Never again. I wouldn't even give it one star. We have been several times, but hadn't been in a while. We ordered a 12" Philly cheese Steak and the #21. There was one other customer in the shop. The owner started preparing our food(cooking the steak) when one of his everyday customers came in for his usual grilled steak salad. Apparently this long time customer was pretty important because our order took longer to prepare than it has ever taken before. This grilled steak customer got his order before us. He then focused on our order which he BURNED!!!!. Too busy sucking up to a longtime customer. So we paid $ 30.00 for a burned Philly. It was take out and the end of his day so impossible to return( we live - 20miles away. What a colossal waste of our hard earned money. I have recommended before but never again! Lots of thin pieces of steak with salami, peppers, onions n cheese melted on a toasted bun....OMG I want another one just thinking about it. Any of the Philly sandwiches or grilled chicken are good. I used to come here all the time, years ago when I worked in Midwest City. We decided that we would swing by today to try it again. I called ahead to make sure that they would be open and that we could dine in. The lady who answered the phone was very friendly and let me know that they were open for dine in. When we arrived, we walked up to the counter and the lady asks us what we want to order in the most lazy/short manner. She clearly didn't want to be working today. She acted like it was all she could do to even write our order down. It was extremely uninviting and uncomfortable. Definitely a bad vibe. My husband and I order our burgers and she tried to end the ordering process and check us out, as if we were done ordering, even though my son standing next to us hadn't even placed his order yet. That was annoying. I'm not sure what the rush was, since she still had to be there to work and nobody else was in line. Her attitude was very off-putting. We get our food and it was pretty much as expected. Burgers are frozen patties, but the Burger was still good. Fries are frozen from a bag, but they were still OK (my husband said his were freezer burned). They don't have the good ranch, but it was still OK in a pinch. My husband got the Chicken bacon ranch sandwich and he said it was gross. He said it had way too much of the bad ranch on it. I had a piece of sweet potato pie. It was the smallest piece of pie I have ever seen. It was also frozen like a popsicle. The lady was aware and mentioned that it was still frozen when she brought it out. You would think that's something that you'd mention to people before they pay. Overall it wasn't completely terrible. Would I drive from Arcadia to eat here again? Probably not. Maybe each time I went they were just having a rough day. I have noticed they tend to be understaffed on occasion. Friends and colleagues have reported similar experiences as well, while still enjoying the food. I'd recommend getting food to-go and limiting interactions here. Also call ahead because sometimes they are closed when they advertise as being open. First I just want to say the people that run this mom and pop sub shop are awsome! I usually get the philly steak sandwich, minus the green peppers and add mushrooms, fries and a drink. I've also had the chicken philly sub and the "wicked" chicken. All are great! Just be careful with the wicked chicken.... it's got a bite to it!! Update..... Go Thursday's for the pork boss. I waited to write a review until I had a chance to come back a second time. This place is right next to my neighborhood, but I'm rarely home during the day to stop by. The staff here really know what they're doing when it comes to selling high-quality sandwiches quickly. On my most recent visit, I tried the meatball sub. My goodness that thing was delicious! I love that their bread is wide enough that you're not struggling to keep all the sauce and meatballs inside while you eat your way through the thing. Great little sandwich joint! My husband and I stopped by here for lunch. We got the steak bomb combo with fries and the ultimate sub. The bread was toasted to perfection, and the meat well seasoned. I really liked my ultimate sub. It came with onions, a mustard sauce and pickles. I normally don't like mustard, and particularly can't stand pickles. But for some reason, this particular mix was delicious. The thinly slicked pickles were pickled quite well. They were crunchy with a slight sourness. The mustard sauce was amazing. I could eat this every day. The steak bomb unfortunately was a bit dry, although the meat itself was seasoned well. I will definitely come back next time to try the Philly cheeseteak. The service was impeccable. I wouldn't expect any less from a local business. The owner was very kind and attentive. The place filled up quickly during lunch too. Everyone at work told me how great they are. I went for lunch got order to go the Steak sandwich was ok but the fries looked like they were fried in old old grease. They were soggy but burnt looking bad taste. My feeling is if they can serve something that bad I won't be back.
