I had a strange experience here today - something that I've never heard of! I haven't been to Daphne's in years, but my new job is nearby so I was happy to try it again. It's in the major shopping center at the corner of Douglas and Sierra College. Lots of parking, easy to find. I came in to grab lunch at around 12:30ish. No one in line, maybe 7-8 patrons eating inside. I went up to the front to order my food and the employee says - It will be at least a 30 minute wait for you to get your food. Um, what? So she said it again and said they were behind. I don't have 30 minutes to wait at lunch time, so unfortunately I left and I will not go back. You only get one chance to make a first impression.

Greek Bowl

Overall Experience Rating: 2 out of 5 stars I ordered the Greek Gyro Bowl with Fire Feta, a bowl of Lemon Soup, and Baklava. Here's a breakdown of my experience: * Greek Gyro Bowl with Fire Feta - 4/5 This dish had a good balance of gyro meat, roasted vegetables, rice, and fire feta sauce. I deducted one star due to the rice being slightly overcooked and crispy, with a hint of burnt flavor. Despite that, I would order it again. * Lemon Soup - 0/5 I was charged nearly $9 for what appeared to be a cup, not a bowl, of soup. It may have been a portioning mistake, but the quality was the bigger issue. Instead of the usual bright, lemony broth, the soup was brown, oily, and had an unpleasant, overcooked chicken flavor. There was no noticeable lemon taste. Very disappointing. * Baklava - 1/5 While reasonably priced at around $3, the baklava was extremely underwhelming. It lacked the signature honey flavor and sticky texture, and instead tasted dry and stale, almost as if it had been sitting out for a month. Another letdown.

We recently had lunch at Daphne's and enjoyed our meals. The service was good, and the casual atmosphere was just what we were looking for that day. Both of us ordered a Greek Salad and the Hand-Carved Gyro. The serving sizes were very generous, and the food was tasty, fresh and delicious. Prices were very competitive. I shall return.

Not bad greek food! Came to the Jamba Juice and saw greek food across the street, so stopped by and tried it out! The food is pretty tasty, portions are good. Staff are friendly, and inside environment is clean. Price is above average, but you get lots of food. The only downside is, the wait is very long. I was the only customer there, because I went during off-hours, and it still took them 15+ min to cook one plate of food. I ordered the standard mix-and-match with standard chicken and gyro--seems like that should be very fast and easy to make, no? In any case, not bad of a greek food restaurant!

My husband and I tried the BFG Pita with Gyro meat and it was delicious. A must try! They also have my favorite baklava.

Feta fries were a surprise didn't expect them to be so loaded and beautiful I was literally just expecting friends with feta and maybe a drizzle but I was pleasantly surprised They have great indoor and outdoor seating with shade Great place for a quick bite I think great value for what you get

We decided to eat here. I just wanted to try their LAMB…read moredish. Which I then founded out that there was only two skewers of some lamb. I slowly ate the two skewers of lamb, afterI found the spicy powder and some spicy sauces, could have used a tad bit more of the rice pilaf, which that went gone quite quickly... I was not full by then, we made it home when then I finished my left over lamb dish that I bought from door dash the other day... ALLIN ALL $21.95 for the Lamb Soulvlaki is quite expensive A.F. That did not get me no where to near full, two skewers of the lamb is not enough... YOU GUYS SHOULD HAVE DONE THREE SKEWERS OF LAMB FOR THE RIDICULOUS PRICE OF $21.95 Now I LEARNED TO NEVER GO BACK HERE EVER AGAIN FOR A LAMB DISH

Kolbeh Kabob serves Persian and Mediterranean cuisine…read more Language barrier issues with our server affected my ability to order what I wanted, led to an upsell, and prevented me from separating or splitting the bill. Server did offer to let us choose 2 different meats for our two #41 Koobideh plates (2 beef skewers for $25), but I think we would have been better off just ordering one #61 All Koobideh plate (3 different meat skewers for $34). One plate has plenty of basmati rice for two people to share. She suggested the two #41 orders, instead of answering how much an extra order of rice would cost. Maybe you can't order a side of rice? Rice comes with each entree. By ordering the 2nd plate, she offered or included the $8 Bread Basket for no extra charge. It was my friend's birthday. I wanted to pay, and she wanted to order extra to go, so I wanted two separate bills, but it seemed too complicated to explain or disallowed. After the food was delivered to the table, server didn't check on us anymore. I guess the restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays. My friend thought all the koobideh tasted the same. I liked them in this order: 1) Lamb, 2) Chicken, and 3) Beef, but they're the same texture, so they aren't all that different. I should have ordered a different 2nd entree, instead of two Koobideh plates. The #18 Bademjan Borani eggplant appetizer was yummy. It did come with some bread, so you don't have to order the bread basket. The bread is served warm. The basmati rice was light and fluffy, but not flavorful or buttery. You can pay a $4 upgrade to switch the rice to salad or a fancier stir fried rice. Read the Vegetarian Dishes menu section to learn about the various fried rice or polo preparations. Our server suggested the Fava Bean Rice or Baghali Polo because it is a Persian New Year dish. Yelp reviewers recommended the Zereshk Polo, which includes barberries, a fruit similar to currants. $10 to add a skewer of veggies. $4 to add a salad is mentioned under the Vegetarian Dishes menu and Seafood & Combination Plates menu. I didn't like how the sugar cubes for the Persian Tea were served. It looked communal and exposed to the elements. You could see sugar dust on the serving bowl. Other Persian restaurants serve the sugar in a smaller covered bowl. Formal dining room. Lunch specials are Monday to Friday, 11 am to 3 pm, excluding holidays. Lunch prices range from $16-$20. 3 different $8 soup offerings: chicken barley, ashe reshteh, or green lentil.

We usually come here as a large group during the holidays, and I always have a great time!!!…read more The service is really good, and the food is top tier for authentic kabob, the steak kabob is really realllly good! I'm not vegan but if I was I'd eat here daily, their olive salad (not sure of the name at the moment) is absolutely delicious, grilled veggies are cooked perfectly. I'm making it my New Year's resolution to eat here at least once a month. The prices are very reasonable also. 12 of us just ate there for just under $400 with drinks.
