He spent a lot of time working the issue, and when it came back a few weeks later, he blamed us for still having a clogged kitchen sink! Sure when we called for a follow-up, it was during a holiday week and sure he was out of town. And yes, he said, he had lots of experience. So, we called one of the larger companies who correctly diagnosed the issue, the same day, and haven't had a problem now in 1 1/2 years! Dan restored my faith in humanity!!! There are actually good people out there! I called Dan at 10am for a backed up pipe.... Water was literally flooding my downstairs shower. Drano and liquid plumber did not work so I called Dan. He met me at my house 2 hours after my call.... It was great. He found the block, which was dried up fecal matter....He snaked all the way to my septic and back. He also checked my septic filter and showed me how to clean it! Recently had an issue where my wife dumped a 'side of beef' down the garbage disposal, which had no problem chewing it up and spitting it down the drain, but that's where the issue started. It ended up clogging the drain pipe about 8' down. I know it was 8' because I went to Home Depot on Saturday to buy a pipe snake, and then proceeded to spend about 4 hours trying to snake the drain myself. Needless to say, I had a very shitty situation. We had recently moved into our new home, and apparently the previous owner had left the cap off of the main sewer line as a sort of passive floor-drain for the frequent flooding we experience here in New England basements. Thanks to the creative piping of yesteryear, a massive clog occurred in our sewage line and flooded the basement with a fetid stew of waste and awfulness. After buying a 30' rooter snake at Lowe's and thinking I had cleaned out the main sewer line from my house to the street,4 days later,blocked again. Another 3 hr. session and pulling out more baby wipes and bandaging that my wife uses for her medical issues I didn't feel confident that I was totally good to go and winter is here. I called my plumber, George Day of Day Plumbing & Heating in Torrington, best in the business in my opinion. He told me that he didn't have the equipment to do the job and referred me to Dan.
