We ordered fish and chips not like the photo huge big chunks of fish taste like rubber the fries were not even cooked. We had to return the meal. We had a large party for a birthday but they accommodated us really well. The server in our area was absolutely fabulous and worked really hard to take care of so many of us. It was a very comfy, homey p of experience, a very laid back clean atmosphere. The prices on everything is super reasonable, not sure how they stay in business. Awesome owners !! We had a wedding reception in October 2024 and they were so accommodating and the servers for our event went out of their way to provide great service. Our local club had reservations for 40. We have come here many times and actually had a holiday party here. The reservations are for 6 pm. They have prime rib printed on the menu. They were out. Irish Naxos also out. Clam chowder...out! Deserts..... asked and was told maybe. Steaks undercooked and delivered to the wrong folks. This place has been around for quite a while and I have never been here, I would say it was an okay experience. We came for a family birthday and had a group with us. The servers took forever to get our drinks and it was almost an hour into waiting (we were waiting for other people for about 20 minutes. The drinks were good, the appetizers were okay. I thought oysters were really over fried and super fishy, but my father in law thought they were great. The clams were good, with a butter sauce that was pretty good. My husbands steak was raw and we sent it back after a bite was taken out of it as well as cut in half....they did just throw it back on the grill after it had been contaminated by mouths and knives and stuff, that was a little interesting but there was no food waste, so insert *shrug* here. The sliders were dry, my son barely touched his and there were no sauces which just doesn't do it for me. The fries were unseasoned and we didn't really eat them. Took my mother for lunch today. She let the waiter know she had celiac disease. He served her breaded and fried fish and tried to claim it was gluten free. After asking him to please check with the kitchen he informed us that they were not gluten free. My husband and I ate here for the first time tonight and I was wary due to the negative reviews. All I have to say is go back! Service was quick and efficient and the food was delicious. Amy (AJ) was our server, she was so friendly and attentive. I had the sirloin with peppercorn sauce and my husband had the chicken fried steak. We both loved our meals, very tasty and can I just say their green beans are our of this world. I had a long island ice-tea and it was by far the best I have ever had. I even asked Amy if they had a 2 per person limit due to how tasty it was! Please go check this place out if you've never been and give it another go if you didn't like it the first time. Been here several times. The service and food generally rate in the 3 star territory. However, tonight we went and waited at the entrance for 10 minutes. 2 different servers saw us during that time. Not a smile or a finger raised indicating that they would be with us shortly. Absolutely no acknowledgement. The place had maybe 10 people at the bar and three tables occupied. 10 minutes without a person welcoming you is just unacceptable. We stopped for dinner last night and two of us ordered the Prime Rib. It was terrible! We could hardly cut it with steak knives and they were of poor quality. It appears it was cooked in a convection oven. I ordered med rare and I can't tell you if it was or not. The meat had not been seared or grilled. The entire steak was red... not raw red but convection oven not browned red! Our waiter was the only one working the dining room and was working his butt off. Very nice kid. First negative review for me. Great food as recently as last week when my husband and I brought our son last week for a delicious steak dinner. They were busy in the bar with a Zags game on, but our server was fantastic and was tipped accordingly. I was excited when we were invited to a birthday party, but a little disappointed to find out the full menu was closed (we arrived after 9pm). I've only ever had great experiences in the restaurant since its owners opened its doors--a relief after them having sold Casey's Place (loyal customer there too). I've dined in regularly over the years and placed dozens of orders to-go (club is my go-to). The young ladies serving the side room for the party were pleasant, unlike the ill-mannered, boorish staff in the bar. I waited for 5 minutes at the bar without anyone asking to help me. I asked a friend if something happened before I arrived because everyone seemed grumpy, and a server who walked up replied that I was the only person there who was being "rude" and told me she didn't like the way I was talking to her coworkers. I was genuinely confused and thought she may have mixed me up with another patron, so I asked if she was serious first, then explained that I had only just arrived 10 minutes before. I asked the bartender if she thought I had been rude to her, and she said, "No, not to me." I had only spoken to one other bartender to order soda (and my husband ordered a beer), and I asked about the menu--I didn't interpret that first interaction as negative though. As I continued waiting for assistance at the bar, I told the party hosts about the incident--I thought it would be best to let them know since they booked the party. The same bartender who just said I hadn't been rude to her began to shout and curse at me, telling me I could leave if I was going to "start s%#t". She went on to say I was "staring" at the one who called me rude, and "telling my friends" about what she had said to me. I told her I wasn't starting anything and that I was appalled by how they treat patrons. She told me I could "go back to the party or leave." I explained I had only been at the bar area because I was waiting to ask for a refill of my Diet Pepsi. I'm unsure if someone misinterpreted my facial expressions or body language, if they thought I was drinking/drunk like the rest of the patrons there, or if they mixed me up with someone else, but I certainly had not said or done anything that should have been interpreted as rude. Accusing me of doing things I hadn't was embarrassing for me, and inappropriate and unprofessional for the staff. Because of this interaction, I don't plan to return and I'm pretty upset about it. I hope Darcy's can get some better staff or train the ones they have, so I might feel comfortable returning one day. read more

My mom loves this place and has been trying to get me to go there for months. I finally gave in about a month ago on a night they have discounted burgers. To be fair, a Gonzaga game had been on earlier and it was still busy. However when I got the burger it had very little condiments on it. I asked for some Mayo because it was dry. I was also offered tarter sauce. The Mayo came after asking for it twice and after I had eaten the burger. The tarter (for fries) never came. Not only did we have our own room, they let us come early and decorate including them providing matching napkins and tablecloths and we had our own AMAZING server, Jacobey! At one point I thought he must be triplets! Annette (manager?) checked in several times throughout out dinner party also! We never wanted for drinks, the food was ordered and served very reasonably for a large group and out of 35 meals only one very picky uncle wasn't 100% happy! I have been to Darcy's twice. They are one of the few area restaurants that has a large meeting room for large groups. A club I belong to meets at Darcy's every month. The meeting room must comfortably hole 50 people, maybe more. They also have a good size regular dining room and bar area. The bar serves big corporation beer on draft. They had no amber beer on draft so I ordered a bottle of an Amber. Our server was quick and I soon got my beer. The first time I was there I tried their cheeseburger. It was good but ordinary. The second time I thought I would try "Street Tacos - Six white corn tortillas filled with fish or chicken topped with fresh pico de gallo and a creamy cilantro sauce ~ $8" I waited and waited. The group meeting finally served cake for a special event and I had some cake. Almost at the end of the meeting our server brought my Street Tacos. She apologized for the delay saying "The kitchen was backed up." When they finally arrived my Street Tacos had quite a bit of chicken, and the cilantro sauce dripped over. It didn't sit well with my digestion for the next day. They also have steaks, chicken fried steak, and a big selection of sandwiches and salads. Perhaps next time I'll go back to their hamburgers. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable. The noise level was quieter than many places. Parking was adequate. Restrooms were maintained. Prices were reasonable. I ordered a bowl of the ham and bean soup. It came with a piece of french bread with no butter. The soup was delicious, very salty, but the next morning my stomach was painful and it lasted for a couple days. I don't think the beans were cooked all the way so wouldn't order that again. read more
