A Wonderful Breakfast & Exceptional Service! I went to Jack's Woodside Grill in Laguna Niguel with a friend after pickleball, and wow--what a wonderful experience! I ordered the Crab Benedict with hash browns, and it was absolutely delicious. But honestly, what took the experience over the top was the exceptional service. Our waitress, Angel, was incredibly sweet, friendly, and accommodating. We brought our dogs with us, and she was Johnny-on-the-spot, immediately bringing them fresh water and making sure they were comfortable. The entire waitstaff was attentive, constantly checking on us and keeping our coffee filled. Then, to top it all off, Jacqueline, the owner, stopped by our table herself to ask how everything was. That kind of personal attention is becoming increasingly rare, and it really made an impression on us. We also got to try the crêpes with their special berry butter, and OH MY! They were absolutely incredible. That berry butter alone is worth coming back for! Went here for a Sunday brunch and it was great! Very large menu with both breakfast and lunch options. I had the prime rib sandwich and it was solid. The table split a pancake stack which was a great add on for only $2. We went around 10AM and it was crowded. The staff did a great job of running around and handling multiple tables at once. Our first time to this family owned hidden gem. We found this great spot online while looking for a late Saturday lunch. Angel was our server and she was as sweet and helpful as can be. We came on Saturday around 4pm and were seated right away. The bar and a few other tables were occupied. The servers were friendly and helpful. Such a cute little place, they even had live music while we were there. We got the guava cocktail, the dip trio, and a couple of burgers. The cocktail was 10 out of 10. The dip trio was good and came with plenty of chips. The burgers were tasty and cooked the way we asked. Overall a great experience. We have visited a couple times for breakfast and each time we have been impressed. They have some of the best bacon I have ever had, and we love the pancakes, french toast, and Swedish pancakes (their specialty)! The service is always friendly and attentive. First time there after passing it 100s of times. Very welcoming staff. The matriarch of the place gave me a "welcome" crepe with strawberry butter as a "newbie", a real nice touch. Salmon was perfectly cooked and the sauce had a nice, light lemon fragrance. It came with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies and everything was so tasty. Clam chowder had plenty of clams pieces and not just all liquid with a few pieces of potatoes like many other places. Delish! Noelle was awesome. We ended up here because I wanted pancakes at 5 PM. And Jack's delivered, the pancakes are fluffy, light and delicious. Service is great, very attentive and friendly and welcoming. It was such a good visit that we are practically regulars now. The lunch menu and dinner menu have plenty to offer. They make a great turkey club, fresh and tasty. Don't miss the mimosa flight! Perfect for sharing. Comfy booths, clean restrooms, and TVs so you won't miss a game. They also have a full bar now. And they know what they're doing with it. The staff and management is always so nice and helpful if you need a recommendation. The cocktails are great. I was craving a hamburger and this restaurant came up with good reviews so I decided to try it out. I liked the nice atmosphere, the host was super nice and the place was very clean. Here is what let me down a bit, the clam chowder was very bland, I had to add lot's of pepper. I tried the Laguna Burger and it also was not as flavorful as I hoped. It just needed some seasoning and although the fries were super crispy they were also very greasy. The waiter was absolutely awesome and very helpful. Would I go back here again, probably not as it was a bit out of my way and I was not impressed with the food. This is just my opinion and it could have been an off day for the kitchen. I have dined here for dinner, lunch, and now breakfast within a week. They have great quality food. I have enjoyed the prime rib and prime rib sandwich. Today I had a traditional breakfast and coffee. Each time I had attentive and friendly service. The only downside is that it is a small restaurant and they are quite crowded. All those years........How did I miss this place until now? I ordered the BRAT (see picture). It was LOADED with avocado, fresh lettuce, flavorful ripe tomato slices and crispy bacon. The bread was freshly baked and the sandwich was marvelous. My wife had a Garden Omelet, Light and fluffy on the outside and loaded with vegetables on the inside. Literally stuck in my throat, probably because aside from the dry chicken, tortilla, and cabbage... they forgot the pico. The wedge salad dressing tasted like something like plain yogurt. Weird. Fries had no salt. I actually thought the burger my wife ordered was somewhat palatable, although she wanted nothing to do with it after a few bites. Had high hopes