The chef was a rat but damn it was so good. I was served good wine, good food with fancy cheese and desert. Food tasted home made. 10/10.

Ted's doesn't bother with any of that nonsense. Ted's just delivers the goods. I've been going there for years, long enough that the rhythm of the place feels like an old blues song you know by heart. I'm the guy who orders the Denver omelette with salsa on the side. Every single time. And every single time it comes out exactly the way it should: fluffy eggs, just the right hit of peppers and ham, the salsa bright and honest, like someone in the kitchen actually gives a damn. No drama. No surprises. Just competence, the rarest ingredient in the restaurant business. Now let's get one thing straight: I'm no pushover. I'm a hardened chowhound, the kind of guy who's eaten enough questionable meals in enough questionable places to know the difference between real food and the kind of grease-slicked heartbreak they sling at certain fast-food counters. You know the type, where the cook is juggling a cigarette, a spatula, and what appears to be a deep philosophical relationship with his own nostrils while your breakfast slowly becomes a medical event. Ted's is not that place. The chicken club, hold the Thousand Island, thank you very much, is a beautiful, no-nonsense stack of poultry and bread that understands its job. The carne asada burrito comes wrapped like a promise and delivers on it with gusto. And the steak sandwich? That one deserves a small standing ovation. They buy good steaks, real steaks, and cook them the way steaks were meant to be cooked: hot, fast, and with respect. In a world full of culinary pretenders and Instagram food that looks better than it tastes, Ted's is rock solid. The kind of place that doesn't need a story, because the food tells it for them.

Updating my review in response to the managers response:…read more I escalated ALL of these to your staff. I even had to ask for a new cup when I told them the soda machine wasn't working, as they just said sorry and walked away. I showed the person who walked by us the eggs and she said "oh, I'm not sure" and walked away from the table. When our plates were taken away, I told them we had a very poor experience. The person said "one moment", walked away, and we wanted 20 more minutes for someone else to show up, but nobody did.

We had a party of three right about 11 AM and the restaurant was busy but not crazy. We needed a handicap accessible table for my sister and there wasn't one available, but they were so kind and moved things around to accommodate us quickly. This was really appreciated, especially on a busy Mother's Day. The service deserves more stars than five. Everyone we encountered from the host, our server, the food runners, etc. were warm, friendly and genuine. The owner Jacqueline came over to greet us, took our drink orders and checked on us. Our server was phenomenal and he made sure that we had everything we needed and made helpful recommendations. Our coffee and waters were never empty and our food orders came out very quickly. Again, this was a busy Sunday brunch on Mother's Day. I've been here many times because I live around the corner, but it was both of my sister's first time and the food did not disappoint. Everything I've had here is delicious. This time we got the Swedish Pancakes, which is their how special and comes with lingonberry butter, and I highly recommend you get one for the table to share. I got the Huevos Rancheros which came with their really yummy Hash browns. My sister got the California Omelette and said it was delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough! Service and food both are outstanding.

The spicy chicken sandwich was out of this world, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his cheeseburger, not to mention the beer, battered onion rings, which are hard to come by. We even chatted with other customers who are regulars and bragged about the quality breakfasts that Jacks turns out every day

The shrimp omelette is filled with delicious shrimp and topped with a light cream sauce. The waffles are also incredibly light, crispy, and whipped cream scrumptious. The service is quick, friendly and very welcoming. There is outdoor covered seating and plenty of indoor seating as well. I love coming hear with family for brunch. Highly recommend giving it a try!

These are by far the BEST pancakes I've ever had in my entire life. I've ordered here previously and their eggs benedict are to die for as well. Can't wait to bring the rest of my family to try! They're one of the few restaurants that consider that takeout orders just wanna go in and out so they have a separate entrance for pick-up/takeout which is awesome. Everyone appeared to be enjoying their food and the restaurant is cute with indoor and outdoor seating.

We decided to go check them out since we have dined at Molly's Country Kitchen in Laguna Niguel but not the Mollies San Juan. We were lost for a bit and called the restaurant and they sent someone out looking for us in the parking lot. That was so nice of them. Hubby of course, ordered the meat loaf dinner and I went with the chicken marsala (with raisins and mushrooms) as suggested by the server. We also had a cup of soup each. I had the French onion soup. The soup came lukewarm, so I sent it back. It came back out hotter and tasted so much better. My husband had the turkey rice soup and it was delicious (I had a taste of it while waiting for mine to be reheated). Chicken marsala was good, however, the sauce was salty. The breakfast potatoes that came with it was good, as well as the steamed vegetables. My husband liked his meatloaf dinner and the mashed potatoes. He said the gravy was a bit salty but not too bad. Would have been 5-star if the sauce wasn't too salty. Service was good. They have many employees in the restaurant so they checked on us often. I believe it's a family-owned restaurant.
