Really good halal spot in Citrus Heights! The food was fresh, flavorful, and the portions were generous. The meat was well seasoned and everything tasted great. The staff was friendly and the service was good. Definitely a spot I'd come back to and recommend to anyone looking for good halal food in the area.

Came to try this spot out. Parking is ample but it is tucked away in a corner. The prices are very reasonable. $15 for a meat plate including tax. Food was good for the price. Service was quick (no line) and he agreed to make my food without onions. He made it spicy for me. Was clean and the server/cook wore gloves and a hairnet. Ambiance was nice. Open seats and a TV playing in the background. Edit: I worry I give too many five-star reviews...but this was VERY close. 5 stars would have included pita and hummus or something.

Chicken kaboob with salad no rice.

Came in wanting a light dinner with meat on a stick. I ordered chicken kabob platter and he was able to modify my platter and remove the rice and just have it with Salad. The man working is so kind and helpful, his name is Masood. My husband ordered the combination platter. The sauces with it were also very tasty, fresh and light and made in restaurant. The dining area is small, but very clean. There is a Tv, a national geographic show was playing. This is a great hidden spot and I will be back.

I was looking for a new place to try a chicken Gyro and decided to give this place a try. I pass by it several times a week. The Chicken Gyro was good. I feel like it was smaller than most Gyros are, but the flavor was good. It is worth trying.

I moved here from the Bay Area 4 years ago and had not found a good Afghan/Mediterranean restaurant in Sacramento. I've driven past this place many times and decided to give it a try today. The food is so good. Everything tastes fresh. The meat was juicy and flavorful. I saw the owner use a meat thermometer after cooking my chicken to check the temperature which I appreciate. The restaurant is clean and inviting. I seriously don't understand how this place isn't packed. The food was amazing and the owner was very kind. I'll be back soon to try other plates on the menu.

It is sooooooo good! We have been looking for a food local spot since our favorite - pita spot closed. This place is now our favorite spot. It's so flavorful and really great customer service .

I ordered the mix over fries with lamb and chicken gyro, and it was very well done.

They want to make sure you love their food. We ordered the beef and lamb Gyro as well as the falafel Gyro, both were excellent and huge portions. Never tasted such a good Gyro! We saw that they have the chocolate strawberry desserts, as well as baklava, as well as Dubai chocolate. We ordered the homemade baklava, and it was excellent! Since we had never heard of the Dubai chocolate, the owners gave us a piece to try, and OMG, that is a winner! If you love milk chocolate, and pistachio cream inside. We will definitely be back when we are in the neighborhood. You must try this place!

It has been months since they took over and they have yet to figure out how to update the menu screens. They still show Gyros and Greek oriented dishes. One board shows a couple of Halal dishes yet the business name says Asian Grill. ???? The Tzatziki, Humus, and chili sauce on the table have been replaced by Hoisin Sauce, Fish Sauce, and Sriracha Sauce. What used to be the best Gyro in the Sacto area is now the worst. The Pita was flaky/crispy and the plentiful Beef/Lamb meat was salty, thin and grilled to the crispiness of bacon. The Chicken Schwarma was dry and didn't have much chicken to it. If you are looking for a Gyro - this is no longer the place to go.

The flip side is when they charge too much and build a gyro, for example, with tiny scraps of tomato, six fries at the most, the tiniest bit of tsatziki on the pita (a tiny plastic cup with a bit more? +50¢) AND - unless you invest an additional $3.50 for 'double meat' as I did, it's almost not worth it. The GOOD news is, that first bite of steak almost brought tears to my eyes it was so delicious, tender, perfectly cooked medium rare, and seasoned apparently by the gods. The pita was equally yummy. AND I did get $5 off my first order under their new rewards program, but I did have to spend $20 to get it. So... their miserly approach to ingredients may keep them in business BUT will I pay $17 again for a steak souvlaki pita any time soon? Probably not.
