Absolutely an amazing experience…read more I had heard some chatter a while back that Garage 17 is welcoming and accommodating to children with special needs, so I reached out to the owner, Freddy, to explain my situation and give him a rundown of my 5-year-old son's needs. From the very first message, Freddy was incredibly kind and understanding. He even offered to let us come in during regular business hours or after hours if that would make things easier for my son. I decided to come during business hours so my son's therapists could be there to support him. As expected, my son struggled a bit when he heard the clippers, but Freddy and his team were patient, calm, and completely understanding the entire time. With a little teamwork, support, toys, and snacks, we were able to get through the haircut successfully. What impressed me even more was Freddy's knowledge and attention to detail. He understood exactly what products needed to be used in my son's hair to help detangle it and make the haircut easier for him. As a parent of a child with special needs, finding businesses that are truly patient, compassionate, and willing to work with your child can be incredibly difficult. I'm so grateful to have found someone in town who genuinely cares and who we can visit regularly as my son continues to get more comfortable with haircuts. Highly recommend Garage 17!

Asked for disconnected, we were both clear on this, my sides are LITERALLY blended in with the tip of my head. We talked about how my hair could use a reperm. THERES NO HAIR LEFT TO PERM. This barbershop could have a reality TV show all of its own there and they like to have fun and cut up - pun intended. The owner always has donuts, some type of candy and stuff for the children and they keep it clean for all guests. I've seen this place packed with about 30 chairs full of people waiting and people standing and only being on about an hour or so wait.
