This morning I called requesting help with our aging mini-split a/c system and was told they would no longer provide service to us as a result of an incident that occurred last Fall when driving past the owner's house. The workers they hired were installing electrical conduit and a box truck in front of us stopped before starting again. My wife and I, with our two dogs in the car, began to proceed. I assumed it was safe to proceed. The truck suddenly stopped and the reverse lights came on, so I blew my horn, knowing they could not see us behind them. Suddenly, the two workers startied screaming at me, cursing and calling me names and verbally abusing me for proceeding. My wife and I were very shaken up by this and called the local police to report this violent behavior. I am extremely upset as well as disappointed that this company would turn their back on me as a customer. The only reason I am giving them two stars is that we have always been satisfied with their work. Knowing that this is how they operate, I would never even want to use them again. They actually should get 0 stars for treating a customer in such a way. EDIT: to be clear, I never said the workers who verbally abused us were employees of Bradway Plumbing. But it is Bradway Plumbing who we just discovered will no longer do work for us. There is no misplaced blame, other than Robert now trying to blame me. I guess he thinks we should just accept being verbally assaulted and cursed at by the people he hired to work on his house? Maybe he should have spoken to the people he hired about the incident. Anyway, I am now fully aware of the type of business owner Robert Bradway is and will happily move on.

It turns out a lot of pipes froze that night, because no one had any techs available. The best I could get from mist was a promise to have someone call me in the morning. Josh from Holmes, though, called me back immediately. He helped me stop the water that was flowing out of the burst valve, made sure I had some emergency heat, then scheduled me for first thing in the morning after he finished with his next client. He fixed the problem and even made some improvements to make my system a bit more resilient going forward. He was there all day, so I was expecting an astronomical bill since I had called in an emergency basis. I was pleasantly surprised to see the price was very reasonable. I had actually made that exact repair myself 5 years earlier (Josh said it was a quality issue with the valve and not my handiwork that lead to this failure, and I choose to believe him), so I know the going rate for the valves he used, and I know what the labor was like to install it. They charged a fair markup for the parts and a competitive hourly rate for the labor. And of course, Josh did the work a heck of a lot faster than I did back in 2021. I'm very pleased with the service and the quality of work. I'll definitely be calling Holmes the next time I need any HVAC work done.

In 2013 they installed my geothermal HVAC, retrofitting my 100 year old farmhouse without ripping it apart when they installed ductwork. They even incorporated my propane furnace (at my request) to use that blower system and provide backup heat in severe cold. When the furnace blower failed earlier this year, they replaced it temporarily with a spare furnace of theirs, and now have installed the long term solution, a hydronic air handler with electric coil for back up on severe cold. So now my heat is efficiently provided just with electricity, and since I generate my own electric with photovoltaic, I now live in a near net zero home. No more propane bill, and I've paid in advance for a lifetime of electrify, so no more electric bills! And a home that is evenly heated and comfortable all the time. If you are considering geothermal, this is the company to contact. DO NOT go to a plumber! Aztech has real engineers who calculate heat loads after testing how tight the house is and design the system accordingly, not seat of the pants like your plumber.

I had this company's "service" in two separate homes. He is not only rude, he is less than honest in his dealing with people. He moved the tank to in front of the gate to my backyard, so I couldn't even use it, and when I told him not to put gas in it because I wanted it moved, he took the tank away. He gave me a snotty little face and wave as he left. Then his wife called me and told me I had $900 on account with them. I told her he took the tank, but he brought it back and put it in the same place, so I told him to move it or not put gas in it. I never got my $900 worth of gas. At first when I called about it, they said, "No, it was only $300 (something)." But that changed to nothing by the next time I called. He is rude and dishonest.
