The line outside the door is indicative of the good vibes waiting inside. Dante's brings out the world's best DJ's and puts their skills on wax to the test. The craft cocktails flow all night as the music moves the crowd. There's no official dance floor but you get it in where you fit in and just dance wherever you are. I had the pleasure of having Sarah as my bartender and she was super attentive and kept my glass full with water and my drink of choice all night. Also love the door guys, David was nice enough to wait on my Uber with me at the end of the night. Dante's is a true cultural gem and I hope it continues to be successful for years to come. We came here hoping for some 90s hip-hop, but they were playing jazz/funk the night we showed up...and it was GREAT. We had a short wait on line because we got there early. Due to the limited space, groups of people are slowly let in. Now, when I say limited space, I mean LIMITED space. Grab your drinks and try and find a small pocket of space if you can. We had glasses of Cabernet. I don't remember what kind it was, but I actually really enjoyed it. Service was just okay, but about what you'd expect. I ended up having a blast after finding a small space by the corner to sip on wine and dance/vibe with my friends. I'd def. come back, especially for 90s hip-hop. read more

This is a vinyl only bar. OMG! It was so dope! The DJ was spinning records and mixing songs. The whole groove was on point. We went on a not so hype night, but it was still lit. We really went to see Rich Medina however, he wasn't playing that night. Had a few drinks and enjoyed the music. The hostess at the front door was really nice. She allowed me and my friend in with flip-flops (big thanks). Definitely check it out if you are in the area! It came back to me that front door staff and a waiter were rude and dismissive to her. Which is interesting because whenever I send my well known celebrity clients, they get treated entirely differently. 5 stars for the vibes in Dante's HiFi! This lil listening bar has great drinks and like I said, vibes. After hearing about it for a while, I finally got to visit with friends while they were in town. When you enter, you feel like you're in NYC where I hear listening bars are all the rage. Before coming, we saw that you had the option to make a reservation but took our chances. Turns out the reservation was only to be able to reserve a table to sit so we went in with no problem. There were two DJs spinning records and they displayed the vinyl sleeve of each song that was playing as they changed songs. We were able to find seats at the bar to just relax and enjoy the night + each other's company. The drinks were so good and the interior was beautiful. Dark and dim providing the intimate feel along with the illusion of high ceilings. I can't wait to come back another night, but maybe this time with a reservation. read more

Dante's is a fun, cool listening bar that's perfect for enjoying both the ambiance and the music. You can tell the space was thoughtfully designed by true music lovers--everything is carefully curated to enhance the sound and create a rich, immersive experience. The old vinyl records on the walls really add to that "we obviously love music" vibe. I'd recommend checking their schedule on Instagram to see who the DJ is and what kind of music they'll be playing, so you know it's the right vibe for you. It's also a good idea to purchase a ticket ahead of time to guarantee yourself a seat for at least an hour and a half. The best part? The money you spend on the reservation goes towards your tab--win-win. Without a ticket, you'll have to stand, as ticket holders get preferred seating. The staff here is always friendly and helpful, which adds to the overall positive experience. Just keep in mind that Dante's only serves cocktails and wine--don't come hungry! That said, I've had a few negative encounters with the security outside, who can be rude and seem out of place. It's unfortunate, because it definitely stands in contrast to the otherwise welcoming vibe of Dante's. Several of my friends and colleagues have mentioned the same issue. read more

I wasn't impressed. In my opinion, they allow way too many people in at once. It was hard to get to the bathroom, to dance (you can't sway from side to side), or even order a drink. I feel as if they could make a lot more money in liquor sales if they would allow for their patrons to HAVE SPACE TO GET TO THE BAR. Couldn't really assess the décor of the area since I couldn't see the furniture on the floor or what the bar looked like--only the ceiling (dark tones with a touch of speakeasy?) Great cocktail bar, with a unique concept. As you walk in the very narrow alley with local Record shop vendors selling their vinyls from crates, you are outside Dante's hifi. IMO this is one of the bes Vinyl bars in Miami, book a resy beforehand to get a table since it's very crowded during the weekends. Service was excellent, the drink menu is solid, and the music slaps. It's a great intro to Wynwood if you've never been out in Miami, and want to avoid the tourists on south beach. read more

