In my four and a half years of owning my vehicle, this is the first time I've had such a high level of trust and confidence in an auto shop as I do with Sovel's Auto Service. That is saying a lot because as a woman who doesn't know a lot about automobiles, I have had a low level of trust in most auto mechanics. I know that the dishonest ones see a ton of dollar signs and the ability to do a half-ass job without my knowing so I have to keep coming back to fix unnecessary things. Before coming to Sovel's, I had heard other business owners say good things about them, so they have a good reputation in the area. I have had a routine oil change as well as transmission mount replacements. Pricing is fair and my vehicle has never run so smoothly. Service is friendly and they are straightforward with what needs to be done. I can tell there is no runaround. I took my car in to have the brakes looked at. I dropped it off around 9a, got a diagnosis call an hour later and was able to pick it up at 2p. Very friendly and knowledgeable and they didn't try to sell me more or give me doom and gloom like other auto shops tend to do. Why didn't I consider this place for my auto repair earlier. I am glad I found now. I called in and set up appointment for brake repair. I stopped to drop vehicle. Mentioned about replacements and asked to look if need for brake fluid change as I got recommendation from other place. Gentleman from the shop took a look at the vehicle and gave the estimates and might be there will be need to replace calipers if damaged. Within few hours he called back to let me know that vehicle is ready. No need for caliper change or fluid change. Paid the original amount given in estimate No upselling, honest. I decided to contact Sovel's Auto Service after my 2006 Jeep would stop suddenly when I tried backing out of the garage. I spoke with Brian and he thought it sounded like a brake issue, which was a relief after all my co-workers said it would be the transmission going and I had better start looking for another car. Not something I could afford right now. Brian worked with me to find a time to bring my car in so they could take a look at it. Brian was able to confirm the problem and made my day when he let me know that it was an issue with the brakes (not transmission) and fixed it while I waited, for a very reasonable price. Not going back! Ok so back in the day when I lived around the area this was my go to place for my car and they always did great. Keep that in mind that was back when I was a little highschooler who knew no better I guess. Fast forward about 5 or so years and all of a sudden my car's water pump died mid week on the freeway. I take it here and they fix it promptly and fast but this is where the problem starts. SO they replace my water pump and call me saying they fixed it, for about 3 years or so of owning the car I knew my fan clutch was always iffy because it was always making a lot of noise and likely part of the problem for the water pump failure because the extra vibration caused the water pump to fail. I asked after they called to please replace my fan clutch as well and I got the response along the lines of "the fan clutch seemed fine to us" were I go "oh...uh...okay". Now fast forward to NOW one year and four months later and low and behold my water pump fails AGAIN! Four months after the WARRENTY and why might you ask? Oh that is simple, it is because the fan CLUTCH which was rattling and wobbling still caused extra vibration which in turn caused my water pump to fail again! Oh and here is the kicker, because of the coolant spraying everywhere for god knows how long my alternator has now decided to start malfunctioning so now i'm going to be replacing not only a water pump and a fan clutch but now my alternator as well! I work in HVAC...i'm not a mechanic but god darn it I know when I hear something going faulty and for some guy who doesn't wanna take my car back in to replace another part which SCREWS ME OVER really hits a nerve! Now I am going to replace all this MYSELF which sure will save a lot of money but think about it guys i'm out a car until I get all this fixed meaning no money made from work and to top this all off could of been fixed IF THEY DID WHAT I ASKED IN THE FIRST PLACE! read more

I brought in my 2015 Subaru Outback in for preventive maintenance and neglected to mention a "rattle" that I had been experiencing that I assumed was a muffler issue. When picking up my car, Kraig came out of the garage and mentioned that he had noticed that rattle himself. He looked into it and discovered that a shield had come loose and that he was able to solve the issue with a single bolt. NO CHARGE! I was stunned! The guy on the phone was very patient and pleasant with me as I asked all my silly questions. They were able to get me in early in the morning and my car was fixed 2 hours later. Sovel"s did great work. Took in my 2014 Subaru Forester for 60k maintenance - just recently purchased with 50k miles . They only changed the fluids that needed to be changed , replaced the rear brakes and rotors and found a bad wheel bearing. They recommended that I take the wheel bearing to the Subaru dealer as it was still under warranty . I did just that and the Subaru dealer did the repair under warranty at no charge. My bill at sovels was 330. The dealer and another independent wanted $300 to 400 just for the 60k service not counting the rear brakes or wheel bearing repair. I would have spent well over 1000 going anywhere else. read more

I recently had my breaks fixed and they randomly would squeak so I brought it in two months later on very late notice. Even though they couldn't hear the squeak, they went ahead and replaced and upgraded my break pads for free! This is the best auto service I had in a while!! I had a burning smell coming from the vents when I put my heat on for a few weeks and so I decided to take in to sovels. They called back within a couple hours and told me what was going on. Although I had to take it into my dealer for further service, they did some work on it AT NO CHARGE!! I was amazed! I just called the shop to see if I could have a tail light replaced. A small plastic piece was broken and I can't get the light out myself so I wanted Sovels to do it. The man on the phone told me I had to go to a body shop to have that done. I expressed disbelief that I had to go to a body shop to have a tail light replaced. He then told me that they couldn't get the part and I told him I could get the part. Then he said OK whatever but you'll have to drop the car off and we're not promising anything. Then I asked to speak to a mechanic and he said he was a mechanic and hung up on me.
