Hit or miss, just really depends on who is cooking. When it's on, it's as good as any burger you'll ever eat. When it's not, it is very average. I order mine with extra cheese every time, and I only actually receive that extra cheese about half of the time. That's frustrating, and that extra cost adds up, especially when you consider that I've been coming here for 20+ years. The bacon-cheese tots are awesome, fries are great, and the toppings bar are what keep me coming, but it is frustrating to have to hope that the right guy is cooking, and more importantly that he'll remember your extra items that you've paid for. Could easily be 5 stars, but until there is any kind of quality control or attention to detail, it's about 3.5 at best, consistently anyways. read more

This is a great, casual family-run place to grab a delicious onion burger. I know they have other things on their menu, but that's all I've ever gotten here. Bomb! Just be prepared to smell like onions the entire day. Very simple menu, burgers and fries and you get to top your own burger unlike most places. The wait was about 15 mins but my group went during the lunch rush hour so that is expected. Overall good spot for a cheap burger. read more

The burger was overpriced and tasted terrible!! It was super greasy without any taste. Not only did the burger taste bad, I found a hair in my fries. For $17, I would expect a decent burger and fries, unfortunately for Dan, his burgers need an upgrade!!! read more

This dinner has an Old timey feel in a newer looking stripe mall. Walking in to this place you feel like you are being transported back in time. All the table, chairs, and booths look like they are from a different era. There are signs, toys, decorations, and machines all from the soda brand Coke. I found this part to be very cool. However, the old feel it had was not the restored old feeling, but rather the greasy old feeling. The food itself was very average for an onion burger. The taste was good, but the burger tasted like it was a frozen hamburger. The tater tots were also good. I got them loaded with cheese and bacon. The cheese part was very disappointing because it was just a piece of American cheese melted on top and not very well melted at that. Overall the price was fair from what I have had for other similar places. I won't be back here, because I have other more favorite onion burger places in Oklahoma. read more

I have eaten at Dan's several times over the last few years. The time before last was meh, but this time it was a no. So we walk in. It's about 6:15. There is one gentleman eating, but no other customers. My gf, with her friendly nature, says "hi, how ya doing" to the guy behind the counter. He replies that he'll be better once he leaves; then proceeds to tell us that's he's been there all day long, blah, blah, blah. I get it. You hate your job. I totally understand and relate. The thing I *don't* get, however, is why in the eff would you tell your customer?? Anyway. So we each order a 1/4 pound onion burger (gets with dirty cheese - mine without). We also ordered a small fry to share. Our order is ready fairly quickly seeing as we are the only ones there now. We get our burgers and dress them at the condiment bar. We sit at our table and begin to eat. The fries are HOT! Duh, right? They needed salt, (and I NEVER salt anything). They were greasy, but still a'ight. The burgers? The burgers were bland. None. I was glad I slathered on the mustard and ketchup because there was zero taste. Dinner was like 3 1/2 hours ago, and I'm *still* disappointed. This place is just awesome! It's a fifties style cafe with huge old fashioned Oklahoma onion burgers.

Get here early for lunch. This place gets crazy. When you get back from Dan's, everyone at work knows that you've been there cos you smell like beef and onions. Juicy burger and perfectly caramelized onions. Always get bacon, of course ;) read more

Oh what's cool about this place is all the Coca-Cola memorabilia, everywhere you look in this hole in the wall type of stripmall restaurant has Coca-Cola memorabilia everywhere it's pretty neat actually coke Machines from 20s 30s 40s 50s also if we start about the hamburgers these are old style hamburgers fried onions grilled hamburger meat balls as your hamburger Patty fried to perfection. And the french fries make sure you order small because they give you a lot of fresh cut from potato french fries. All the fixings are in the center of the store, you know lettuce tomatoes pickles mayo mustard if you know what I mean. And they have the little ice from the ice machine that gives it that special drink flavor to your soda. They do need to upgrade their seating arrangement they are getting pretty worn down it is a old restaurant. read more

The burgers aren't thick but I think that's what makes them Dans burgers. I got a 1/4 big Dan with cheese and onions along with a large fry. The burger came out very quick and was made perfect. The fries are a little on the greasy side but have a very good crispy taste. I will definitely come back again. read more

I was on the south side of town and asked a guy at the store I was at, where to get a good burger. He suggested of course S&B's and The Garage. He said if you just want a pretty plan burger Dan's Ol Time Burgers was a good place. So I go there but they close early on Saturdays. So I'm back now on a Friday. They have some nice size onion burgers that you dress yourself how you like. Fresh cut fries and of course fountain soda pops. All set up in a oldies motif decor. I got a 1/3 pounder and a small fry and reg drink for about $12 bucks. I ate all the fries, refilled the drank, and ate half the burger, and I'm good! I don't really eat a lot, but I haven't eaten all day, and it 5 o'clock. It was a very juicy burger. I'd say on par with Tucker's, which makes good burgers. But unlike Tucker's the onions are not over cooked. So if you found Tucker's to have burnt onions, Dan's may be your place. read more

The burger was ok but dry and no seasoning. The bacon cheese tots were $4.25 and took quite awhile longer because they messed up my order. I was expecting a tray full like the fries instead I got a tray with less than 12 tots with a slice of sandwich cheese and some bacon crumbled on top. Sad to say but you can get more food for less than the $12 I paid for a burger, cheese tots, and a drink across the street at Sonic. I wont be going back or recommending them to anyone. read more
