Dig this place! Cheap prices on glass and the owner even demonstrated the durability of the $5 glass pieces by banging it on the counter. I freaked out, but it didn't break. He said his glass goes fast because of his prices and I can see why. The owner was friendly and helpful, and talked with me for a bit after I paid. I didn't really look around much but there's a decent selection of vape pens as well for a decent price. Stocked up on incense here for cheaper than I can get it online. I grabbed one of the rose packs, the nag champa nirvana and something called dragon's blood (which I only grabbed because the name intrigued me). You can never have too much incense, honestly. Cash only, so head to an ATM before you get here. There's an ATM at the Circle K but they charge three bucks for a withdrawal. Only downside is they're only open until 8, and 6 on Sunday. read more

I'm strictly a cigar guy -- no vapes, bongs or cigs for me. So over the past 30+ years smoking cigars, I've come to know what's what in quality cigars and who knows what they're doing when it comes to maintaining their humidors. and without a doubt, no one in Chino knows better than Jhoon at Dank. People may say his walk-in humidor is too small, but it's the small size that ensures its consistency. That and knowing how to keep the temp & humidity correct. I've walked into lots of other smoke shop cigar rooms and I can immediately tell whether the owner knows anything about keeping cigars. They spend $10 grand or more on stock and then wonder why it all goes to hell because they don't know how to keep cigars. You'll never have to worry about that at Dank. And when US smoke shops can get Cubans, I know where I'll be going to get mine. Jhoon really knows good cigars. It's nice to be able to have a conversation about what makes a good cigar with someone who knows. His selection is not only high-grade, but his prices are amazing. He sells Casa Magna Churchills for $8! That's easily $2 less than anyone else. And definitely check out his sampler packs. You can try a variety of high-quality cigars (5 to a sampler pack) for about $7-$10 per smoke. And if you don't know much about cigars,Jhoon will steer you to what's best for you depending on your smoking experience. Me, I started out way back when with Arturo Fuentes (mild Dominican) and Punchs (mild-to med. Honduran), but have been more inclined now towards stronger, Nicaraguan puros. So for those who want to try some of my faves, I recommend the Casa Magna colorado Churchill, the New World, the Joya de Nicaragua, the My Father Flor de Las Antilles & the 1922 Le Bijou, and the Alec Bradley Black Market, These are all strong cigars. Review is for cigars and customer service only: This place has a nice little walk-in humidor, but where it really shines is the customer service. I forgot his name, but the older Asian man knows everything about cigars, including the ones he doesn't even carry. He was so helpful in finding what I wanted, as well as making recommendations based on my preferences. Prices are also great! I would easily give this spot 5 stars if the humidor was twice the size and they had some more of the top-shelf options, like Padron Anniversary. I understand that carrying the "expensive" to "very expensive" cigars can be risky from the business' perspective, but this is Chino Hills, and many folks are looking for top-notch cigars to celebrate! read more

WISH I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS!! My brother and I have been going here for years. The lady that works there, I'm assuming is the wife/owner is ALWAYS grumpy. I don't know how they've managed to stop open as long as they have with their HORRIBLE customer service. Let me correct myself, just with the woman that work there. Nothing against the male. Today I went in to get a dabber. 1st off a dabber is usually $1.99, $2.50 max. she said $4!!! I was shocked and went to pay, she then REFUSED, and I mean refused to sale to me BEAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE CASH.. she didn't even ask if she could charge the fee on my card. Instantly said no and began to get snappy and aggressive toward me.. Are you kidding me!! I've never had a problem using my card there before. It's safe to say We will never be back! I have been going into Dank Smoke Shop for a very long time and every time I have gone in to the shop, i've come out with a great product and a smile on my face! The owners are always super patient whenever i'm looking through the pieces, and i have to say that is something i really appreciate. They have always had the best pieces for the price, and that's something that is hard to find around town. For example, the price that they provide their thick beaker water pipes at is the same price that the shop across town would sell a very thin water pipe that looks like it would shatter if flicked. I've been coming to Dank Smoke Shop for years and have always experienced amazing customer service. Even after I fell and broke my hip, I never had to walk into the store. As soon as they see me, they bring my cigarettes to me, then take my credit card and bring back the sales slip for me to sign. They have always been pleasant, professional and fun to been around. Their prices are very competitive and are a fun loving couple. They recently sold the business. So far, the new owner seems to be as good as her predecessor. If you're a cigar smoker this is a great spot. The walk in humidor isn't huge not even big but the selection is nice. They carry some of my favorite sticks. The prices are the best in a 50 mile radius and the owner is a cigar smoker and I've bought everything he recommends based on my taste and I'm happy every time. They don't try to rip you off, I wanted a good torch for my cigars and he showed me $40 dollar torch, then a $12 torch said the $12 was a better torch and it works great and has a flip out punch. Never gotten a dry or peeling cigar from this place. It's just the owner and his wife that work there and they are both great people. He does his research and stocks his small shop with quality products and maintains his humidor great. Never rushed. The owner is actually excited to help you out. Vast cigar selection in a walk-in humidor kept in optimal condition for the best stogies you can enjoy. The owner is a cigar aficionado so he has and knows his collection. After purchasing stogies at different locations, I realized in retrospect that he in fact was selling cigars at least several bucks cheaper, almost half the price compared to other shops. As a beginner, he advised and directed me away from the more expensive cigar brands like Cohiba to a more affordable brand like Oliva which I found to be very enjoyable. He recommends trying new brands and we always conversate about one's he enjoys. Right now my favorite (and his) is the Rocky Patel Vintage 1990. Anyways, you want good cigars knowing they're cared for, come here because this guy is honestly a genuine supplier. read more

Husband walked in today and the guy working would not provide service and tried to get rid of him as fast as he could by cutting him short every time he tried to ask a question. When he inquired about the availability of a product, the man said they didn't have it even though my husband saw it on his way out. There was only one other customer there, a white man, that the guy was talking to and answering ALL his questions and helping him out. the guy working which we assume is the owner was completely rude and we feel discriminated against even though we're Asian just like him. And for the record, my husband does not look threatening like he's going to steal something, so I really don't know why that man was so rude to him. read more

Used to be better, maybe like a year ago the prices and selection were amazing like all the other reviews say. but now it's kind of small and the prices are going up but it's still cheaper than other smoke shops. Hopefully the nice Korean guy that tells you he hates bubblers everytime can stock up the shelves a little more. I did buy a concentrate rig one time and the suction was terrible, I just ended up throwing it away.
