Fantastic bike shop. The owners are super nice, and twice now they've made adjustments for me entirely free of charge, tightening up a loose headset and loosening up a tight coaster brake. After many years of putting off gettting a current day multigear bicycle, I finally took the leap and could not be more satisfied than I am with the shopping process and my purchase. The owner and staff's deep and wide range knowledge of cycling, which bicycles are optimal for a given buyer, and so on, cannot be matched. I had gone to two other nearby and well-known stores in the area (one is a small chain), and this shop by far and away surpassed those two, hands down in every respect. read more

This place embodies "community bike shop". Andrew and his crew are about the nicest staff in town. My family has purchased three bikes and a Thule rack from this shop. The service is excellent, and prices are very fair, even with supply chain problems and being located in a pricey zip code. Today I brought in an electric cargo bike that I didn't buy from them and they had it fixed in no time at a price that was SO fair I thought it couldn't possibly be right. Above all, 10538 understands that a bike shop serves its community in a meaningful way - from a kids first bike, to a family cruiser and all family enjoyment that comes with it. This bike shop was amazing!!! I was just there today and the repair guy Andrew and the bike salesperson Joe (a French woman) were helpful, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly. I brought in my daughter's bike to put a basket on the back and also to take a look to see if she needed to move up a size since she has grown since last year. Andrew didn't try to "upsell" me on more stuff for the bike or push me into buying a new one. I will definitely be buying my next bike from this shop for sure!! Excellent, friendly and knowledgeable service. The staff *talks* to you about bicycling and you can tell they know and love it. I was having a relatively simple but serious and recurring issue: 5 flats this season alone (and it's only June!) I'm a very experienced rider and a hack mechanic but despite my best efforts at meticulously inspecting the tire and changing the tubes myself, it kept happening. Then I decided to get professional help. The mechanic and I spoke, he found a very small piece of metal embedded in the tire. He then showed me how worn the original tire was and recommended I replace it with a more puncture resistant one. Next week: another flat! I replaced the tube again myself and this time found a piece of glass. Then this week: another flat! This time I brought it to them again and they turned it around very quickly. He found another embedded nail in the brand new tire that I had missed, then explained to me in detail exactly how he located it. Everyone in the store has a pleasant attitude and is willing and able to assist. When the time comes to buy another road bike (and whenever the bike shortage eases) 10538 Bicycles will be my first stop. read more

Where to being with this AMAZING business! I called them at 6:30pm knowing they closed at 7 but expressed I was in desperate need of a repair before my triathlon tomorrow morning (sick brag, eh?). I did not even have to ask twice and Joelle said they would stay open for me. When I got there, Andrew was working on another bike that he was going to finish right at 7pm on Friday night. When Andrew could have done a quick tire swap and started his weekend, he insisted on being thorough and going above and beyond to not only make sure my tire was fine but that the rest of my bike was ready for race day. There is something to be said about businesses like this but unfortunately I can not say enough. Joelle and Andrew you are such fantastic people and run an amazing business. If you are anywhere near this shop and need anything relating to cycling wether it be casual or competitive, this is where you MUST go! read more

What a fantastic local shop. Joelle and Andrew make the sales process easy and the customer service is great. We bought a bike for me and my wife over 4th of July weekend and couldn't be happier. They have free tune ups and repairs if you buy the bike through them. We wanted to use the local store for our purchase either way but when you compare their prices vs Target or Amazon you will see that they are very competitive (if not cheaper) and you get the added bonus of future maintenance. Since buying our bikes we have talked to numerous families around town and it seems like everyone who shops there has had the same positive feelings toward the shop and owners. Had all of my bikes serviced for the upcoming season. I am so happy I chose this shop. Everything was done in less than the estimated time and the price was quite reasonable. Customer service is friendly with a clear explanation of work being done and costs. Free pickup and delivery is also a huge plus. Will use for any of my bicycle needs. Also, great to support a local small business like this. There is a small lot in the back with a couple of parking spaces reserved for the shop. read more

Amateur mechanic. I brought my wheel in because I had a broken spoke and a flat. Dude was there all alone on a busy day and told me he couldn't fix it till the end of the day. I said alright cause I was in a pinch and didn't have my own trueing stand available. When I got my wheel back and put it on my bike I saw that it had a severe hop in it and several of the spokes were loose. Now I have to ride back to Brooklyn with an egg shaped wheel. Either lazy work with poor attention to detail or amateur knowledge, either way I'd say try another mechanic if you need something fixed up. 2 stars cause he was a nice guy. read more

I love this new little bike shop. The owners are very friendly. Just today my son and I were out for a bike ride and his chain popped off near the library. We walked it to the bike shop and the guy in the back fixed it in two seconds, even tightened the bolts for us and charged us nothing. Did it with a smile. My son was elated. If anyone is looking to purchase, rent or repair a bike, this is the place to be. The mechanic Andrew is a bike expert and multitasker. Joelle and he are a good team as they serve their customers with a smile each and every day. They are very helpful, accommodating and answer any question one may have about their bike. The layout of the bike shop is customer friendly, while you wait for your repair, they have popcorn and salt water taffy to snack on and a little sitting area. I purchased a bike for my daughter, they did not try and sell me the most expensive bike, they addressed my daughter needs from her stature to asking biking appropriate questions and made a recommendation from there. They also spent much time with us installing out bike rack so we would be able to do it ourselves, also showing us how to not scratch our car to do it. They told us when to bring it in for a checkup. I cannot say enough positive things about this bike shop. One needs to go and experience it themselves and I can 100% guarantee you will not be disappointed.
