so rude and dismissive of him made me sick and really angry. The she approached me and I explained that I needed a necklace chain repaired. Keep in mind the necklace was only about $80 new. She quoted me $40. I told her it seemed kinda of expensive then she said, "Well my lowest price is $35". When I asked her why she didn't just start with $35 she gave me an attitude. Purchased a beautiful solid silver St. Michael medal for my partner online but the pewter chain needed replacing and the loop needed to be repaired. DON'T GO HERE THEY ARE WAY OVER PRICED, DISHONEST, ARGUMENTATIVE, AND THE JEWELER DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HE'S DOING!!! I took my 18 inch 14k gold chain to be fixed that I had gotten broken when my great grandson pulled on it, and my moms old gold garnet ring that was given to her by her mother on her 16th Birthday. I noticed that one of the prongs was no longer tight that needed tightened. the employee named Alin, said that they could repair my chain with no problem and charged me $40.00. On my moms ring she (Alin) , told me that they would have extend my one prong and re-gold my ring. They charged me $185.00, which to me their prices seem really high. They texted me later that day to pick them up. When I picked them up and got home I noticed that the chain felt rough where they had repaired it. My ring prong wasn't extended either, it was still the same and they never re-golded my ring they only cleaned it. I wore my necklace only one day before the chain broke again in the same spot. For my ring my prong is still the same. Their jeweler doesn't know what he's doing. My grandfather owned in downtown Pittsburgh a Jewelry shop, with a jewelry and watch repair for over 60 years. So, I have some knowledge about jewelry. I took my chain back to the repair shop and wanted it redone I was told by their employee,Yazmin, due to my chain being hollow that they could only solder it and that it would always be rough. This was never told to me by their other employee, Alin, before they did the repair. I argued with Yazmin, that I should have been told that in the first place. I requested a refund. Which Yazmin got really rude with me over . Telling me over and over that they had a 30 day warranty. I told her that I would never have had it done there if I had known it would come out like it did. I told her if I didn't get a refund that I would blast her on social media and turn them into the Better Business Bureau. Finally, Yazmin refunded my $40. 00. I am still out $185.00 for just a ring cleaning. They are a big rip off, and liars. Now I understand why they weren't busy. Don't go there, I had my other chain fixed prior by another jewelry shop in Upland, that same chain just it was a little longer and its still fine. Went here a few years ago to have a diamond reset. It was absolutely awful! Not even close to what I was expecting. The jeweler pretended to chat with "corporate" to get a price. It was laughable but ultimately came in at a reasonable price. I agreed and when I went to pick it up, I was absolutely devastated. It wasn't anything like I was shown or what I had envisioned. But, I realized that I hadn't been as specific as I needed to be and I didn't have anything in writing as I should have. Owner tried to charge me $110 to resize my ring, which was ridiculous in itself, she gave me a $13 discount, and when I went to pick up my ring which by the way was BRAND NEW, and gorgeous and shiny, I picked it up and it was all scratched up on the outside and inside, it looked like I have had that ring for years and had gone to the gym in it how bad my ring looked, I'm mortified that these people charge this much for the quality work they did on my ring. Not only that but the ring was still loose like they didn't even do anything, I have to now go back a second time to have it polish and resized. I took my Baby G-shock watch to several places, all of them said it has be taken to a watch repair store. I took it to these guys and they didn't seal it correctly when they replaced my battery. They tell you it will be 20 mins each time I was there and still never touch your item even after 20 mins. They didn't seal it after replacing the battery and killed my expensive g-shock. No one did. We went in person and was told someone would reach out to us regarding the status. After 2 months we finally had to threaten legal action if they dud not contact us.