They are strict about not sitting on the couches us you do not have a reservation. And proper sitting also....no sitting on arm rests allowed. The cocktails are good and price point is average for wynwood. There is an outdoor terrace space where will be some sort of food pop up tent. Music was great and lighting was dimly lit (just what'd you expect for a speakeasy). There was a $10 cover for everyone when we got there, which was fine. Bathrooms are located outside the bar, 15-20 feet away. There were a mix of tables & chairs + standing room. We tried so many drinks, one of them being called the Skinny Love. It seems they update their menu all the time because I tried finding the menu online to name the drinks we ordered but they aren't on there. Regardless, drinks were great so odds are, you can't go wrong with whatever you order. It's in like the Wynwood so you can easily walk over to another bar and keep the good times going. All of the cocktails were delicious, but just a warning the you can definitely taste a strong whisky in the umeshu. Possibly my favorite spot that has opened in Wynwood after COVID-19. Hi-Fi is the high quality of reproduction sound. Listening lounges like this are very popular in Japan. Dante's is a beautiful spot. They offer a quality sound system, well made cocktails, and unique DJ's. It's a very intimate place too, they also try to maintain how crowded it's get in there - you'll most likely need a reservation if you don't know someone. Keep in mind, it's also a bit hard to find, you'll need to walk through an alley way. The building is a solid charcoal color (no branding anywhere). If you're into vinyl records, good music, and a dark but sexy ambience - it's the perfect place for you. read more

I've come to Dante's a few times since my first review and I have to say some things are changing, and not in the best way. I usually try to come early as I know it can get quite busy later on. I came by earlier on a Friday night this past weekend with friends who had never visited Dante's. The door woman was not the nicest and not clear about what was reserved or not. I told her we just wanted to sit at the bar. She let us in. When we sit at the bar, we chose a corner with 2 empty seats despite it was 3 of us. But, at least 2 of us could sit. There was incense that was lit up and it smelled like a strong baby powder. It was a really unpleasant smell. Despite it not being very busy, the customer service was lacking terribly. We were finally given menus after a long wait, then a different person took our order. I always order the same drink, with gin, yogurt - Freddie Freeloader, and it was not the best this time. Then a different bartender starts shoving things from the bar next to us and almost knocked down my water and drink. I had to look at her and catch my cups before a spill. She could have politely communicated she needed to move things. It felt like we were in her way, when we are literally sitting at the bar consuming drinks we paid for. They never refilled the water or asked if we wanted another drink. It still has its charm with the decor, vinyl playing, mix matched vintage cups. read more

Dante's HiFi - The self proclaimed listening lounge tucked away in a rustic building in the heart of Wynwood. 50 seats, a killer sound system, and a cocktail menu that's heavy on the whisky. Dante's generally delivers on its lofty ambitions, but not without a few record skips. Read on to find out more... Atmosphere - A group of friends and I came here on a Friday night at opening. First up: the sound system. It's absolutely killer. I instantly recognized the Klipsch Cornwalls just by their sound alone. They've got Klipsch Spatial fills and subwoofers as well. The sound has the warm timbre you'd expect to match the space. It sounds fantastic and I could have sat there for hours listening to the tunes the DJ was putting out. It was a quiet spot when we got there at 7PM opening. The music flowed effortlessly from jazz to alt rock and soul, later transforming into disco and house music later in the night. The space itself is dark, intimate, and genuinely encourages you to focus on the music. The venue did get packed and became much more "Miami" later on in the night -- it was difficult to hear conversations and focus on the music as the night went on. Drinks - You come here for whisky based drinks and nothing else. The whisky-based cocktails were all fantastic and fairly priced. The highballs are the highlight of the menu -- perfectly carbonated Topo Chico with the classic Suntory pour. The mish-mash of high ball glasses that looked like they were plucked off of a shelf at Home Goods detracted from the more serious aesthetic. Service - Service was great while we were enjoying our drinks. Our waitress was extremely attentive, personable, and had great insight into each of the drinks we asked about. The main issue was when it came time to pay the bill. She failed to notify us that there was 20% gratuity already included. You'll get prompted to tip even after already tipping 20%. That seemed a bit shady. While I'm not a fan of included-tips, it's becoming a standard so we let it go. However, when our waitress noticed that we didn't tip on top of the already included 20%, her mood became visibly sour and she paid no more attention to us. That was a really negative interaction that blemished an otherwise amazing night at Dante's Hi-Fi. All in all, Dante's carefully crafted ambience offers some welcome respite in face of Miami's pounding club music, bottle service, and form over function bar scene. Killer speakeasy spot for DJ based listening room vibe music - great drinks, music and service. Located in the Wynwood art district it fits right in. Access in back of the building through alley filled with art. Great Vibes ! They are closed Mon&Tues. I visited on a Sunday and reggae music pumped through the loud speakers all night. Best to get a reservation where you will be charged $25/person which will be applied to your tab. I particularly enjoyed the seasonal cocktail drinks which were $14 a pop. Definitely the spot to chill out in a lounge environment and listen to great music ! read more

