She contacted several companies, and ultimately went with these guys because she felt they were up front and the cost was reasonable. IIRC, she dealt with a gentleman by the name of Aiden who stopped by to formulate the estimate, and then Justin who was our installer. Long story long: they promised delivery of parts in about 4 weeks, and install in about 7 hours which was fine with us. The parts got here in about a week, they offered to get moving two days later, and the install was done in 5 hours. Next, I'm pretty well versed on construction (I've done plenty of large scale renovation projects myself at times, with my own hands... so... I know good and bad work). Midway after the install started, the installer did mentioned he has an issue with cable placement. He politely said I probably wouldn't notice it, but he wanted to let me know anyway and his proposed work-around. Once he briefed me, I did suggest an alternative correction method that I would prefer. He said "no problem... I'll make it work". And he did. That pretty much sums up dealing with them. Flexible, good work, efficient, and definitely courteous. On the bad side... I can't recognize our foyer anymore... I thought I walked into our neighbors house when I first saw the new railing... LOL It does look great now tho.

Update on review of Aug 5th. In interim between install and repair, a piece of trim came off and…read morewas blown from balcony in wind. The Pella repair man came today (Aug 20th) to finish install and replace missing trim. He cleaned up a lot of the dirty prints left behind on trim and in caulk on install, but did not have correct trim to replace trim that fell off. Wish he would have been here to guide the installers. They evidently are not experienced enough to work independently and could use supervision. The trim that fell off was not the correct trim for exterior. With trim missing between balcony door and transom over the door, it shows that the gap between is about 1/8" on outer edges and widens in middle to greater than 1/4" wide, then narrows to about 1/8" on other side. Gave me a clue as to why the trim fell off. I would conclude that lower door frame was not shimmed properly to be set level. It will likely be a few more weeks before correct trim piece can be ordered and the repair completed. Other residents in the condo community have been asking, and based on my experience, I cannot reccommend Pella.

He was communicative and explained pros/cons of all the various options. Partway through the project, we realized our pre-existing front porch needed some repairs too, and Sean seamlessly added that to the project and was very reasonable on the price. Once the team started, the work went quickly but was clearly done very carefully. The attention to detail was fantastic, and the end result is a beautiful and functional porch that we're thrilled with. In the first week after the porch was completed, at least 6-8 different sets of neighbors stopped us to say it looked great. Please check references, reviews, MHIC history as well as criminal history. I posted a review on the contractor's FB page and my review got taken down. This contractor did not perform workmanlike work, please see pictures. Contractor damaged our home and did not repair. Contractor also failed to follow the contract, for instance, the installed ridge vent was not installed according to manufacturer specifications, the vent was not cut. Contractor also is demanding payment of late fees and the contract has no language for late fees.
