This was the best experience that we have ever had in buying a car. Hazem help us through the process and got the best deal possible for us. Jane Martin was an excellent salesperson. She was knowledgeable, helpful, and answered my questions. She went out of her way to give me a video of the car because I was coming a very long distance to pick up the car. She even shot video of the underneath of the vehicle, when asked. Jane was helpful and friendly throughout the process. I knew what I wanted and Danville Toyota had the exact car I was looking for, so it was an easy transaction. This dealership told me I needed a rear light replacement when I had an oil change before driving home across the country. They said it wasn't a bulb, the entire assembly needed to be replaced at over $100. Of course I agreed to the replacement. When I got home the light was not working so I went to my local Toyota dealership and they told me the light assembly was the original and Danville Toyota did not do the replacement. I had my receipt and Toyota has a one year warranty, so they replaced it in Oregon. This Danville place is a scam. They contacted me after my original Yelp post and said call us so we can make it right. I needed proof and called my dealership in Oregon. Danville was able to delete the records of the service from both dealerships and had my Yelp review removed. They are crooks. Do not trust this corrupt business! Here is my original review that Danville Toyota had removed. A few years ago I went to Danville Toyota for an oil change and they told me a rear light assembly needed to be replaced. They charged me for it and I paid Virginia state tax on the parts and labor and I waited a few more hours. I wanted everything taken care of because I was driving home to Oregon (where there's no state sales tax) I got to Oregon and the light they "replaced" and charged for was out. I went to my local Toyota service with my receipt and when they replaced it, they told me the light assembly was the original and Danville never did the work for which I paid. This was not a bulb replacement but the entire assembly that costs well over $100. People, don't go here. They think nothing of lying and ripping you off. Do not trust this dealership. I was traveling through the area yesterday and had an emergency light come on. Fortunately for me, I had just passed a billboard alerting me that Danville Toyota wasn't far away. When I got to the service department, I told Jacob the Service Advisor I was traveling through the area when the problem occurred. He immediately got me in for service, and Austin the mechanic took over to diagnose and resolve problem. While I was waiting, no less than half a dozen different staff offered me snacks or beverages. And in no time at all, they had me back on the road again. This is THE BEST service center I've ever visited! We called the dealership about a 2018 ford escape for $16,000 they said its here in good shape told us to come test drive it but since we live an hour and a half away we waited for the next morning to drive out and test drive it. once we got there the salesman pulled out a different Ford escape and proceeded to try to sell us a $30,000 vehicle when he knew our budget was $16,000 wasted 3 hours of our time for a bait and switch i will never buy a car from here. read more

This place is an absolute JOKE. The management is garbage, all except for Eli and the red headed manager(cant remember his name.) I had issues with my tags not being transferred over properly, resulting in myself paying for my property taxes and tags 6 months early. This was the dealerships fault, they had no solution to my problem... which would have been fine, BUT the general manager Lewis Hitchens was belittling and degrading me through out our whole conversation. I wished these phone calls were recorded because I could bet everything I own he would not longer have a job. He told me he wasn't sure if I knew how adulting works but everyone pays property taxes and that he doesn't control that. Continued by telling me that my 500 dollar property tax was nothing because HE PAYS WELL OVER 1000. I tried telling him this wasn't about him and what he paid this was about the dealership messing up and costing me to pay property taxes twice in one year. He was absolutely demeaning through out the whole conversation. I asked him who was above him that I could speak with about how he was treating me and he told me the manager, transferred me to himself and hung up.. I tried calling back numerous times only to have him pick up the line and hang out. If I would have known I would have been treated this way I would have never done business with this establishment. People often wonder why so many people go out of town to shop, purchase vehicles or just to eat out. Well this week I got another affirmation as to why people go out of town and do not support certain businesses in Danville. I said many, many years ago I would never buy anything else from Danville Toyota, not because of Toyota's but because of the Business itself. I had my own experience that made me feel that way. And after all these years a good 25 or more and my son Peyton McCullough was in a car accident last weekend that totaled his car. I took a vacation day on Wednesday and took him to Greensboro to pick up his personal belongings from his wrecked car and then we went car shopping. He had his heart set on a Toyota Tacoma so we found ourself at (you guessed it) Danville Toyota. The salesperson was nice enough. Came out and greeted us. Peyton told her how much he wanted his payments to be. I told her that he had just recently graduated from college and the police academy and was a Deputy Sheriff in Pittsylvania County. We test drove the truck and went inside to start the paperwork. Peyton really wanted to get this vehicle in his own name as his other car was in my name and he had only had a personal loan of which I had also co-signed. I asked if they had any incentives and was told the only one was a $500.00 rebate. We said okay and they started the application. The girl telling us all along that he could get this vehicle for what he wanted to pay a month. So she comes back after a while and says that he needs a co-signer. I told her I would co-sign but he really wanted it in his own name and had already been pre-approved for a vehicle in Durham, NC. She comes back in another bit and says that his payments are going to be over $100.00 more a month than what he wanted to pay. She then offered him to test drive a used Tacoma and that she could get his payments less than $400.00 a month on this particular vehicle. So we go and test drive this vehicle. Peyton liked this truck and was excited and we came back to Danville Toyota thinking he would be driving away with that truck. NOT, the saleperson met us back at her little desk and said I'm sorry and not sure what is going on but the bank won't approve the used