for the small family biz and had ok breakfasts here previously, but this sucked. Two stars instead of one because I actually ate some of the burger. To be honest, I feel a little mixed about writing this review because I did get a stomach bug after eating here but service was really good and the food overall is really good and everyone enjoyed their plates so here I am writing this review. They allowed us to split a plate and the only thing that was different that I think might've got me sick was I added the hot sauce which may or may not have gone bad. There was definitely enough food for this brunch and they gave plenty of condiments and options. The Swedish pancakes were also good and plenty enough for my 8 year old. We read the reviews but couldn't get in late morning it was packed! Which was a good sign. We de used to try door dash the order that evening. Unfortunately it was disappointing. I expected the turkey dinner like the photo, but instead I got 3 pieces of dry turkey meat with no Brady or cranberry. Bread was soggy and cold. Fish and chips were okay just cold. Zucchini strips were good. , but no dipping sauce. We will try and eat there to give it a fair shot. I know deliveries aren't always consistent since the food gets cold and missing items. My husband and I were looking to try something different in our area. I've driven by Jack's Woodside Grille a few times, we decided to give it a try. We asked to be seated in the bar area at a high top table. The restaurant has a great vibe inside. I was craving a tuna melt, and I decided on try the crab melt. They give you a generous amount of crab and it was excellent. My husband decided on the ribeye, which he absolutely loved. The staff is amazing, between our waitress and the bartender constantly coming over to check on us, service is top notch. We can't wait to come back again. One of the top brunch spots in Orange County. The restaurant is split between a bar area and the main restaurant and we were seated at a high top in the bar area. Service was fantastic, all of the waitstaff were attentive and incredibly friendly. The staff seemed to be enjoying themselves and greeted their regulars as they came in. Their peerless coffee was good, but not quite worthy of its name. I got the crab omelette which came with hash browns and Swedish pancakes. The omelette was rich with a nice amount of crab. The worst place. I don't understand why it's crowded. I should've read the room. I waited 20 minutes for less than mediocre food.

Roman was our exceptional waiter and sat us down, got our menus and came back quickly to get our drink and food orders. After our drinks arrived he brought us a complimentary plate with 2 Sweedish pancakes with lemon lingenberries. Delicuous!! Then soon all our food arrived. Three of us picked the same Chinese Chicken salad and my cousin got Crab Benedict. Another got Huevos Rancheros. I got three beef tacos and we all loved our meals!!! This place was quite popular and people kept arriving as we sat there. We were brought here by my cousin who lives near by and her elderly mother. My mom is 90 and she loved her food too. I was disappointed to be too late for the turkey dinner, which was sold out, so I ordered fish and chips. The Cole slaw it came with was delicious! The fish (3 pieces!) was cooked well and the coating was nicely crispy. The fries were lightly battered and a generous portion. My daughter ordered the chicken Alfredo, and was surprised to find an abundance of diced raw onion on the sauce. She was able to pick it out as she ate, but we won't order that again. The garlic bread that accompanied the dish was delicious! Jack's features a Taco Tuesday special, a Wine Wednesday when all bottles of wine are 40% off, and Happy Hour every day from 3 to 6 pm, with reduced prices on appetizers and house spirits. Okay. This is my first 5 star rating in a while as I am pretty picky basically about everything. Especially breakfast. We had probably the most satisfying breakfast experience here. The waffle was moist rich in flavor and had a great texture. The banana nut pancakes were amazing. The pancakes actually had bits of bananas in it and tasted like moist banana nut bread. We had a great experience! Interacted with multiple workers and all were friendly. Shoutout to our server Eric R! Also appreciated how a manager walked around to check in on everyone's experience and to thank them for stopping by. Seemed to have a lot of regular diners too! It's with a heavy heart that I reduced my review to 3 stars because the dinner was awful. Both the food and the service were horrible. We had a table full of dirty plates when the servers showed up more food and were absolutely clueless as to where to put the plates. So, we, the CUSTOMERS, cleared the table. The food was bad from the chicken wings to the ribs, everything drowned in a nasty sweet sauce. Perhaps the cook (definitely not a chef), should have dinner at Bad to the Bone BBQ and figure out how to cook ribs. I'm sure the ribs they served me were never on the grill.
