I cannot recommend Dr. Ally enough for dry needling! Before finding her, I was driving all the way to Berkeley for treatment because I couldn't find someone local I truly trusted. Discovering Dr. Ally has truly been a blessing. Dry needling isn't widely understood, but it has been life-changing for me. Since starting treatments with her 2-3 times a week, I've experienced significant improvement in my muscle pain, pain I've carried has finally been released. The results have honestly exceeded my expectations. Dr. Ally is incredibly personable and makes you feel immediately comfortable. She genuinely listens to your needs and adjusts treatment accordingly. You can tell she truly cares about her patients and wants them to improve. In addition to dry needling, I've also experienced both traditional acupuncture and cupping at the clinic. Both were great complementary treatments. I do wish they offered fire cupping, but I understand that building codes don't allow it, and they still provide excellent alternatives. The impact has been so positive that now my husband and son both see her as well. My husband has psoriatic arthritis, and after just two visits he already felt noticeable improvement in his hips and shoulders which is huge for him. I also want to mention Megan, the owner. When I asked about possibly doing strictly dry needling in hour-long blocks, she personally reached out to me. She was open, willing to listen, and is even looking into making changes to the treatments they offer to better meet patient needs. If that isn't incredible customer service and patient care, I don't know what is. The entire team is wonderful at tailoring treatment to each patient. The front desk staff has also been fantastic helping iron out insurance details, answering questions, and making the process smooth and stress-free. Overall, such a positive experience. The clinic atmosphere is inviting, clean, and welcoming. Dry needling may not be for everyone, but in my experience, the benefits absolutely outweigh any hesitation. My choice was surgery on my spine for back pain or try acupuncture. Ok. What did I have to lose? Acupuncture. I tried physical therapy which was a waste of time. I have No regrets. In one appointment I felt it took the edge off. After 3 appointments my pain was nearly gone. It was a miracle. There is no pressure to sign up for a minimum number of appointments. You go when you want to. No high pressure. It's easy to book appointments to accommodate your schedule. Every acupuncturist is totally capable. I've seen almost all of them. I came here for 8 times, spent over $1000, but the blood work and ultrasound results showed that the acupuncture didn't work for me at all. I had to do a laparoscopy, which was a pretty big surgery done in a real hospital by a real doctor, and it did help a lot. As a paid customer, I think I have every right to give an unsatisfied review to this acupuncture when I believe I wasted my time and money here. While the owner of this business seems to have a very hard time to accept a 1 star review, they reported me and got my review removed. For the first time, this business accused that I was not their customer and didn't have any first hand experience. They explained that they can't find my Yelp name in their patients list. While this is funny because obviously Yelp is not necessarily a 100% real name verified platform and I don't have to show my ID when I post a review. So the second time I posted the payment proof and included more details about the treatment here, after this the business owner DM me and offered free treatment, perhaps trying to change my mind, I said no (in a polite way), that's the end of our conversation. But my second review got removed too. I don't understand why. Is a 1 star review against any rules? Or is "the business doesn't like it" some kind of a new rule? After numerous attempts to convince my wife to get an acupuncture for her neck pain, she finally agreed to give it a try. After searching and comparing reviews, she chose this place because of their high ratings and pleasant experiences shared here on this app. She had a consultation appointment on Saturday, 08/23 at 12:30pm. I waited for her in the car. At 12:52pm she was done. She was "consulted" for 12 minutes. She shared that the person who "assisted" her was more concerned that the receptionist hadn't arrived with her lunch. My partner felt dismissed; that it was a complete waste of time. The person told my partner that the receptionist was going to call her with pricing details. They never did. My partner felt that the person never cared to address her concerns and simply said that it was normal to feel stressed. I mean, that's why she was there, right? I'll spare you the other details. I'm not sure how this place has high ratings. She never felt welcomed. In fact, she approached my car crying and feeling like she was a burden to that person. Unlike my partner, who didn't want to write a negative review, I'm different; and that's why I'm sharing her experience so that the owner can read this piece. We'll be looking