I love greek good and Daphne's used to do Greek food back in the day. Now it's very mainstreamed and they even changed the name to california greek or something to that effect. It's changed a lot from when it opened over ten years ago, and I get that things change and evolve but I miss the old Daphne's. Needless to say, I still eat here when I need my greek fix and because I don't really know where else to go that's local. The food is pretty delicious- and I've tried everything! I recommend the spicy gyro pita, hummus, fire feta, dolmas, and the falafel! It's all so good. The avgolemono soup is so good too! I put feta on everything, try it on the fries it's so good! I mean I've seriously tried everything. The service is hit or miss. I usually take the food to go. There was two times in a row where I ordered fire feta on my pitas and got home to find there was none, which is really disappointing, especially after I stressed it had happened the time before. So now I check my meal before I leave and that means unwrapping the pitas and making sure it's all there. Also, often the tzatiki sauce is forgotten. That sauce can make or break a meal. I feel like more often then not something is wrong with what I ordered or things forgotten and that's why I give DGC a low score, they need to up their service game! read more

We used to go to this location when it first opened and it was decent for fast food Greek. It's not authentic. I worked in a real Greek restaurant and the quality is lower here but it was edible. Over the past two years this place has gone downhill. Services for one item took over 20 minutes with only two other customers in the place. No one placed a big order so we should have been out in much shorter time. They got the order wrong, no sauce provided and we asked for extra tomatoes n no onions and that was wrong too. Too frustrating after having this happen numerous times to risk going back. I would love it if we had a real Greek restaurant in Roseville! read more

They never have any to go menus and an old one I happen to find at my work place has no address OR phone number. I went to order online seeing as you have to order ahead of time because the wait to time is about 15 mins. I went to search for the location and nothing came up for Roseville. I needed to feed a group of 9 for a 12pm office lunch. I arrived at 11:25am and was told that it was going to take 35 minutes for an order of 2 family feasts (chicken & shrimp) and 3 chicken salads because they didn't have chicken readily available. Mind you, the restaurant opened at 11am. The restaurant should have had plenty of chicken prepped already, and I will add that the entire place was empty. Don't eat here if you have gluten sensitivity or Celiac's. While they have a list of GF options and say they're able to accommodate, they can't seem to figure it out. I've given this place two chances. First time I ordered pick-up and asked to leave off pita bread. Reconfirmed several time while ordering and was assured they'd make it gluten free. Upon pickup, the pita bread was sitting right on top of everything. I chalked it up to a misunderstanding and went back a couple months later because my husband really likes this place. We ordered in, went through the whole process again, and order came out with pita bread on top once more! They weren't apologetic when I pointed out the issue and just said they'd remake it. With their complete lack of understanding and disregard of food intolerances, I wasn't confident that they didn't just peel the bread off the top and re-serve it. This was my first time trying out this place. I ordered the bowl with chicken to-go. Everything was excellent except for the black burnt pieces of bacon. The chicken was juicy and the rice was excellent. The soda machine has syrups for you to customize your drinks, which I loved. The wait time for my food was maybe about 10-15 minutes. We go to the location on Sierra College Blvd because it is close to the house. However the food always is cold and they have forgotten to include items on our orders. For two people it costs us $21 which seems a bit pricey for rice, a small amount of salad, a few cold pieces of gyro meat and a chicken kabob. When we called to tell them they forgot our item they did apologize and offered us $5 off if we brought our receipt in on our next visit...unfortunately we haven't been back read more

Could've been 5 stars had they not forgotten the olives, feta cheese, and artichokes in my Mediterranean salad. The grilled chicken in my salad was delicious! So much flavor in it! However I had asked for shrimp to be substituted in, and if not possible, to be contacted. It was still a good salad, but not what I was expecting after an hour long wait for Door Dash to deliver. The spanakopita was amazing!!! My first time ever having it, and I was super satisfied. The pita and dip are also delicious. Eeek, I was excited to come here since I loved the Daphne's I used to have on campus at USC but I was very disappointed. Nothing wrong with the service or the wait time at this restaurant but the sheer emptiness of this establishment should have been a clear indicator to me that I might be disappointed. I had the Greek salad with Gyro and fries as my side. The salad itself was decent with the fresh vegetables that were crisp and clean but my real issue was with the gyros. I've never had gyros that was tough, flavorless, and burnt...I imagine that this is the same texture as burnt rubber. Pity though since I spent $11 on the whole meal. read more

The owner of this restaurant is too cheap to buy a new meat shaver and requires employees to cut the gyro meat with a knife which cause the meat to be too thick. Hence this is not a classic gyro with thinly shaved meat. This restaurant has been going down hill for years. Save your money. read more

Daphne's is getting out of control. No longer have small gyro's. Only regular which is almost 8 dollars for one and are half filled. I got only 3 small pieces of chicken in my chicken gyro that's as much as I usually got in my small ones... Also get ready to wait. I waited about 30 or 40 minutes to get my food. read more

My dad and I came in tonight for light meal before heading to the movies. Food is always tasty that isn't the problem. He ordered the surf & turf and I, in the end, ordered the same thing, although I had started by ordering the Mix & Match. We were charged $3 more for the exact same meal. I believe the cashier should have recognized this, as this would have been great customer service. This place has gone off the rails. It was once good, but now it's completely mismanaged and the quality of the food has plummeted. The wait times for a simple pita are easily 10 mins or more, crazy considering the 4-5 staff members and cooks behind the counter. My pita was hard as a rock and the ingredients weren't even close to what was advertised. I brought them back and they eventually served me a dish that had the advertised ingredients. Madness. I really enjoy eating here because the food is exquisite but sometimes the service can be a little salty. I did once order takeout and they just completely messed it up, but no worries they were super friendly about it and made up for it.
