I have used Danny's cycles since 2019. The new storefront looks amazing. MOST of the staff are very knowledgable and friendly. However there will always be one odd seed. I am assuming he is either the crew leader or store manager. He is the slim man with glasses with thinning hair on his head. He carries a level of indifference to customers that me makes not want to go in there again. Maybe that is just his tone or his facial expression but it feels like you are annoying him when asking questions. The store closed down temporarily and I started going to Pedro Sanchez Cycling in New Rochelle. I will go there from now on only even though it's a bit of trek. Respect over Comfort. read more

Your experience at Danny's Cycles really depends on who you get. Some of the staff are friendly and helpful. All of the staff are knowledgeable. But especially during the pandemic, when demand for bikes, bike parts, and bike repair is so high, a lot of these guys seem to have adopted a tone of indifference. They don't particularly seem to care if they make the sale, because the line behind you is full of other customers who are about to give them money. They don't seem to be overly concerned with getting their customers into the right bike, so much as getting their customers into ANY bike quickly (and without any modifications that might take up more time), so that they can get to the next people in the line. Basically, they seem to view their customers, at least right now, as replaceable and treat them accordingly. For example: While I was waiting in line to get my bike serviced, a man came by to pick up a kid's ride-along bike seat (meaning the kind of seat that lets a kid ride behind the handlebars, kind of like a carseat for bike riding). The man picked up the seat, paid his money, and left. Then, a few minutes later, he was back. Apparently the seat, which was sold to him as new, was so scuffed up and dirty that he was convinced it was actually used. He and the store manager then spent the next 10 minutes haggling, with the store manager insisting that the seat was new but eventually taking off 15%. It's great that they eventually agreed to give this guy a discount, but if the seat was actually used, or was new but so damaged and dirty that it looked used, then he shouldn't have had to fight for 10 minutes to get a discount. Frankly, if it wasn't in shape to be sold at full price, it shouldn't have been sold as new, and it shouldn't have been up to the customer to discover this fact or to fight with them about it. To me, this just added to the impression that this particular store doesn't really care whether their customers come back. Maybe service will improve post-pandemic, but for now, these guys aren't my first choice for bike-related needs. read more

Great bike shop! The staff is attentive and knowledgeable and work very fast and efficient

This review is specifically for a packing jobs. I shipped my bike through bike flights. Danny's was listed as a "professional" shop that I could pay to pack my bike. I watched bike flights packing video prior to bringing my bike in. I also purchased my bike from another Danny's location. I asked questions. They appeared to know what they were talking about. I received my bike and it was packed with almost no protection. The derailer and rear tire were still on, and the retailer was bursting through the box. The fork wasn't protected and bursting through the box. They only used thin card board around the top tube. No foam wrapping. No bubble protection. It was an absolute joke and a waste of my money. My bike is all carbon and there was no protection. Just a bike in a cardboard bike. In addition, they lost the screws and washers for my water cages, because it was too complicated to just screw then back in the frame. I would never trust this place with my bike. STAY AWAY. I don't know if I received such poor service because I am a woman or because I am black but there is something wrong with this whole situation. read more

We needed to have my son's bike tire repaired. We arrived without an appointment and were thrilled that we could have it fixed right then and there, while we waited! Miller was cheerful, funny and efficient. He had us in and out in less than 20 minutes and for under $30! We have to travel a little further now to get to Danny's but it is well worth the effort! read more

Fixed up my bike for only $18 in under 10 mins. Tightened my brakes for free. Best bike place I've ever been to.

Just brought my Trek in the be tuned up. Hadn't been to the shop in a while. Danny's Cycles now owns/runs it. Had a great exchange with Garth there who helped me out. They adjusted and lubricated my drivetrain. Repaired and adjusted my Deore brakes. The bike is riding perfectly now! (Like a hot, quiet knife through butter.) Excellent work. I was also delighted to see that Danny's carries a more desirable mix of bike brands than the owner before. (Trek, Specialized etc.) This, combined with the fact that they have the sister facility over on Secor Lane behind BJ's makes this shop infinitely more appealing. The Secor Lane shop has a big outdoor area for test riding, unlike the Wolfs Lane storefront. So the options are there. All good! A great plus for Pelham and Pelham Manor! Check them out! read more
