At first everything was okay but the salad we got had tomatoes with mold on all of them, they apologized, changed it and didn't charge us for it but it's still bad. Sunny side up eggs were too undercooked even on the egg white but we also should have told them to cook them extra. Everything else was good.

My menudo craving has been satisfied! We came to Rodeo Cafe on Sunday morning, specifically because I wanted menudo and the photos here looked good. Five us arrived around 8 am and were seated quickly. Service was good the entire time we were there with frequent checks on our coffee refills. Everyone liked their food: chicken fried steak with gravy and scrambled eggs, country platter with biscuits and gravy and eggs and sausage, a strawberry waffle combo and strawberry French toast combo - although that daughter meant to get a waffle not French toast. It was good though. The waffle was large and fluffy, Belgian style. The rodeo potatoes were especially good. One of my girls didn't care for the coffee but I thought it was fine. My husband's breakfast came with a pancake and I also liked that. I almost knocked off a star for the country music that played the whole time. Country music literally hurts my ears. But it wasn't loud so I didn't. Would definitely recommend and come back again.

Our family reserved an area before we came for a visit. We looked for a local spot because we were going to be at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. Coffee was meh, kind of watery for my liking (others might enjoy it! so i guess you would have to try it yourself) Food was pretty great. I ordered their Chili Rojo Omelette and my husband ordered the pancakes, both of us enjoyed our plates. It's not often i can finish a big plate and today i did! A friend of our ordered their chilequilles and they looked so good!! The service was quick for as big as our party was (30 of us) they were attentive to the tables and friendly. They were on top of refills for everyone. Loved the country feel of the place! Prices weren't bad for the portions.

It's a bit of a letdown, but not because of the food--that part is incredible. Everything I've tried has been spot-on. The open-air setup is spacious, making it great for big groups. Service is quick, and the staff have just the right mix of sass and efficiency. The bar is big, lined with TVs, and they serve both breakfast and lunch, which are always solid. It's fun, lively, and everything runs smoothly. Honestly, it checks almost every box. I guess I just expected a rodeo lol. 5 stars!

Solid menu full of the staples. All the plates I saw were quite large portions. Staff attentive, professional, and nice. To loudfor me on a Sunday late morning with multiple sports on all the flat screens. But that's what the place is and I can deal with it for the delicious large portions.

A neighbor asked me to try this restaurant because it came highly recommended by his friend. I was told it's the same owner of 1909 by one of the other businesses across the street. The fries were really greasy, like the oil was cold when the fries went in and had stayed in the oil to long. Not much beef go a beef dip and I don't like to have go take food out of my mouth because I can't chew with the grizzle. I understand it was a soft opening, but I'm not usually willing to go back. We loved Luke the host! Although my friend liked the chef salad

We used to go here when it was Dorry's so we were excited to see what's changed. Overall it was pretty good when we visited for a weekday breakfast. The chicken fried steak was super good, decent eggs, and kind of dry biscuit BUT the gravy saved everything. He got a Belgian waffle with the usual side options. The only reason this wasn't a higher rating is the music - it was 8am and it was blasting! Like people near us were just as put off by it and, if you get seated under a speaker like we did, you won't be able to hold a conversation. But I would like to try again for lunch/dinner as the options look great and the bar looked stocked.

Rodeo staff is always very friendly. They have a pretty good breakfast election. Our recommendation would be the ribeye.

The restaurant has a casual, trendy brunch vibe and the menu is full of creative options that sounded really good. We tried the Brisket S'Mac Wrap, the Eggcelent Morning, and the truffle fries. The brisket wrap was flavorful and filling, with a nice balance of savory and cheesy. The Eggcelent Morning was solid comfort food and definitely satisfied a brunch craving. The truffle fries were crispy, well-seasoned, and a great shareable side. Service was the one downside. It was not very attentive, and we waited longer than expected for check-ins and refills. It was not terrible, but noticeable enough to impact the experience. Not to mention, it was not very busy at all around the time weren't, which was on a Wednesday around noon. Overall, the food was good and I would come back, especially when in the mood for brunch. With a little improvement in service, this could easily be a great go-to spot

We got the cajun shrimp, ribeye, and steak picado. The sauce in the cajun shrimp should be bottled and sold; It was drinkable! The ribeye was cooked perfectly to mid rare and the garlic mashed seasoned well. The Steak picado came in big cubed pics and very flavorful. My favorite was the seasoned veggies on that plate. Note: Get the Cajun Shrimp! IT IS A MUST - you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful decor, upscale vibes, moody lighting, and every corner feels intentionally designed. It's definitely a place that looks like it's about to deliver an incredible dining experience. Unfortunately, the food just didn't match the atmosphere. The crab cakes were decent, about a 6/10. You get two larger cakes, but they were a little bland on their own. The jalapeño aioli carried most of the flavor, but even as someone who loves spice, it leaned overly spicy. The wedge salad was surprisingly disappointing. The lettuce wasn't very crisp, and they added ham on top of the bacon, which felt unnecessary and honestly gave the dish a cheaper feel. We ended up removing the ham altogether. The fish tacos had nicely cooked fish, but again, lacked seasoning. They also came with more jalapeño aioli, and the portions felt awkward. The fish pieces were huge compared to the tiny tortillas, so eating them turned into a full taco explosion situation. The biggest letdown was the chimichurri sea bass. For a $52 entrée, we expected much better. The fish came out completely overcooked and dense like a brick, which was extra disappointing because the chimichurri sauce and mashed potatoes were actually delicious. On the bright side, the drinks were fantastic. Refreshing, flavorful, and probably the highlight of the meal. Service at the bar was also great across the board. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and welcoming throughout the night. This place truly has so much potential because the ambiance and service are already there. We really wanted to love the food as much as we loved the vibe, but unfortunately it just didn't wow us this time around.

Band was great as always unfortunately the food and service was mid at best for the way they're advertising. Wife ordered a steak salad with no onions. It showed up with onions which was whatever, the steak was SO overcooked like chewing jerky . No one brought out ranch so I had to go search for a waitress after 10+ minutes of waiting, as ours seemed to be overwhelmed by a larger party. I ordered this Kobe beef hotdog thinking it be this large gourmet type hot dog in a large bun , covered in vegetables and sauces , boy was I wrong honestly I couldn't even be mad it was so pitiful . This thing came out looking like something I'd throw together as a teen , bun was so hard, small and just flat on the plate like a piece of bread with a naked hot dog laying there . Hardly any veggies or anything on top. I've seen 100x better street dogs on food carts outside concert venues and Disneyland for $5. But whatever that's what I get for trying something new. Then I asked to substitute sweet potato fries instead of regular fries expecting it to be 2-3$ more like it's always been when I've done it in the past with burgers and such. Instead they bring out a separate giant plate of sweet potato fries for $12 and say they can't substitute with the hot dog. Of course I didn't finish even 1/2 the plate of these since I was looking for a side substitution not a meal for 4. Smh, if I knew this I'd just not waste $12 on top of the $18 sad kids dog I was given. Ordering beer , first beer came out in 5-7 min not bad at all, great start to night. We ordered second beer as we planned on staying till band finished and drinking for a bit after dinner, It literally took 20 minutes to get a simple draft beer. Unfortunately I couldn't bring myself to stick around for a third with how long drinks take so we ended up leaving at 8:45 and going to the bar down the street where they get beers out in minutes and have $10 street dogs that put that $18 Kobe beef dog to shame. Bummer, we used to love this place but the weight for simple draft beers is such a buzz kill probably won't make it back.
