They were more than fair on price, kept me informed along the way and could not have been more honest and up front with me.

I want to start off by saying that am very dissatisfied with the service that I received earlier…read morethis week at this place. I called them on Monday and Brent answered the phone. I let him know that I wanted to bring my car in and that it had a few issues. He asked me about the issues but was very short with me and only allowed me to tell him 1 of the 3 issues I had. I was also told I would have to make an appointment and drop it off. I don't see where it says appointments only on the site and that you can't wait for your car. Next day I took my car in and told him I was inquiring about 3 issues( my car stalling, heat issue, and just a check to make sure the car was safe for driving (that things look tight and good) I literally waited there from 8am till 1:30 200$ later Just to be told they couldn't find out why my car stalls. ( My car stalled today so I still have the issue). Which was disappointing so then I asked about the other two issues only to find that all the time my car stayed back there the did not check the heat issue, nor lift it just to take a look if everything looked good. He handed me back my keys and told me that I would have to come a different day to get the other issues looked at. Meaning more diagnostics and more $. My car stalled on the way home as well. I thought I could still rely on this place because they seemed reasonable the first time I did business with them and they had a motto that they cared about struggling women/ households. But 200$ was too much to pay just to be told nothing is wrong then my car stalling (still is) on the way home with 4 children in the car as well depend on it. Will not be returning and will be taking my business elsewhere.

Updated 07/06/2025…read more THIS IS LIE In addition if you look at the other reviews that Joseph leaves everyone else you will clearly see a review from another shop regarding the control arms. Updated: 09/27/2024 Based upon Brett's reply, The one with the selective hearing is Brett. He did not seem to care about what i had to say. Seeking a second opinion, another mechanic told me if he's a master mechanic he knew right well it was only a dry bushing causing the problem since their are only few things that it could be based on the symptoms. He told me that Brett was trying to upsell me. I don't know if that's the case or not. I hope not. For the record: I brought my 2007 Honda to Brett's garage for a diagnostic. After Brett had replaced the control arms on both sides and replaced right calipar I continued to experience a pulling to the right, even while in drive, but even sitting still as I would touch the brake the steering wheel would pull to the right. I told Brett about this on a number of occasions even took a drive with him, but he insisted that it was a $1500 job to fix it. The other mechanic in the shop also took it for a drive and said the steering was goofy. As you will learn below, it ended up being a lack of grease in a bushing. I asked Brett if my car was safe and he said he would drive it to California. I told Brett that I was very concerned on a number of occasions about the safety of the vehicle and I did not feel safe But he insisted that the problem was only going to be fixed for $1500.00. After picking up my car from his auto clinic and taking a 2 Hour drive with my wife returning home, there was a metal on metal loud noise coming from the front of the vehicle. When I contacted Brett by text, I told him that they must've missed something and he told me to bring it by and he would take a look at it. My text: "I tried to send you a video of this loud noise that the right side wheel is making when I turn the steering wheel after getting back from a two hour ride. It's a metal to metal sound. How did you guys miss this?" Brett: "There was no noise at all from the right side of the vehicle while it was here. stop back by and I will check it out for you." When I showed up. He became enraged and told me in the future to find another shop. He told me to give him my keys and he would put it on the lift and take a look at. While the grinding noise was still very present metal on metal and upon a deeper inspection, they found that there was a need for grease in a bushing. I watched as they move the wheel back-and-forth, and the sound went away as they added the grease to a bushing. I tried to cool Brett down tried to talk nicely to him told him I would like to continue to give him my business. I didn't want to go to another shop and he told me that he was busy after shaking my hand. He told me to take my business somewhere else find another shop. Brett appears to be a nice person, but there's a nasty side to him if you rub him the wrong way. I tried to talk to him before I left and he said I'm busy right now. I guess he forgot about all the money I spent there. Beware of these proud machanics that feel challanged when you question their 40 years of expertise and continue to tell you over and over they are a "master machanic" and brag about awards "best business in town. Nevermind all the bragging, JUST SHOW ME. After all, I am paying you. After a costly process of elimination and trial and error and new spark plugs and replacing the valve cover gasket my 2007 Honda is running more smoothly. After replacing both the control arms and adding grease to a bushing, the pulling on the steering wheel when stepping on the brake has stopped and the horrible metal on metal grinding has altogether ceased. I'm so glad it wasn't something more expensive like ball joints, or a 1500.00 fix as he insisted. I don't know how a master mechanic of 40 years could tell me that I needed something that was going to cost 1500.00 when all it needed was some grease added to a bushing. Taking his advice, even if i had not been trespassed i would not return. Upon his demand, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Thank you Brett.

