The young woman who was serving as the General Manager was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. She recommended the new Tiramisu French Toast, and I'm so glad she did! It was absolutely delicious! The entire staff was friendly and attentive, the food was excellent, and the restaurant had such a fun, upbeat atmosphere. What stood out to me most, though, was the General Manager. She took the time to make sure guests were enjoying themselves and genuinely seemed to care about the experience people were having in her restaurant. That kind of warmth and hospitality makes a difference. Great food is always a reason to come back, but great people are what make a restaurant memorable. I'll definitely be returning. Im so disappointed! We used to come here all the time and it was always such a great experience. Unfortunately everything has changed, the menu has changed, the food quality has changed, we always get the same thing and it was nothing like before. The only thing that was absolutely awesome were the pancakes! The service was also cool, he was super kind and on top of it, they just need way better descriptions of their sauces. We ordered sauces and would get something that we didn't expect and all sauces are extra! So youre paying for sauces you dont even like. It was pretty slow on that weekday morning so we didn't need to join a waitlist or make a reservation, but it's pretty convenient to check the waitlist digitally if you're en route. My partner and I (and both our dogs unless it's too hot for the lovely shaded patio area) are frequent visitors to Snooze, usually stopping in for breakfast before a household shop at the Costco just down the road. Aside from the obvious plus of being dog-friendly, there's a lot of reasons to like this spot. The bottomless hot coffee or iced tea depending on the day, and the frequent special offers - including free pancake flights and / or BOGO entree deals - when you register a phone number for rewards are noteworthy. The food is also great quality, with lots of healthy (the Garden Harvest Omelette is a favorite) and slightly more calorific (all of the "Bennys") options. Sadly they've at least temporarily lost their best menu item, a Habanero Pork Belly Benny that was so much a default for me that I didn't even need to see a menu before ordering. Hopefully the Bacon Jam famine is short and not recurring. The last great reason to recommend Snooze is the service. Not only are the staff super friendly and professional - especially Cailyn and Joe who are great - but they also work very well as a team during service and it really shows. It's always a pleasure to see restaurants where servers don't just handle their own sections but also help colleagues, as the wait times for food and for drink refills are less and the overall vibe of the place is way more chill. Good culture here, kudos. Expect a wait on the weekends, but weekdays are mostly chill. read more

We had a great recent experience with Snooze catering! Erin Dillon, Local Community Partnerships & Catering Specialist, coordinated everything and made the process seamless. They brought our office staff samples of their breakfast, including breakfast burritos and pancakes, and everything was delicious. The burritos were cut in half, which worked perfectly for grab-and-go in the office, and the pancakes were light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet. They even included coupons for free pancakes and lattes for our staff who plan to visit in person, which was such a nice touch. We had a party of five, and everything about our experience was good until it came time to pay the bill. Unfortunately, the way our waiter handled the situation at the end completely changed our impression of the restaurant. When the check arrived, we immediately felt rushed to pay before we had even had a chance to properly review the bill. We decided to split the check between two credit cards. I did not add a tip to my card, while our friends added a 25% tip to theirs. When our waiter returned, he confronted us about the gratuity and essentially told us that the tip our friends had left was not enough because we had not also tipped on our portion. He continued questioning and pressuring our friends about the tip until I finally had to ask him to leave us alone. What bothered us most was the assumption and the way the situation was handled. Our friends could have made a simple mistake when calculating the tip, or we could have intended to leave additional gratuity in cash. Either way, a server should never confront guests and tell them how much of a tip they believe they deserve. Continuing to pressure and embarrass our group was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Ironically, we had every intention of leaving an additional tip. After the way we were treated, we chose not to. I did ask to speak with the manager, and I want to be clear that she handled the situation extremely well. She was kind, apologetic, and assured us that this was not how they conduct business. I told her at the time that I understood this was not her fault and appreciated how graciously she handled our complaint. It takes a lot for me to complain about restaurant service, but this crossed a line. Unfortunately, one employee's behavior at the very end of an otherwise good experience was enough to ensure that our group will not return. read more

