Shrimp stir fry noodle with soft rice noodle

We gave Dao Tien another try when my middle daughter came into town and had a taste for pho. We tried the shrimp rice paper rolls again as well as the grilled chicken rice paper rolls which were so good! My daughter had the shrimp noodle soup and my husband had the lemongrass shrimp stir-fry. I had the grilled chicken rice platter that my other daughter tried last time. That chicken is just too good. Our waitress was very friendly and provided great service. Service was fast and efficient. We will definitely keep this place in rotation!

Have been meaning to try this spot since they opened. I'm so glad I finally stopped in. The decor is cozy and intimate, Ordered the chicken noodle soup and chicken pot stickers (pan fried). Everything was delicious! The soup is light and fresh. There's enough for me to make two or three meals! And because I was doing a take out, I got a brief tutorial from the server on how to put the soup together to heat up at home, which I appreciated. (Double bowl with broth on the bottom and noodles and chicken on top. The jalapeno, lime wedge and fresh basil were in a separate container to add once soup is reheated) . The pot stickers are huge and the dipping sauce is the perfect accompaniment. I will definitely go back!

I always wanted to try Vietnamese food . Just sticking my toe in , I wanted to try simple dishes to start me off. Located in a small shopping center next to my nail shop I decided to pop in . Amy was my server and she was very welcoming and friendly. Gave me information on the rewards programs and how to earn points toward discounts. Indoor dining, carry out and online ordering is available and call in option . Clean and clear of clutter. Well lit area. Restroom is basic and clean . I ordered Dao Tein Wings which I thought were spicy but that was just by name . They were overpriced and just ok at $11 . Crab Rangoon were crisp and fluffy. Nothing original! Overpriced as well. $8. Portion size did not fit the price in my opinion. I opted for carry out but tipped anyway due to Amy genuine smile and warm welcome when I entered. I'm gonna play it by ear and see if I will frequent again and try a different dish . To be continued....

My husband and I came here today wanting some pho to warm us up in this freezing weather and, wow, we came to the right place! Everything we had was delicious and quality. The woman waiting on us (I'm assuming the owner) is very proud and passionate about the food and it shows! The shrimp pho was soooo delicious, with just a hint of spice. And plenty of shrimp! We also got potstickers and a chicken ban mi to share. Prices were so reasonable and the food was so so delicious we can't wait to go back.

I've only been here once, but the owner Diane was a sweetheart and took the time to explain the menu and recommend items we may like. The food was delicious and although we had takeout, the dining area was very clean and decorated nicely. Definitely returning. Florissant gem!

Get ready to be treated like family! Order the rare beef pho and you will not be disappointed. My son loves the fried rice. This is one of our fav local places.

The ambience is nice with some somewhat upbeat music playing and really clean table spaces. Special detail is paid to even the arrangement of the sauces, silverware, napkins, etc. in the baskets of the table. Very good attention to detail. The bahn mi dac biet was fantastic with good grilled meat and a nice schmear of pate. The dac biet rice platter was a good combination of meats with a nice ground pork, mushroom, and bean thread noodle loaf in the middle. The beef soup (one of the two choices) that was served with it was also fantastic-- makes me excited to try their pho next time.

Food is awesome. We ordered special grilled pork rice plate, it comes with a small bowl of broth, which are all excellent. We also ordered grilled pork spring rolls and wonton noodle soup. They are all very delicious. We've been to a lot of Vietnamese restaurants around the country, none has come close to Dao Tien Express. Give them a try.

I've been driving by this place daily for over a year now, and after a long (lunchless) work day, I decided to stop in and grab a bite. The only disappointment I had after my visit is that it took me so long to try them out. I went with the curry basil chicken fried rice after a little paralysis by analysis while trying to pick from the fairly vast menu. I've had similar dishes at various places and felt it was a safe first pick. What I quickly found out is that I haven't quite had this dish before at all. Hands down, the most flavorful fried rice variation I've ever had. As a spice enthusiast, I had to be talked down from jumping straight to level 4 heat, and was steered by the owner to go with 2. Turned out to be solid advice, as 2 was perfect in that it packed the heat while not distracting from each delicious bite. The portion was for sure large enough to save some for the next day's lunch, but I can confirm: there were no surviving portions to be found at the scene. The service was excellent, and the owners were the nicest people imaginable. Highly recommended!

Curry basil fried rice with beef

Had a delicious lunch from here the other day. Pork potstickers, Clay pot chicken, and Curry basil fried rice with beef. The 5 potstickers were jammed full of their pork mixture, And the wrapper was well cooked and tender. I had the Clay pot chicken, which was really good. Basically it's chicken cooked in a clay pot with onions and butter. Simple and really delicious. I was surprised there was a touch of sweetness to it, and really enjoyed that aspect. It was not spicy, but it was "warm". It came with rice, of course, and a small side salad, which I was going to ignore. But when I got a taste of the dressing, which you can't really see, it was sweet and tangy and very nice. Another reviewer talked about her salad being wilted, but if she got it to go, and they put it in the warm rice container, like they did with mine, that's what's going to happen. Also, would she consider a "pasta house" type of salad "limp"? To me, it was the same kind of thing here. My friend had the Curry basil fried rice. It was way too spicy for me, but then I'm a little baby about that. Spice level four, out of five, was ordered, and it was plenty hot, but my friend also got a extra little dish of their spicy chili paste (that they make in house), and he quite enjoyed that. I could see the steam coming out of his ears, ha ha. Everything in the fried rice, I was told, was well distributed, and the beef slices were big and tender. While everything else was good, their lemon cake just about made me swoon, lol. The frosting seemed to be whipped cream based, light and fluffy, and the cake was thick and moist. Good sized piece, too. I would go back there just for the cake. No picture, ummm, because, I smashed it in my face and forgot. All in all, good lunch. I thought it was expensive, but then I think everything is, so you can't go by me. We had takeout, and I was a little disappointed at the Styrofoam packaging, but ordering was easy over the phone (the gal who answered was helpful and courteous). When I picked up my order, it was ready pretty quick, and the place looked bright and clean (maybe 10 tables?). Nice addition to Florissant, thanks!

Spot House interestingly offers a wide variety of dishes from burgers, tacos, and sandwiches but obviously I came for the Vietnamese specials. This dish is a specialty that you can't normally find around St. Louis area. It's definitely a crowd's favorite and I loved every single bite. Highly recommend that you order this dish. Typically, you would enjoy this with some fresh lettuce and herbs and you would dip the pancake in fish sauce, the liquid gold that elevates the whole dish. If I had to nitpick about one thing, it would be Cơm Gà, the rice and fried chicken leg dish. The chicken was dry and a little bit blend, albeit super crispy. You really gotta dowse it with fish sauce to make it taste better. However, I did enjoy the yellow rice. The rice on the other hand was very well-seasoned. I dropped in on a Saturday evening and ordered the **Shroomed Up** ramen, and it was a ramen masterclass in a bowl. The broth managed to be incredibly rich and deeply savory-sweet all at once, without ever feeling heavy. It was loaded with thick, substantial slabs of mushrooms, tender-cooked bok choy, and the noodles were the star of the show--thick and perfectly cooked to that ideal sweet spot where they aren't too chewy but have zero mushiness. Even with a line stretching out the door when we arrived, the wait wasn't tedious, and we reached the counter reasonably fast. The ordering process is standard counter service, but the staff member who took our order was incredibly nice, polite, and helpful, practically predicting my questions as I was looking over the menu.