We finally got a resi & came in for a couple of drinks before a late dinner. Space is tight, so definitely recommend a reservation. We were seated in a table and our order was taken from there, our service staff was attentive, kudos to her because the place was packed! The drinks were strong & tasteful. Don't recommend coming with a big group & also be aware that your reservation only secures your spot/table for 2 hours, so you may be asked kindly to move. Awesome lounge with a speakeasy vibe that caters to audiophiles. At Dantes don't try to ask the Dj to play a song u wanna hear.. in fact thats a dont do. Each night has a predetermined theme that the guest Dj decides on.. and when you get there you are taken on an acoustic journey with said Dj as your guide. The place caters to music and dj purists ... so you won't see laptops with Playlists queued up... u will see actually records and hear curated sound selections as you sip on a craft cocktail while taking in the sonics. Some pro tips b4 u go... -the space can be hard to find.. I was instantly intrigued by the concept of this bar, said to be inspired by intimate vinyl listening rooms in Japan. Although not serious audiophiles ourselves, this place caught attention immediately when I came across it on Instagram. Nestled on the outskirts of the colorful Wynwood neighborhood, the bar in person was just as impressive as the pictures. I highly recommend sitting at the bar, getting the opportunity to interact directly with your mixologists and getting front row seats to the house DJ spinning records. My only complaint is the space felt a little claustrophobic with how small and dark it is inside. Also there are no bathrooms inside the building itself - you have to use a shared public bathroom around the corner. The cocktail menu was small but interesting, and the bartenders are more than willing to create something bespoke. Reservations highly recommended on weekends. read more

We showed up right at opening time, as we had not made a reservation for a table, and we were seated at the bar immediately. For those who do not make a reservation, the bar is open on a first come first serve basis. In my opinion, sitting at the bar provides the best, most intimate experience. The bartenders are so friendly and interactive, and the selection of vinyl records allowed us to immerse ourselves into the music. The dim lighting, wall of vinyls, and Japanese-inspired architecture create the perfect date night environment! We enjoyed the yuzu hiball and the garden hiball, which were both delicious, but the yuzu is just so unique and refreshing! Highly recommend Dante's for a pre- or post-dinner drink (or two!). I don't see an option for six stars, so we'll settle for five. This is the best bar I've hit in my 20+ trips to Miami, to the point where I entered Dante's four separate times over a 72-hour period during a recent trip. The DJs are always going to be on point, with decks that are centrally located in the middle of the bar and a sound system that rivals some of the clubs I hit in Ibiza, DC and Chicago this year. The coverage at this place is sensational; despite standing on one end of the bar on two occasions, it felt like every server was working the entire bar to ensure customers got drinks fast, not just their "section", or area. And every person I interacted with was really friendly...as someone who comes to Miami often, I can tell you that "friendly" is not often on the dance card. I'm honestly shocked that the lines weren't longer or reservations weren't tougher...then again, I'm hoping that people (particularly tourists) don't find this place, but I have a feeling they already have. Came here for a drink after an event and it's the perfect spot for a digestif. The vibe is so authentic and eclectic - wall to wall records, the cash are is behind the bar and theyre spinning vinyl and making drinks in tandem. It's a vibe. I have been here many times, it's always packed, but then again it's so small that if there's 50 people in there it's at capacity. Tables or barstools are hard to come by but vibes are not. There's a lineup of DJs this week and next for art Basel and this one was killing it. I had a "little sipper" which is such a fun mini drink menu where it's a slight bit cheaper and the drink is more like a double mixed shot size than a full cocktail, but all the same amount of fun! I had the disco ball (the one i wanted wasn't available) and it has some ingredients i had never even heard of (a liqueur called chartreuse, apparently almost $100 a bottle normally) A little reminiscent of licorice so not my go-to but it went down!
