Over the past four years, we have spent nearly $5,000 on repairs to our family vehicles at Dan's Auto Clinic. When I first began using their services, I was assured that diagnostic fees would be waived if repairs were authorized and completed. However, in recent visits, I noticed that diagnostic fees were being charged in addition to approved repairs. On top of that, I have experienced verbal quotes that were not honored. For my most recent--and final--repair, I was billed for an additional 0.5 hours beyond the verbal quote I was given over the phone. This additional charge was never authorized and was simply added to my bill. During a recent visit, I asked for a written estimate for maintenance work and was instead given a verbal number. When I insisted on a written estimate, they outright refused. While the quality of their repair work itself has generally been good, their lack of transparency, refusal to provide written estimates, and disregard for honoring their own quotes demonstrate a business practice I find unacceptable. Dan's Auto Clinic may try to present itself as an honest small-town business, but in my experience, their actions show that chasing extra charges matters more to them than maintaining integrity or building long-term customer relationships. read more

Not only do theycharge to much, they took 6 months to do the job with a 3 speed transmission instead a 4 speed. Reverse never worked properly and they tried over and over. I finally got so pissed at them i took the truck home and ate the 1400 trans job because they told me it was out of warranty. I kept taking it back to have them fix it so it ran properly. Your warranty started the day i pulled it out the first time and it ran out before it was running correctly. Figure that out. They scammed me over and over on many vehicles but dont ever take them a transmission. If they didnt know how to do it or could not find the exact trans, then dont do it. I ended up totaling the truck because of the transmission they fucked up. 4,000 loss thanks to dans. They leave parts loose, dont check things are done correctly. 20 plus years of doing business with them and i finally been burned soooo many times that my wife refuses i ever take anything there again. I almost think they do it on purpose because weird things always happen after taking my cars there that have nothing to do what i had fixed. Very few times i was satisfied. The only reason i kept coming back it the girls that help you out. Period. Shes the only reason why i came back. Shes great. read more

service is ok, that's why i put 3 starts would have put 2 but service beats the bad part, really friendly but way too pricey, their try to charge you base on you vehicle and how u look would I recommend? probably not not everyone has lots of money laying around and when I mean too pricey I mean waaay to pricey of u need to go here shop around and believe what im saying. read more

Do not go to this place!! They had my car for 5 weeks. Since it was taking so long, my rental car was only covered for 30 days, so I had to pay for an additional week out of my pocket. When I came to get the car I couldn't be, liege how extremely bad the repairs were!! Initially there was damage to the front and drivers side. All of the hood, bumpers, side door were not aligned properly! The windshield wipers are not working as they were when they got the car. The front side drivers door was scraping when opened. The guards on the wheel well were not attached properly. The paint they used is a different color. In general my car was an absolute mess!!! I took the car with the promise they would fix everything, I took it back for them to make right and it was worse when I picked it up. They had taken a screwdriver or something metal and literally opened the space between the door and the side and bent it out way too much causing a large gap and scratched the finish, did not repair. This place claims they warranty their work but he refused to make it right. Since that time there were only a couple of reviews. Now I see ones that make it sound like he is Mr. Wonderful! I've filed a complaint with the BBB and they have not responded to them either. He only has so much time in which to do so. I do have pictures. If I can, I will post them as well! read more

Price gouging labor prices. My AC needed a recharge and a dye kit. The cost of that is on average 25-50 bucks right? I was charged 54$ for a recharge and a whopping 100$ for labor. WOAH! So my total came to 154$ and some change out the door. Granted my service was reasonably quick and I basically came here for the convenience, I won't be back. I was about to bring a second car in for a new gas pump. I'm not going to bother.. I might be a woman, but I've had the men in my family work on my cars for YEARS and I KNOW when I'm simply being HAD. I think anyone coming here should read previous reviews and listen, they don't lie. Really steep labor costs. Thanks, but no thanks. read more

I had a small exhaust leak. I dropped my car off early morning, waited all day when they finally called it was just to tell me they couldn't get to it. I can't go days without a car so I told them I would pick it up. They charged me $50 for the diagnosis, rip off but whatever, but then I go to get in my newly detailed car and there is a mud outline of the mechanic that sat in my car. Not kidding, full on mud outline. When I complained they sent on s small mud covered man to clean it. Did a half assed job so now I am out $50 , car still needs to get fixed and I get to spend my evening cleaning out the mess they left. They don't care about your time or your property. read more

I was having some on going issues with my vehicle, and two other automotive places either seemed incompetent (One delivered the wrong car to me BEFORE they gave me a quote on the repairs, let alone did any work) or dishonest (One quoted me a price that was a 50% mark up) in handling the problem that I had. These guys are fast, personable, and very friendly. They came in, worked with me on what was there, were expressing concerns as they were, not inflated to fear me into purchasing their service. Hello! Had my car towed into Dan's Auto. It was dead. Towed in late in the afternoon. Talked with Gina. She assured me it would be looked at the very next day. It was. Bad starter. Gina explained that the starter on my car (2008 Honda Accord) was very diffucult to access. The intake manifold (of all things!) Had to be removed to get to the starter from above. Tough job. They charged a fair price and I got the car back late in the afternoon. They were honest, prompt and fair. They have always done right by me. Have also sent my daughter and a few others there for service. I'm a gearhead who normally does all of my own repairs. Every so often because of time or circumstance - I let Dan's do it. My car needed the stabilitrak fixed and a headlight replaced, I paid $1000. They returned it with a completely different side view mirror and never fixed the stabilitrak. They denied the mirror was different claiming it was dirty not tinted. I spoke to both owners, they did nothing. Scam artists! read more

But after taking both of my vehicles to Dan's Auto Clinic several times now, I can genuinely say that these guys are VERY unskilled when it comes to car repairs that a real mechanic should be able to do, and they are scam artists as well.