vehicle. Mind you the truck in Durham is a used vehicle as well in which he had already been pre-approved, just in his name. So I looked at Peyton and said you have options, let's go. We had already been there over 4 hours. So yesterday morning in talking with a co-worker she said I'm pretty sure Toyota offers recent college graduates special financing. I started looking and sure enough this is not something that is offered by a dealership but by Toyota. If you are a college graduate in the past two years you qualify for 1.9% financing through Toyota Credit and get a rebate of $750.00 and can even defer your first payment for 90 days if needed. I sent the link to Peyton along with a link to Cox Toyota in Burlington, NC. He talked to a salesperson at Cox,. was pre-approved for a 2017 4 Door Tacoma with payments over $160.00 less a month than what Danville Toyota wanted with a co-signer. What should have been a very exciting adventure for a young man purchasing his first vehicle on his own left him feeling dejected and defeated. Thankfully last night he had the experience that he should have had here in Danville, his hometown, a hometown that he serves to protect. Cox Toyota not only treated him with respect and did everything they said they would before he drove over to Burlington but their warranty on a new vehicle is lifetime on the engine and powertrain and Danville Toyota was only for 10 years. I have owned a Toyota and know they are very good vehicles and as I was laying in bed yesterday morning and remembered the experience that I had with Danville Toyota so many years ago I knew exactly why I had said I would never do business with them again. And I stand true to those words again. Danville Toyota can get on TV and advertise all they want to about being so good to work with and they treat you right and come see Nick Bello but I can promise you I won't enter their doors again. read more

Had an appointment at 9 AM this morning was told it would take 2 1/2 hours on a recall part, We already waited 3 weeks for the part to come in, We dropped the truck off at 850 am, Killed time in Danville as we live in Roxboro NC, Went back at 1:00, Truck was still parked same spot as when we left it 4 hours earlier nothing touched , excuse was there was a vehicle in front of us. Well why wasnt we told that when we got there this morning. I went for an oil change on my Toyota Camry (05/18/2016) and their cost (for only an oil change) was $63.40. I feel like that is very over priced, even for a dealership. I've had this Camry for two years and until now I had gotten my oil changes done at Nelson's Ford and Nelson's Toyota in Martinsville, but since I live in Danville I thought I would give Danville Toyota a try this time. The costs for an oil change at those other dealerships was $47 dollars and change, so why is Danville Toyota almost $20 higher? Also, I had to wait about 2 hours (just for the oil change) and yes, I did have an appointment. Other issues I see there are: they have never had same day appointments when I have needed them in the past, and when I call I always get put on long holds while waiting for someone from the service department to answer. The only reason I gave two stars is due to the (mostly) friendly staff, and the convenient location, but I will not be returning to Danville Toyota. P.S.: Like I said before; I bought my Camry two years ago, and I bought it at Nelson's in Martinsville because when I went to Danville Toyota back then they were not willing to work with me and get me the payment plan I needed. P.S.S. I have never missed a payment and I love my Toyota Camry. Okay here we go again, and before I begin,, if anyone is considering buying a used car from Danville Toyota, please consider going to your local crack dealer,, trust me you'll be better off in the long run,, I only give one star because the staff are friendly. However the car they sold me is by far the worst car I have ever driven!!! I had that AC fixed on August 21st which the salesman covered,, like I said before he was a very nice guy, but on August 23rd I had to take a trip to Durham and when I stopped on the way the car barely started when I went to crank it back up. It has gotten worse and now barely starts,, and I bought it in April, and yes it was used, but it is also a Honda which from what I have always seen are supposed to be great cars,, so I suppose the one lemon Honda happens to be the one I am now stuck paying for the next 5 years!!! I work late hours, get off of work at midnight,, and let me tell you it is a terrible feeling to get off of work at that hour and then have to worry about whether or not my car that I pay nearly $400/month for (car and insurance) is even going to crank. I am a single mother that works very hard for the little bit of money I earn and now I am stuck paying for an undependable money pit of a car thanks to this!! Also, the rear passenger tire has always leaked air, the sensor light came on about a week after getting the car, I have replaced the tire with a brand new one, which also now leaks air, I am being told that the rim may be bent in which case it was sold to me that way as well. I have had some rough cars in my time, but this one beats all, now I believe I know why they worked so hard to get me in the car. I bought from a dealership because I needed to fix my credit and so I would have something dependable and now I am stuck with something so undependable that I am tempted to just give it back and go file for bankruptcy. I do everything like I am supposed to, I have gotten the oil changed etc like I am supposed to in order to keep it running but it seems that every time I turn around there is another issue. I should have just gotten the car I had fixed because at least I wouldn't be stuck with the payments and full coverage insurance,, and Jen H. is very right,, their oil change price is outrageous,, especially considering that I now honestly believe that they tore up something else when they fixed the AC,, especially since they were rude about it (the service department) 2 days after taking it in it starts with this problem of not wanting to crank!! It is a 2008 Honda for God sakes,, there is really no other excuse for all the issues I am having other than I got a lemon. Maybe the new cars are great,, I'm sure they actually give warranties with the new ones,, unlike the 3 month warranty I got with mine. I now feel like a complete idiot for getting roped into this lemon. Thanks to this I will never ever trust another dealership,, maybe it's because I'm a woman and know very little about cars,, and I was stupid enough to tell them that,, well I know the one I ended up with is a total piece of crap, and I will be sure to let everyone that I speak with on my job know about all this,, and that's a lot of people because I work at the busiest place in Danville and it's part of my job to talk to everyone that walks in the door. read more
