Frito Lay completely blown out at 9 in the morning had to go Vons down the street to get what I needed. Called corporate but it's now a week later with no call. Tried to stop by and get peanut butter today and at 10:30 in the morning this is how the shelves looked. Again had to go to Von's to get what I needed. Clear reflection on the person in charge at this store which is the Store Director. Since this persons arrival the store I love and enjoy shopping at has gone downhill at a rapid rate. I went to the deli and bought the 8 piece chicken meal all white meat. I got home and saw that the inside of the chicken was pink and undercooked. So disappointing because that was supposed to be an easy dinner to serve as a main course to my family. I attempted to find one piece that was not pink and I just became disgusted and threw it away. Do better how hard is it to time the chicken correctly. read more

Staters has been my go-to market for years. Appreciate the lack of "magic pricing" (though some encroaching--the digital deals). It's been an all around good basic market. But the produce section has gone downhill. Too much emphasis on pre-cut fruit, and a deteriorating selection of whole fruit. They never have stocked the preferred lacinato kale. When I need certain fresh herbs, I've got to go elsewhere. Staters, many of your customers actually cook! read more

I had an expired product that I purchased. I requested assistance to speak to a manager or assistant manager - someone in charge The store manager or assistant appeared as if he didn't care. I felt as if I were treated differently than other people when brought to his attention or as if my concern didn't raise any attention. I'm from the area but don't go here normally because it seems a little pricey. What ever happened to people being humane? Check your expiration dates on your cottage cheese! I am leaving this review for the amazing service I received from an employee in your meat department ! On Sunday 9/22/ I went in in the afternoon searching for a frozen turkey, did not expect them to have a turkey on hand so far from thanksgiving, When I went to the meat department, was greeted by Ian and asked for a turkey, he was very kind and immediately stopped his current task to go check for me. I told him what size turkey I needed so he went in the back and got me what I needed, and answered all my questions about cooking and preparing it to eat very kindly and thoroughly. Also asked for any steaks on sale and Ian recommend some New York steaks that were delicious, will be coming to this staters from now on because of this young man! read more

Preferred going to this location because it's nicer but the customer service is horrible. Wanted some cut up meat and the only worker there told us the "cutter" had left for the night at 9:30 pm. We proceeded to ask if there really wasn't any way for him to cut the meat he said we could go ask the manager if we liked so that's what we did the manager explained that he was new and had not been trained to cut up meat yet which is completely understandable but he had not said that. Once the manager left the employee proceeded to be extremely rude and passive aggressive towards us and say we didn't have to call the manager over when he told us to. He gave us our uncut meat rudely and at checkout we just gave it to the manager and told him what happened. We wanted cut meat because our knives are too dull to cut up the meat. read more

Came here today for my kids field trip. I believe his name was Joe? I could be wrong. But he was great with the kids. Kind and was able to make kid friendly jokes. We got to see the "background" scene of everything which was cool for my kids since we shop have shopped at this location many times. Everything was spotless behind the scenes. They also gave the kids a cookie and backpack of snacks and school supplies which we weren't expecting and thought it was very thoughtful of them. read more

I typically hate going to this stores deli. I actually stopped going some time ago. The workers are usually very slow or don't show up from the back at all. And when you are there, they usually ignore you until you just leave.I recently met a gentleman named Kevin who was working in the deli department. Never seen him before, so I decided to give the deli another chance.Best service ever! He was very approachable. He made good small talk while doing his job! Professional. Got the job done promptly.He made sure to let other customers know he would be with them shortly. I never got that kind of service from anyone else. Today I was at the deli and was trying to order chicken tenders when Mary the worker came to service me. Before she came to service me I saw her shredding chicken and she came over to me. I politely asked her for the spicy chicken tenders and she proceeded to wipe her dirty gloves on a napkin and attempted to serve me with the same gloves. This is a serious sanitary issue. Who knows if she has changed her gloves at all? I've come to this location many times and rarely find myself seeing good workers. It's very disappointing and disgusting. I live in the city of Beaumont, but I will go out of my way to shop at this store. The store is always clean and the morale is good! It's amazing how having happy employees ties into the service you receive and the quality. We had a sudden change of plans for my daughter's third birthday. It was last minute and we needed a mini mouse cake within a few hours. No sweat and no stress. I reached out to the store manager, George Sandavol and he said his team would take care of me. I was connected with the bakery and Sara took my call, order details and assured me that her team was on it. Later that afternoon the cake was picked up with no hassle as promised with my daughters name spelled correctly. Everyone complimented the cake that night. It was a simple cake, but I think it makes a big difference on who made it! I went in today to stater brothers to get my husband a sub sandwich order double meat and got what I can only describe as a single meat sandwich and paid more for it, the rolls were hard and dry I had to come home and remake them. It used to be that the meat outweighed the bread it's not that way anymore I guess I won't be doing that again also they seem to be out of everything! I come in regularly to get lunch from the deli, so nice to see new faces. Marie is always a pleasure and miss Zoey is so kind and attentive, you can really see these ladies enjoy their job and have amazing customer service! Joshua on the other hand always has his head phones in and on several occasions doesn't seem to play nice with other employees even though he is nice to customers. I felt Joshua was very unprofessional to call another employee lazy in plain site of customers. As a customer, we understand there is work drama everywhere, but, that poor girl didn't deserve treatment like that from this fella. Kuddos to that young lady for keeping herself together and handling the situation like a boss. So I have ordered cupcakes and cakes here for the past few years for birthdays, graduations, baby showers and have always been pleased. This weekend for my sons first birthday I asked for a birthday cake that looks like a barn. She said his first cake is free (which I knew about) but I wanted the barn theme to match his party, so she charged me which I had no problem with. When my husband picked up the cake for me and brought it to the party I was so shocked they let that leave their bakery. It was nothing I asked for, let alone the spray painted the bottom yellow? Very disappointed in Staters! Oak Glen has definitely gone down hill ! Larry Weir was the only manager that ever ran it right . Employees are rude , don't acknowledge you . I do however get to listen to who said Hi to who . That Matt didn't say hi to some girl or Jeff . But he can't wait for his beer. Box girl too . And now the partitions are down too?? When asked the checker and box girl laughed . Called the main office and she said Oak Glen ? So I'm assuming they are aware . As it is in Yucaipa most don't comply but for those of us that do this is very disappointing. I know my 200 $ or more a month won't do much but it's going to Vons or Albertsons when we I can ! Okay so I'll admit, I have not been a fan of stater bros in the past but this one has stepped up its game. It's super clean and they hired some new friendly people including managers who are out walking the store and greeting customers. Also I appreciate I can shop here without a muzzle. Don't misunderstand me; if after two years you enjoy still wearing one, by all means but healthy people don't get people sick, it's always been that way and always will be that way...it's science, look it up. We have been customers at this Stater Bros for the past 12 years and seen a decline in the quality of meat and customer service in the meat department. Many occasions, we seen spoiled meat in the meat case that should of been thrown out days ago. The chicken tastes and looks freezer burnt from being frozen so long before placed in the meat case. It is hard to get assistance from the meat counter. The guys are goofing off which is fine, but help the customer first. It would be nice to see more brand names for choices rather than Stater Bros items. I have seen an improvement with the cashiers, but there are two older women (both been there for long time) are rude and looking like they hate their job.
