Not only did a kind human answer the call (not a recording!) they were only too happy to schedule a consultation for the next day! David visited with us, knowledgeable, humble, caring and kind. Absolutely worthy of a 5 star review. I found Dario's Tree Trimming service from a mail flyer and couldn't be happier that I did. Within 48 hours they came to my house, provided an estimate, arrived with a big crew and machinery and great job, all on time. Super impressed with them, a definite recommend again. I called in the morning and later in the evening Dario and David arrived at my home to provide an estimate. My project involved removing a hedge as well as a chain link fence. In all there was about 150 linear ft of hedge and fence to remove. During the evaluation we discussed the process and procedure for the removal. Dario told me he had heavy duty Kubota and trucks that would efficiently pull the 25 cement anchored posts from my yard. We discussed price and agreed on a start time. They arrived at the scheduled appointment 15 minutes early and with a crew a 6 guys, professionally dressed in uniform. They made quick work of the hedges and got right to the fence with the Kubota. When they were done pulling all the posts they used a machine that looked like a trencher to dig out the roots of each hedge, probably 90 plants in all. They had initially expected the job to take a day and a half but they were so efficient it ended up taking only one day. They left behind a nicely graded perimeter, with no holes and no more ugly hedge! All in, I couldn't be happier with the service from Dario and his team. Would recommend them to anyone. read more

These guys did a great job on my back hillside. We had 7 mature trees that had not been trimmed in years and really needed it. The crew showed up on time and got started right away. It was clear that these guys really knew their jobs because they didn't need to be told what to do, they just got their equipment set up and got started. They took care to avoid damaging the other plants in the yard and cleaned up everything. My back yard was cleaner when they left than when they arrived. The trees on my back hill look so much better and there is more light now. They also did great work on some palm trees in my front yard. There was no debris in the street when they left. We have more work that needs to be done out front, so we are going to hire them for that work as well. Great crew! read more

I had David come out twice for estimates. The first time included some ficus trees about 12 feet tall (six in the front yard and one in the back). I usually trim them but I really need a taller ladder to be safe. In addition, I had a huge Acacia (40'), Podocarpus (30') and a Crape Myrtle (30'), and a Flowering Pear (25'), that I wanted natural trims on. I thought the price was reasonable, but did not want to spend so much. I just paid $2,000 in October to have a huge pine tree trimmed. Anyways, I attacked the ficus' myself. My neighbor gives me access to her side, which makes it easy because the front trees are on the property line. I cut them back quite a bit so I don't have to tackle the job every year. I had David estimate again and it looks like I saved $550. I figure I can buy a taller ladder with what I saved because I trim those trees two or three times a year. David came on a Thursday. I called him back Friday, as construction was going on next door. We scheduled for 7:00 a.m. on Monday. Dario and his crew of four others were here by 6:45 scoping out the job, and promptly began work. They knocked it all out (three trees) by nine, and left everything clean. As I watched them working, I realized that I could not do that kind of work anymore, and there was more to it than I thought ( because I had all of the trees except the Podocarpus trimmed two years ago). I highly recommend this company. We had a bunch of regrow that from the rains from old trees and need pruning of three larger trees, it scrubs everywhere. I called and spoke with David and he came out the next day for an estimate then got the team out two days later. They were on time, knowledgeable, friendly and respectful of our neighbors yards too. They cleaned up so nicely after doing all the work and also made sure our neighbor's yard was cleaned. It was quick, efficient and the trees and yard look amazing. They were punctual and did a great job cleaning up afterwards. They did a great job on my palm trees. I am not happy with my pepper tree that was supposed to be shaped. They basically hacked it and left many smaller branches on the main branches which will make them heavy when growth comes back. They tried telling me they couldn't cut the smaller branches cause of weight distribution which I found out was a lie. I think they just didn't have room for the branches because they got a quick job from my neighbor who wanted two trees chopped down. I will never use them again. read more

This is not the first time I have used Dario's service. And I am not one to not investigate and try to find the best service for the best price. I called Dario again. It is a family business, and the 3 sons work with the dad. But make no mistake, these are professional arborists and their workmanship is amazing. They have a huge crew, and are on them continually to ensure everything is done perfectly. I have 3 huge Coral trees, which are hard to trim, and they did an amazing job. They also did 3 giant eucalyptuses trees and two magnolia-ish trees. All were done perfectly for shape, appearance and health of the trees. They even checked my lights and sprinklers when they finished to ensure nothing was damaged. Clean-up was spotless. The price was very reasonable. We submitted a request to cut our trees and hedges on Wednesday and David from Dario Tree Trimming came to your home that same day to provide an estimate. David walked through our property to understand our desired results. He was professional and very detailed in explaining how they planned to address our needs. It took about 10-15 minutes total to walk through everything and obtain a written estimate. Its unclear what went wrong, but this company didn't show up for their estimate appointment. Perhaps they went to the wrong home. In any case, my renter is frustrated that they went out of their way to be home only to have a no-show. They claim that they DID show up, but I know that they didn't. Assuming that it was an honest mistake, I attempted to reschedule, and was told that they don't go back if an appointment doesn't work out the first time, and weren't interested in doing business with me. Pretty disappointing for a company that gets such praise on Yelp. My search for a go-to tree trimming company continues. ** Addendum. So they just called me and called me a liar for posting the review. Whatever. I think they made an honest mistake but decided to be rude instead of working with me. If you look at my reviews, I call it like I see it. ** No surprise...Dario lies multiple times during his response. My text didn't ask why they didn't show up, and I can prove it. Also, I was never told that I had to be there personally in addition to my tenants for the estimate. Communication IS important. So I had set up 4 appts for various tree trimming companies to come out and trim 3 very large trees and remove 1 only tree down to the ground and removing the stump. When I met with David he was on time and we went over my options. After he took a look around at what work needed to be done he came back with a very good price I couldn't refuse. This May in 2024 is the second time we used Dario Tree Trimming. The first time was July 2021. They did a great job like the first time. They came out to provide a quote the same day we called. We signed the contract that same day and they came out to do the job the next day. They had a large crew of ~ten people, all sorts of gear and a huge cherry picker to allow trimming of a very tall oak tree.They gave us the lowest of three quotes in 2021 and this time bumped it up for additional scope (Five large trees instead of three last time) and for inflation but it was still a good price. The crew of ~10 finished the job in about 5 1/2 hours. They cleaned up extremely well and the two large oak trees and three large ficus trees look really great. read more

We have used Dario a number of times over the years to trim our trees. Our trees are tall. They provide us lots of shade. And we have been glad every time to use Dario: They have always done a very nice, thorough job, been on the job site quickly, gotten done within a few hours, cleaned up and have been reasonable in price. This time (mid-October) was no different. David came out to provide the estimate. He was thorough, specific, and worked with us on price compared to the other quotes we received. Since they were in the area, they were able to do the work the same day and finished the same afternoon. We have a small yard with tall mature trees, lots of plantings and house and roof right in the way of the trimmers. The trimmers were able to use both the bucket on their truck. and climb the trees to do their work. They did everything we asked. For the trees that overhang the roof, they were careful to remove each large branch separately, not allowing anything to fall on the roof. They took care around planter beds and moved potted plants out of the way to protect them. We will definitely think of Dario first the next time we need work done on our tall trees. read more

So after a brief discussion with David about the disappointment with the way how the roof of the shed was "fixed", he was agreeable to have it corrected. One of his workers was able to take out the broken portion of the roof and completely replace it to a much better state. Again the work on the trees was fantastic. And now that includes the work on getting the roof of the shed back to an acceptable standard. I have included the pics on the part of the shed that was fixed.