elsewhere. I found this place on functional health website and reached out to them. This review is specifically for Yun Hee Hong. I rarely leave a review but I felt I needed to due to the great care I've been receiving. I decided to go with Revive as this clinic specializes in Fertility Acupuncture. After months long research and previously trying other acupuncture places, I decided to give this place a shot due to the high reviews and distance to my home. Right off the bat, I was paired with Yun Hee Hong. Of course, being who I am and having the need to check everything, I immediately did research on who she was and realized she has a lot of great reviews. I felt good going with her. During our first initial appointment, Yun Hee took time to thoroughly and diligently asked me about about my medical history: from my AMH levels, to my Estradiol levels, progesterone, my diet, my physical health, etc. She asked many questions to be able to appropriately cater my treatments to my needs. She was very detailed oriented and answered any and all questions I had (which was a LOT). When it came to the actual acupuncture treatment, she asked me for my consent and approval before she started any process: such as electroacupuncture, light therapy, etc. She explained why she was doing what she was doing so I would understand the process. I felt very comfortable with her. After many years of infertility and many bad medical experiences, I make it a requirement to know everything that's being done to me and why. She automatically volunteered the information and was very patient with me. Not only this, but she has an amazing memory and make it a point to remember what we discussed the previous session (I see her once a week). This shows she truly cares about me as a patient. The process was painless and I've fallen asleep during every session (I've had 4 so far). I am in a very high stress job so each session is a much needed break from the high strung environment. Even though my insurance doesn't cover acupuncture, I still purchased the 10 pack and am taking every herbs she's recommended (you save money with the 10 pack, so it comes out to be about $80 per session). I have to pay for everything out of pocket but she's worth it. And for those that says this clinic is expensive, I suggest you check the other clinics that specializes in fertility. Most are more expensive than this. Because I have to pay for everything out of pocket (which is expensive for us considering we also have to pay for IVF but this is not Revive's fault), I hope they have more deals coming up so I can take advantage of them! Kayoko is amazing! I've always felt very at ease and relaxed visiting Kayoko even though the thought of needles frightens me. My first acupuncture appointment was relaxing the needles ended up feeling like a small pinch and was something I could handle, I ended up sleeping for the remainder of the appointment. They're very accommodating if you feel cold they have various heat lamps to make sure your toes stay warm in the process. I heard about Revive Acupuncture because of their specialty with fertility and cycle related concerns. My cycle was regulated after attending sessions here and i've heard of other individuals having really great experiences with being able to get pregnant here, one week I was there 4 women had great pregnancy news to share! My insurance luckily covered Revive Acupuncture however Revive was very proactive in that they reached out to my insurance prior to my first visit to confirm my coverage and costs. I also paired my appointments with chinese herbal medicine that Kayoko recommended. There was also a nutrition plan (but unfortunately the foodie in me struggled to follow it). At the end of my sessions I felt like my last appointment with Kayoko was like saying goodbye to a dear friend. Good: The accupuncturist is good. I went for 4 sessions and felt better for a stiff neck and migraine headaches. The place is clean and comfortable. Bad: The experience that was not pleasant was dealing with billing. I was NOT told that their establishment was out of network for my insurance, they offered to check for me proactively. I was in a lot of pain and couldn't take meds being pregnant so took up the 1st appointment they offered. When I brought this up with the office manager about it,she said she always mentions if the customer is out of network. When I showed her our text conversation(which showed that she failed to mention)she deferred me to the owner. This is where it got disappointing. The owner was defensive and not apologetic about the mistake made about giving wrong information. She cited fine print in contract and put the onus on me solely. If you do offer a service as courtesy (checking for insurance is a courtesy apparently) then at least give the right information. Owner offered discount for some of the products they sell after a lot of discussion of poor customer service and communication. I could've saved hundreds of dollars if I had gone to in network. Overall good treatment but be extra cautious about the billing aspect. read more