Pancakes are delicious but can be overwhelming if you're not into sweets. My only complaint is with their drinks. Their hot coffee is great but anything iced is watery in this inconveniently small glass pint. Their alcoholic drinks are average tasting. Tastes like premixed alcohol. If you only care about getting a buzz, then it works. Environment is family friendly but it's oddly bright indoors with the sun placement and the ceiling lights. read more

Great food, but the service needs some serious attention If you're going to Snooze on a weekend, the earlier you go, the better. By around 11 a.m., the line gets pretty crazy. That said, the food and drink options are fantastic, and the quality has been consistently great every time we've gone. The pancake flight is delicious, and the hot chocolate tastes like a warm hug -- my kids are huge fans. Unfortunately, the service has been consistently disappointing the past several times we've visited. We're often seated at a wet table. I appreciate that it was wiped down, but it would be nice if someone actually dried it before seating guests. It also usually takes quite a while to even be acknowledged by the server. Once we order, the servers rarely seem to check back on the table, food takes a while to come out, and more often than not, everyone at the table doesn't get their food at the same time. By the end of the meal, it feels like you have to flag someone down just to get the check. Ironically, that's often when the service suddenly becomes much more attentive and friendly -- perhaps because turning the table over is the priority. I really want to love Snooze because the food is genuinely good, the menu has a lot of fun options, and it's conveniently close to us. If my kids weren't such big fans, especially of the pancake flight and hot chocolate, I probably wouldn't keep coming back. But the food keeps us returning. We had to be get one last meal before heading to the airport and this place is my sister's favorite. They open as early as 6:30am for breakfast and lunch. There is decent amount of parking and you can sign up for the waitlist on Yelp since they likely the busiest. I ordered the Protein + Bowl and my daughter ordered the Bravacado (what a clever name!) toast. The bowl had a little kick but was very good. My daughter was happy with her dish and like that her toast was not soggy and held its shape when she ate it. They always ask about allergies and they are willing to accommodate any dietary restrictions. The matcha latte and pineapple upside down dirty soda were tasty. I have loved every Snooze that I have dined at. They just do a good job every time. The menu has a little bit of everything. The special in Eggs Benedict. There are 3 or 4 kinds and they are all good. They have a full bar, which is great if you want that option. The Bloody Marys are 10/10. They make all kinds of coffees. I immediately liked the vibe - it was like a modern twist on an old school diner. There was a nice patio but we sat inside because the patio was full. They even allowed dogs on the patio, which is a plus for me. The server was nice and attentive. My mom ordered soda water and her glass was never empty. I had the classic Corned Beef Hash - the corned beef looked homemade and it came out hot. My mom had the Bacon But Different and it looked and tasted great. A little spicy but sweet. We love, Snooze. The restaurant has a very cool retro vibe. The whole place including the restrooms are clean. We love that they promote love and inclusivity. We brought our little one here for her birthday which was her choice, so of course we happily obliged. I forgot to take a photo of the birthday pancake our server gifted her all by itself. It's kind of at an angle in the picture since one of the kids are in the photo and I cut them out of it. It was a surprise and such a sweet gesture. I love Snooze and the great service staff we've encountered. We will definitely continue to come here for breakfast/brunch and birthdays. Before I forget to mention, I am not a fan of chocolate chip pancakes. I just do not like them. I do however, love the ones at Snooze. We eat the kids' leftover pancakes for dessert when we they can't finish their portion. I don't know what it is about their chocolate chips but my eyes roll at how good it is. We came here for breakfast because my partner and I were watching our favorite Xolo! We wanted an outdoor, pet-friendly spot, and not only was this place recommended by his parents, but it was also very convenient. The only thing that bothered me was sitting by the wall where there's a waste water inlet or grease trap, kind of like where the water goes when cleaning the patio. It looked super dirty, and I was hoping there weren't any mosquitos coming out of it. The restaurant was busy, and only certain spots had shade, so we had no choice but to sit there. It definitely just needs a good scrubbing both inside and out! Extremely good food and a really nice brunch spot in laguna niguel! Place gets busier during the weekend, see came on a Sunday morning and waited about 10-15 min which was not as bad as we thought. We were sat in the corner which we actually like given the busyness of the restraint. We had the skillet and the French toast, super good French toast but the eggs in my skillet were supposing my undercooked. Still seasoned well! Serve was great too!
