We were both utterly enchanted by the culinary wonders laid before us. The service, too, was exemplary--indeed, a hearty commendation is due to Harrison and Michael for their attentive ministrations. The beverages, robust yet pleasantly smooth, should not be underestimated merely for their drinkability; they pack a spirited punch! I visited here last night and had such an amazing experience. To begin, we were welcomed by a pair of very sweet hostesses, Soraya and Brooke. They were attentive and had exceptional customer service skills. They made the experience very memorable. The ambiance felt like we were in a restaurant in OC or LA. First time to visit this restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised. Nice environment, and clean. The food was very good. I ordered the arugula beet salad which was maybe big enough for 2 to enjoy, and it was good, although I would have liked just a bit more feta, and could have done without the citrus, but that's just my taste. I also ordered the Chicken and Gravy. It was a lightly breaded boneless breast, served over a generous mound of mashed potatoes and gravy. A real comfort food. My only complaint is that our entrees were brought out while we were still enjoying our salads. That is pretty unacceptable. Fortunately, the gentleman who brought them out (not our waitress) took them back until we were finished with the salads. Also, it took a little longer than I thought it should to get our cocktails after ordering them. But other than all that, it was a pleasant evening and we will be back to try some more dishes. read more

Valet parking $8, we had no reservations on a Friday, 5:30 pm, the tables were about half full, we were asked if we would sit outside, no, then we were told a 10 minute wait. We were seated next to the bar and the main throughway for service. The space is nicely renovated, "open concept" dining, including a open kitchen. So it's loud! The longer you stay the louder it gets, more bar vibe than restaurant. This is evident as the bartenders also act as servers taking both drink and food orders. The specialty cocktails are $17 to $20, and are prominently featured, wine by the glass is $11-15. After our drinks arrived the bartender took our food order, we requested each dish to arrive in courses, he confirmed this request. We ordered crab cakes, ceasear salad, tequila shrimp pasta and the "hanging steak", it is really hanger steak! The crab cakes came first, sitting on a bed of arugula, cakes covered in the jalapeño cream sauce, the sauce overpowered the delicious crab, I scraped it off my portion. Why not serve with a citrus based sauce on the plate so patrons can decide how much sauce if any to complement the crab, also ditch the arugula it was too overwhelming. Next a expediter arrived with the salad and both entrees, after specifically asking for each course to be timed. We told him to take it back to the kitchen, there was a scramble and confused looks from the kitchen, expediter and other staff. Our first bartender/server never returned, apparently we were not easy patrons, however we were polite in our exchange. No manager came to check on us, but seemed cozy with people at the bar. Another bartender/server checked on us and asked if we needed anything else, he thought we had finished our meal? We briefly said no and were waiting for the next course. The ceasear arrived, it was over dressed with a creamy dressing, otherwise a typical rendering. We were halfway through the salad and the expediter came with our entrees again, we sent him away. The second bartender/server came by and said our entrees would be remaid. The hangar steak with sauted mushrooms was perfect medium rare with a little sign (not nessarary and an inedible orchid flower). The steak was tender and mushrooms good, it was heavily seasoned so you will need additional beverages ( as is the focus). The tequila shrimp pasta cream sauce was silky and shrimp were cooked perfectly, but the pasta was a bit over done. We tried the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and some type of marshmallow type cream, it was standard and could be shared with a larger group that only wanted a taste of chocolate. Overall the focus is on craft cocktails, it's not intimate, you can't have a normal conversation and it doesn't seem like a family restaurant. There were tons of staff, but seemed to be uncoordinated in the execution of service and communication. Not sure if we will return, I won't be bringing out of town guests unfortunately. read more