He wrote that as he was "helping" me get to the site. This is false! This is my review I wrote on MR. MUFFLER Google review... 9/17: Got my car repaired there this weekend. I shall see how it holds up. Scary after looking at some of these reviews and knowing they enter a review for you. I'll see in a few days, weeks, months how things hold up. But I see from reviews they do a lot of price gouging. I'll call around to see the cost for my repair to see if I got hoodwinked. Update 9/28: I am at a different shop right now about my car. They said they would have charged $800 less than Mr. MUFFLER. And Mr MUFFLER spray painted the exhaust pipe under my car as well as left weld stuff under the car. I have pictures. They have high ratings cause they enter their own reviews. They left the cap to my headlight on the transmission. They left the break cap off but why. They didn't need to do ANYTHING with my break liquid. Call BBB, sate of mi attorneys general office, corporate office and the news. Gary said they spray painted the pipes so they don't rust. Ummmm.

Of course, they have all the other chops, too. Here's the skinny: -EXTREMELY knowledgable on foreign collectibles AND everyday drivers. -Can do everything the BMW dealer can, at a fraction of the price per hour -Real human beings to interact with regarding scheduling, pricing, and service. They love cars and they love making owners happy. No fancy shmancy cappuccino / bagel station to recover costs on. (ahem, BMW DEALERS) -They work on an assortment of collectible "weekend" cars so there's always some eye candy to check out while you wait. -Pricing can't be beat -Extremely honest. They always show you exactly what needed to be done, and are good at coaching you through any decisions needed. -They will work to get you in and out at a time convenient for you. Dave was our primary, and only contact, and he certainly ran the shop and specifically the front office. Results were typically very good. For myself, I recommended Automotive Techniques several times. After not requiring their services for a few years, I returned last year with my son's car. To my surprise, Dave was not there. In fact, no one was at the front desk. I had to find someone in the back room where 2-3 folks were watching TV. I asked, "Is Dave here?". The response was, "Dave is gone" (with a chuckle). Turns out, the gentlemen who provided an update was the owner - someone I had not met for the 15 years. "Finding" someone in the shop became the standard, as no one sat at the front desk. Moreover, it later seemed there were limited customers coming in. Which, I later did not find surprising at all. This was start of an amazingly frustrating experience which was supposed to start with a simple diagnosis of a power failure problem. Front desk was piled with paper and in disarray. Looking back to the rear office - same. Before Dave left, they switched to a new system to run the shop service operations. Because the previous customer data was not moved to the new system, there were 2 systems to look up past service for history and a new system for new service. It was clear the owner did not really know how to operate either system. He could not answer any of my questions and got frustrated quickly, waving off any inquiries. He told me to "come back" the following week to book an appointment because the entire shop was leaving for a conference. (And it was clear he did not have a handle on how to book appointments). A bad decision on my part, I did come back hoping the service would still be positive despite initial impression. Got the appointment while the owner tried to fumble through past maintenance records to determine anything else needed or problem history. After 2 days, they could not diagnose the problem I brought the vehicle in for. To me, there were not trying at all. They found another problem that they choose to focus on because it was obvious and easily fixable. The springs. I actually had to offer to drive the vehicle to try and replicate the problem because they gave up. I authorized the springs. Took 2 days to receive them for some reason. Car has now been in the shop 4 days - nothing done. Then, they could not find the wheel lock in the afternoon (they never bothered to look in advance or ask for it). I tell them it is in 1 or 2 places. They cannot find it. I come to the shop. I find it almost immediately. In the glove box like I told them. Because of the delays trying to find the wheel lock, they cannot complete the work until next day. In the end, I made probably 4 trips to the shop. Spent all kinds of time supporting the efforts on my time. They did not address the primary problem. Vehicle was in the shop for 5 days plus a weekend. Received the full bill of course for the springs and attempting to diagnose the power failure at $175/hour, no discount for all the troubles. Not even an apology or acknowledgement. Certainly an apathetic attitude throughout. Might be a technical genius when it come to fixing car, but certainly could use some assistance in running a service operations and being attentive to customer service. Needless to say, found another provider and very (very) happy with them.

I called the next day at 3 PM to see if my car was ready and they said about 10 minutes. I picked it up and went home. I noticed that the tire rotation had not been done when the woman behind the counter lied to me. The reason why I know this is because I removed the air cap from the passengers rear tire when I got home. I noticed the same tire was in the rear, and I called and notified them. They told me that sometimes they go side to side instead of front to back. I told him that neither had not been in touched. Also, none of my fluids were topped off as my add fluid for the window light was still on. In the morning the next day, I went to Belle tire and paying them to do the rotation and check my fluids during the inspection. They showed me my cabin and air filter which were filthy and should've been pointed out if Tuffy really did an inspection.
