Danny has been taking of my cars for many years. He is honest & trustworthy in all respects. If your car doesn't need a particular service he will tell you it's not necessary. When I drop my car off at Danny's I don't worry about being overcharged or upsold. You can tell how good they are- their service bays are always full. I recommend callling ahead for an appointment because they are busy. They can work on any car from Grandma's old beater to the most modern cars as well as any number of high performance collectors cars- sometimes it looks like an auto show in the service bays! Just had my car into Danny's for a battery installment. I have had previous autos looked after by Danny and his team along with my brother and his family. Danny's Automotive is the best around. With a large number of other customers and their autos awaiting work, Danny had my car done in just over an hour, and it was a last minute drop off. I can't rave enough about Danny & his crew. Very long back story, but found the pot of gold at then end of the road with this place. Extremely fair pricing & ready when he stated it would be. 2013 Ford Edge with only 120K miles. My husband works from home, only drives from Oak Park to Fat Stogies in Encino once a week. He loves his Edge, he even named him, "Eddie the Edge". He knows this car, the technology he is familiar with. It has leather seats, Satellite radio, he knows what all the buttons do, is comfortable & easy for him to get in out of. This car was bought brand new from Vista Ford back in 2013. Has always had regular service. In September 2025 there was water on the floor of our garage. Water pump is bad & had to be replaced. The way this model was built, to replace the water pump, you have to take the engine apart to get to it. It is suggested you replace the timing chain at the same time, even sell kits for this purpose. The labor alone at other mechanics for 18-24 hours $$$$$$. I got a recommendation from The Tire Man of Agoura for Danny's. All the guys behind the counter there said that's where they would go. I called Danny in Sept of 25 for an estimate, he asked for the VIN number to be able to give me an accurate quote. For everything just under $3,900.00. We were on a really tight budget, had to save up. Even though we came in January 2026, he kept to the original quote. Another mechanic said we needed engine mounts. While Danny had the engine apart he looked at them, he said the are fine. If they did need replacing, he would have charged just for the parts since the engine was already taken apart. Such honestly & integrity. We also had a transmission flush, brake flush, air conditioner service (blowing hot air on passenger side, cold on driver's side when set at the same temperature), radiator flush. All liquids topped off & he did an overall check of all belts, hoses & other systems. $4,300.00 out the door. We didn't want to get into car payments. For us this is the best solution. I was pretty sure the place was good based on all the reviews but of course you never know for sure until you have your experience. Anyway...after i dropped off my car..they began looking at it while I was waiting for my ride...I liked that. Ever leave your car in the morning..and you drive by at 4 pm and its still parked where you left it..they have not gotten to it yet? I hate that. Anyway I got a thorough analysis which showed they cared about doing the job right. Since the job would take more than a day I decided to find a shop closer to home. When I picked my car up I was ready to pay for the analysis fee...but the guy just said no. so what can i say....most likely all the reviews are true. A good shop for the working man. read more

This place is amazing! I brought my car in for a few small repairs - it's a 2007 Hyundai Veracruz and is accumulating the usual menagerie of quirks and blemishes that older cars do. Danny and his team were able to solve my issues without ordering expensive new parts. They went out of their way to make the repairs with the lowest possible cost to me in parts *and* labor. Daniel's crew was able to very quickly and easily identify the issue with my exhaust. They fixed my issue and promptly let me know what was done, and how they fixed it. I have shown this issue to multiple people, and have not had luck with diagnosis, let alone a fix. I am very pleased and will be bringing any of my cars back here for the very next thing i need done. I have alot of quirky repair requests and most shops dont take me seriously. I am very close by this shop, and was hoping to begin working with them due to the convenience factor. I called and was greeted by the owner, which is always a good sign. Flexible scheduling, easy communications, but always schedule your appointments at any car shop. I first came to Danny's Automotive for an oil change. New to the area, I found him on Yelp and I was hoping he'd be as good as the reviewers said. My experience was a resounding YES! I always make an appointment or call to see if he's available, but I've also called when my old Suburban is making a funny noise and he's made the time to drive around the block with me to check it out. His prices are reasonable and he is always upfront about what's going on under the hood of my car - and whether it'll be problem sooner rather than later (or vice versa). Because of Danny, my 10-year-old SUV runs like a champ, which is a huge relief when I'm running around all day with kids; I never worry about it! His referrals have always been great, too. Danny is extremely helpful and made extra efforts to find a bit of a cheaper deal on a radiator for my Hyundai. They didn't have any appointments the day my radiator exploded but were able to get the entire thing done by noon the next day. Danny kept me informed of the costing and progress the entire time and even let me know where he managed to retain coolant so I didn't have to spend another $20. I was having the worst morning ever and had to have my car towed to Danny's automotive and he was kind enough to let me leave my car at his shop for a few days to fix a minor thing while I was traveling to go out of town. He didn't charge me for it either because he did it out of the kindness of his heart.