I recently visited this restaurant after seeing its strong Yelp reviews and being in the area. As someone with experience working in the restaurant industry, I understand the challenges staff can face--especially when short-staffed, which seemed to be the case during my visit around 1-2 PM. I was patient and understanding, but unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. I asked to be seated outside since the interior was loud and uncomfortably warm. The waiter, however, lacked enthusiasm and attentiveness from the start. We were given water once with no refills, and my partner's soft drink didn't arrive until nearly 40 minutes after we were seated and already eating, only after we reminded the waiter. I also ordered a cocktail that the waiter knew little about, and it didn't taste great. To their credit, they did replace it when I asked, but the lack of knowledge was frustrating. For my meal, I ordered the chipotle chicken pasta. It was just okay nothing special, and definitely not worth the hype this restaurant seems to receive. While the ambiance and presentation were nice, the food and drinks simply didn't justify the price. Most of what we tried lacked flavor and felt uninspired. For what you spend here on a meal for two, you could easily dine somewhere with better food, service, and overall value. Sadly, we won't be returning. read more

The bone-in pork chop ($40) had the best cook I've seen on a pork chop, and yet it wasn't seasoned at all. No salt to cut the umami of the meat. The filet mignon was overcooked (I prefer medium rare), and I sent it back. Took 30 minutes to get another one and it came back rare with no seasoning. Ambiance is nice and romantic, just wish the food was a bit more refined for the price. read more

Went to Dapper to give it a try. My wife had the Linguine Pescatore with a house salad and I had the prime rib with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. Our food was excellent. They have some very nice drink offerings. My wife had the Monkey Business Expresso and loved it. Our server was friendly and professional. The seating is comfortable and the background music is soft yet upbeat. The restaurant looks very clean and stylish for the mood this location sets. We spoke briefly with one of the owners who clearly wants his product to be well presented. There are television screens placed with rotating pictures of beautiful scenery throughout the world. There is outdoor seating available. This place is enjoyable and inviting. We will be back. read more

My husband and I went to Dapper Dine and Lounge on Valentines Day weekend and we had a wonderful experience. We were sat exactly at our reservation time. The ambiance was beautiful and upscale. Even with a full room, the tables were not crowded and we were able to have an intimate, romantic evening. The service was top notch. Our server and bus woman were kind, attentive, and quick. The food and drinks were delicious! I ordered the crab cakes to start, filet mignon and loaded baked potato for my entree, and a warm butter cake for dessert. Everything was well seasoned. From the moment my family and I arrived at Dapper we knew it was the right spot to celebrate my sister's birthday. We arrived a bit early the music was amazing the ambiance on point all workers were dressed well. We were told they would make every effort to seat us early. They walked us over to a waiting area where we were given menu's to look over at our request. We were seated shortly afterwards. Our server Sheree was very friendly and knowledgeable about the restaurant as well as the food. She took our orders and gave suggestions. There was four of us in our party. Three of the four changed their orders after talking to Sheree. Dappers has a large menu to satisfy all appetites . My brother in law changed his mind and ordered the Salmon, our birthday Queen ordered the lamb chops, my niece ordered the flank steak. I stayed with my choice of the creamy tequila pasta. All dishes were superb. The appetizers did not disappoint we ordered the crab cakes and the spicy shrimp with a savory sauce . The Queen was very happy with her overall experience . I came to this restaurant on a Friday night it was pretty busy. I had a reservation at 7pm. I decided I would grab some " nothing Bundt cakes just a dozen to bring for my guest that were coming. It was just 6 of us. So when I arrive at 6:40pm I let them know I had a reservation they looked it up and I was asked if I wanted her to place my cup cakes in the refrigerator I said no. She reported to me that it would be a $25 charge for the cup cakes. So I let her know I will leave them in my car it was a cool day so no big deal. We get seated at 7pm the whole party. They give us a round of waters. We are all sitting around and I notice and others in my party notice not a single soul has said " we are sorry for the wait we will be with you momentarily. It is now almost 30 minutes and no one. My husband had to make a big fuss with the manager I believe his name was angel. He was very apologetic and they had to determine who our waitress would be. The waitress comes and introduces herself she was very apologetic and she did a good job. The waitress came to me asking if I would save room for dessert I'm like sure she told me about the butter cake so I said sure. Me thinking it was free. They bring it out the cake was delicious and just the right size to be shared by two. We sing happy birthday I open my gifts we get the check and see that the butter cake is not complimentary. I'm like ok wow!!! The waitress said she tried to ask the manager and he said no. We were upset once again, so they ended up giving our party a round of drinks.
