My wife and I have been to A Great Day Spa several times. In my opinion, the massages -- either foot massages or regular massages -- are terrific. For my wife it's definitely good enough to keep coming back for more. I'll elaborate on the massage quality. I can't speak for the male massage therapist; I haven't had a massage from him yet. But the woman is very responsive -- asks to make sure she's not applying too much pressure (she never is... always just about right for me, steady, firm pressure). The music is also very relaxing, and the whole experience generally leaves me in a state of blissful tranquility. I'd love to give the place 4.5 stars. The only reason I take off any stars is the lack of aesthetic polish... it's kind of a diamond-in-the-rough type of place. But do visit! They're a local business, they're really good at what they do, and I hope they stay in business a good long time. read more

Stephanie picked up when I called and was able to schedule me in the same day despite working alone and having a few appointments before me back-to-back-to-back that cut through her lunch break. My back pain was severe, and unlike other massages I've had, I was actually able to leave there with no immediate pain. All other places there is usually still some pain, but after Stephanie I felt nothing at all! She was able to spot my problem area without me saying anything; and then she listened to my explanation, so she could understand what happened and get a better picture of what really needed to be worked on. I'm not sure if it's her degrees on the wall or just whatever special techniques and knowledge she possesses, but she worked a miracle on me! it took me 10+ years for me to find someone this good went in with upper and lower back muscle tightness. Difficult to turn head to look in blind spot. the masseuse uses multiple techniques 1) bone in forearm for midback. The bone exerts wide pressure on larger areas 2) palm of hand for lower back 3) elbow, focused pressure lean on elbow to loosen tight back, upper neck muscles 4) finger knuckles for muscles on each side of spine Stomach massage. Nobody does this. Learned from master in Italy. Seems healthy for the internal organs/gets the blood circulating. Not sure if this may be good for appetite suppression or not. Need someone else to do this; can't self-massage. read more

Stephanie is absolutely amazing! Friendly, knowledgable, skilled, and a true healer! My boyfriend and I have had a couples massage and also individual trigger point massages but never a foot massage but I imagine that is amazing as well. My boyfriend is in law enforcement, I'm a hair stylist and we both are gym addicts so stress, tension, muscle inflammation and wear-n-tear are all obstacles of ours. Stephanie can literally pin point exactly where our pain is and works it out with different techniques. I like medium pressure, so as soon as I mentioned that she adjusted her pressure and made my session both relaxing relieving. She is consistent and SO hard working. I noticed some people mentioned the decor as a negative but for me, cleanliness is the most important as far as the interior is concerned, and it is definitely clean. The second thing people have complained about is the fact that there is some conversations going on during a couples massage and that seems to be because Stephanie is very concerned about the customer's experience so she guides the other masseuse at times - letting them know the areas of concern for the customer. Also, she does have to step out if the phone keeps ringing but that's because she is often there alone (with her kids watching the front) and doesn't want the phone ringing off the hook or customers not being accommodated. I can accept and understand this because I'm in the industry of customer service so she has to do what she has to do to keep her business strong! I can keep going, but I won't because my overall opinion is that this place is a rare gem! read more

