I have been seeing Violet for almost a year now, I had to stop doing my lashes, due to eye infection, NOT related to my lashes. I decided to give my lashes a break so my eye can recover. I waited a while to write this review bc I know how detrimental a negative review is to small businesses. But due to hygiene issues, I decided to go for it. if anything, it's a learning experience for Anh. She was very nice and accommodating. But I need to address hygiene here. I should've walked out when I saw the box of yellow spoolies half opened in a cardboard lid on the ground under the table. I looked up and saw an old Tao Tao tea boba cup near the sink. She said she had just gotten back from vacation, so there was another red flag I decided to ignore. It is very cluttered in that studio. Another red flag I ignored bc the price was good. I laid down on the table and she started working on my eyes. And you know what I noticed? I did not recall seeing or hearing her wash her hands at any point in time. My appointment was at 8am; she decided to accommodate me by coming in an hour early even though she had just come back from vacation. No gloves. No hand washing. Now then the sneezing started. She sneezed nonstop. Had me sign paperwork saying I had no symptoms of Covid and here she was sneezing non stop with no mask on. Did not stop to wash her hands once. And she kept texting while working on my lashes. Bare handed. No gloves. No mask. Dirty ass phone. My left eye started itching the next day but I ignored it thinking I was going to get used to it. Then at around day 5 or 6, I couldn't take it anymore and it started swelling so I went to get it removed at another spot. The other tech I went to was frustrated removing my lashes bc she had placed the glue so close to my skin. Anh, please consider better storage for your equipment and practice better hygiene. I ended up paying just under 200 for lashes for a week and having to pay to get it removed. Sorry, but I will never come back here and I will urge my friends to go elsewhere for lashes. I've attached a photo of my eye. When I got it removed, the bottom corner of my eye was irritated and had a giant red lump similar to a stye. After I got it removed, this lump formed on the top inner corner of my left eye. Honestly, you guys, this is concerning on so many degrees. read more

I remember when covid hit, my extensions are dying since they shut down on everything and when the beauty industry opened again I decided not to come back since I thought it was pretty pricey so Imma stick with falsie. I also love that her location was so convenient. When I arrived Violet provided an in-person consultation and I complete some waivers, including Covid-19 info. I have had sill lashes before and when my allergies was bad I couldn't stop scratching so I had them removed (all done by a different person). Recently got my eyebrows microbladed for the first time and had a great experience. Anh knew I was a bit nervous/hesitant but made me feel comfortable and reassured me that we could keep them more natural and close to my natural shape. She would regularly check in on the pain level and my tolerance, which was not bad at all with the numbing cream. My whole appointment was quicker than I expected too and was just about 2 hours. I had completely the same experience as the client concerned about the hygiene of the provider. My visit was about an year ago during another surge of Covid. Her face mask was covering her mouth only, not nose. No washing hands before or between applications (or using sanitizer) , she checked her phone at least three times. She did not ask me if I am comfortable with her not covering her nose with mask while she was working on lashes. Another thing is, Anh did not explain what she is doing. I just had to keep my eyes closed when she left me alone while in the other room on her phone.