We have been coming here for quite some time and everything was great. Management has changed since they opened. We have had both types of massages...the foot massage and the regular massage. The regular massage was OK. Not like a massage from a Spa. The foot massages are what keep us coming back and the price. The charge $20 for a one hour foot massage which I think is really affordable! The foot massage is really worth the price. They are all nice and respectful there. The reason to why I only give four stars is the past couple of times we have gone there they are either talking within each other or the phone rings and they answer it right there kind of annoying because you should feel like you are relaxing. I can't describe in words how happy I am!!! I originally came in due to neck and back pain. I was having trouble just walking and driving for just a few minutes then started pain. I had tried physical therapy with no luck. Also I had tried acupuncture years ago, so I thought I would try again, but this time with Stephanie. After my first appointment I already felt significant improvement. After a few treatments I feel almost back to normal and am able to do my day-to-day activities comfortably. That's just a small part of why I give 5 stars. Stephanie is incredibly kind, and easy to talk to. I felt comfortable with her immediately. Stephanie's unethical business practices ruined my husband's massage I gave him for his birthday. I paid $25 for a foot massage and a $5 tip using my visa. I did not notice that Stephanie only wrote the gift certificate for $25. When my husband's massage was over she asked him for a tip. He told her I had already paid for it, but she argued with him, so he left. She called him to ask if he was coming back to pay the tip. I spoke to her on the phone and explained that I had paid the tip already, but continued to deny it and argue with me. I even checked my visa and found the $30 charge. I have had 100+ massages in my life and Stephanie, the owner, is the most gifted and talented massage therapist I have ever been to. She knows area of my pain before I ever tell her anything. Their prices are great for the quality you get. Tips are very important in the service industry and her prices allow for generous tips. I have mixed feelings regarding my experience here. Let me start by saying that I was having spasms in my shoulders and was looking for any place that was open late on Sunday...which led me here. With that said, they certainly got the kinks out. This is NOT a place where you go for a relaxing massage experience. It was rough, jerky, I had 2 massage therapists who switched halfway through, and twice and employee came into my room and had a conversation with my therapist. I was not happy about that, but beggars can't be choosers. So, I needed something more along the lines of deep tissue, I didn't specifically request that, but it's what I got and I was grateful for it. They did some stretching of my shoulders and legs in a very aggressive manner. At one point she jerked my shoulder across my body and I thought it was going to dislocate. At no time did anyone ask if I had any injuries or issues they should be aware of. I get massages regularly (all different types) and this was a pretty unprofessional experience in my opinion. This is not the place for me...but may be for you. The price is good, but it's quite honestly a little scary in there. read more

Let me start by saying that I have never written a review about anything! Have been here twice, first w/ Ella and today with Joe. I typically go for medium pressure, Swedish massage, but Joe's technique was excellent. He's very strong, so I was hesitant at first, but I didn't realize how much I needed it till he was about 1/2 way through my back...now I feel amazing! i went to this spa recently and found that new ownership had taken over since my last visit or several months ago. My overall experience was very disappointing. Here are reasons why: 1. they asked me to wait for 10 minutes (minor issue) 1a. I was asked to pay the $50 before the massage would start (hmmm) 2. the massage itself was just OK but... 3. The whole body massage consisted of all back areas and no turning over. 4. He made a lot of weird noises, grunting and breathing like he was struggling to do the work. 5. the hot towel used to clean off oils went cold and he continued to apply it. 6. and the end, when I came out, I tipped $7 which was decent considering the service I got... and they said no, I had to tip $10 "as required" (I was stunned). Terrible experience! I thought I would give this place a try being that it had good reviews. This morning I called for a couples massage appointment. The lady who answered was very short with me, not welcoming at all. She said we could come in at 5 today, I asked who our appts were with & she responded with "just come in." So again, I asked. She responded with "the same people as last time!" I told her I was a new customer & this was my first time calling. I would of thought that may of changed her attitude....BUT it definitely did not. I noticed that Stephanie received great reviews on YELP, so I requested her. I was told she was available & my husband & I could come in at 5 today. I didn't feel very confident about this appt after I hung up the call. The lady didn't even ask for my name or phone number. Five a clock comes & we walk into Great Day Spa, the lady at the front immediately says "Stephanie no want to come in". Let me mention that this place looked sketchy, and there was 2 men in there that looked extremely uncomfortable & nervous. Back to the lady at the front desk...we basically were told our appts got cancelled. Just like that, no apologies no anything other than Stephanie didn't want to come in. The lady pretty much just stared at us with this blank look on her face. Now, if she would of asked for my phone number earlier when I made the appt., she could of called to advise of the cancellation. Not sure if she even would of though. They were able to accommodate me and my husband right away and were very friendly. The place was clean, although I swear it had a touch of the porno vibe. The technical massage part met my expectations as it was $20. The negative side was that Stephanie would constantly stop the massage to answer the phone, greet guests, and she talked to the other therapist almost throughout the hour. It was really distracting and I felt like I hardly got the entire time due to all of the interruptions. I would consider returning, but I don't know that it would be my first choice. read more
