Wow this coffee spot looks so cute. We came to pick up a vegan cake and did not spect that this coffee show is a cut spot to chill and get your coffee fix. Would definitely come back to try their coffee. The team that work here was amazing also they are very welcoming.

Fantastic experience! Love the vibe here - many non dairy options . Has a speakeasy feel to the place .

I thought I'd never been here but realized I had come during the days of Covid - which seemed surreal to me!!This rediscovery came recently as I came with a vegan friend to try since they are vegan friendly and I would never know otherwise because it's so good! The ambiance as you walk in is so cool, dark hipster vibes with really cool music and people just hanging out with laptops or with a person enjoying. The line was long and out the door, and inside tables were pretty packed, but I took myself outside for the patio there and it was great. There is so much seating outside and it's covered with plants and foliage so it's beautiful and you get that nice vitamin D from the sun but it's just what comes in between the leaves of the trees. She had a muffin and a matcha and I enjoyed just sitting with my gf, it was delightful. I'll have to come back to get a true feel for the coffee and baked goods although I have only heard great things.

I searched online today to find a place that would be cozy to bring my laptop and book and that that had plenty of space. Dark Hall popped up and I was drawn to the grungy vibes from the pictures. It did not disappointment! There's spacious outside seating all around the building and cozy inside seating. Inside seating is more limited, but it fit the cozy vibe I was going for. The owner was taking orders and he had such welcoming energy while taking his time to recommend some drinks. I tried two. First was the Sparking Garden Lemonade Matcha which was so crisp and refreshing. Loved it. I paired it with their Chocolate Banana Cake, which was so moist, creamy, and of course tasty. Then I wanted to make sure I tried some coffee because the reviews I've seen raved about it. I told the owner I enjoy cinnamon so he suggested a brown sugar cinnamon latte. Delicious!! What is so unique about Dark Hall is they only offer alternative milks and gluten free pastries. I've never seen that before at a coffee shop, but I'm here for it. They wear their beliefs loud and proud and it's so refreshing to encounter. Highly recommend for the vibes, coffee, and matcha!

This place was cool! I loved the spooky decor and ambiance. This place is next door to the Coronado, and they share a small parking lot. There was additional parking across the street. Indoor outdoor seating, standard coffee drinks with house made syrups and delicious vegan treats! The people working were polite and offered suggestions. I decided to try one of the skull babies and lemon olive oil blueberry cake. The skull baby was good, but I really enjoyed the lemon blueberry cake and would definitely order that again! I also ordered an iced latte and tried it with the caramel syrup. It was nice, not too sweet and very refreshing. I can't wait to come back!

Cold brew, almond milk, and black mocha syrup

Dark Hall is one of my favorite spots to go to for a nice morning latte. Their seasonal menu is always so refreshing, but this morning I opted for a cold brew with almond milk and their homemade black mocha syrup! Soooo good! Not only are their drinks quality, but their pastries are also top tier esp for being vegan! I usually go for their shortbreads or cake slices, but all are amazing! Thanks for making my mornings better!

Beautiful space! I absolutely love how it looks, the staff and other customers are also very friendly and great at providing suggestions. I had the brown sugar lemonade and a blueberry lemon olive cake while i was there and grabbed a chocolate chip cookie as a treat for later. The blueberry lemon olive cake was absolute perfection so pretty to look at but also the best olive oil cake I've ever had. Balanced flavor, soft, moist with a little caramelization on the edges was a perfect pick me up. It's later and I have now eaten the most magical chocolate chip cookie I have ever in my entire life gooey, crispy, sweet, salty just all around pure absolute magic. I have not had such perfect baked goods in a very long time, I'll definitely be back.

My favorite coffee shop in Arizona! I love the vibe of the whole place- It's dark and cozy. Coffee and treats are off the charts! Their cake and cookies are my favorite! I appreciate that everything is vegan and they don't up charge for oat milk. LOL. I love what they stand for and what they do for the community. I will always be a supporter of this small shop. I just wish they had another location closer to me, but they are worth the drive.

    Super sexy restroom.

Taking a little trip to northern Arizona and I always find an opportunity to stop in Phoenix to enjoy some of my favorites locally. Visiting Dark Hall feels like a must, I absolutely love their ability to bake vegan pastries just as a dairy pastry may come. They make house made syrups that love and enjoy and the vibe is always so great. Staff is super helpful and kind, the goth vibe is beautifully created. And they have one of the best bathrooms :)

Kind and welcoming atmosphere! Everyone there is friendly, helpful, & knowledgeable! Best coffee/lattes and baked goods in the Phoenix area!THE STAFF ARE FANTASTIC Love this place

A fantastic coffee shop whether you're vegan or not! The atmosphere is dark and spooky (perfect for Halloween & fall time) the inside is small and dimly lit but they have plenty of patio seating options both in the front and back of the shop. The staff are also super friendly and kind! Their syrups are all homemade which is a huge plus! We tried La Pepita Dulcita and it was good! I ordered it less sweet but it was still too sweet for me & I couldn't taste the flavor of the coffee enough but I still enjoyed it! Next time I'll ask the barista what they would recommend instead (: For pastries we tried the raspberry crumb which is a MUST order we absolutely loved it! & the blackout skull baby which was really rich and had an almond taste imo Overall, Dark Hall is a superb coffee shop that I would continue to come back to!

Inside, they have a nice setup with some seating and then an additional patio with more seating. Everything we had was amazing and it was great fuel to start our day. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming.

I read that their parking lot fills up quickly but that there's a public lot across the street, so I parked there and crossed over. This cozy restaurant was fairly busy and we perused the pastry case while waiting in line, lots of tempting treats. My friend ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes which are topped with blueberries. A lot of their menu items have pork in it, but they were good about substituting. The burrito usually has schreiners chorizo, hash browns, cheddar, sunny egg and chili oil with side of salsa verde. I asked for avocado instead of the chorizo. We brought our own drinks so didn't order any. We grabbed a table on their patio since the sun wasn't over our heads yet. It's nice out there and I think they have some fans going to keep the air flowing, and there was also a natural breeze. Our food came out and they were plated beautifully. My burrito looked good, but it had too much hashbrowns and also there wasn't any chili oil, which was a bummer. Maybe they normally put it on the chorizo so they forgot to add it to my avocado. The egg was runny which I like: The salsa verde was delicious; I love cilantro and it had great flavors. I tried the pancakes and they were fairly rich but I liked the tart lemon flavor and the blueberries, one of my favorite fruits. This is a nice place to meet up (small groups) and I'm glad I visited again.

I believe the owner of Slain Studios is also the owner of Crete, and you can tell by the similar interior design. There's lots of room to sit, and it looks like a good spot to get some work done. I had been here before and tried the strawberry matcha like a year ago, and I have to say it's not my favorite. I think it was quite milky, and I wasn't able to taste the matcha really, but maybe it was a off day? I have been super into sea salt foam Vietnamese coffee lately, so opting for the Ca Phe Sea Salt was a no brainer, and this was perfect. The foam is sooo good, and is delightfully creamy, without being too heavy. The coffee flavor was strong, and I felt that it was very authentic to a true Vietnamese coffee. I will definitely be back for that! I did try the black sesame banana bread as well, and the butter on it was a great addition, but I don't know if I would order it again (not a huge fan of black sesame personally, and the flavor was pretty strong). The staff member was very nice, and he was able to give me a good recommendation on the size of the coffee, since I didn't want too much caffeine. He also offered to heat up my banana bread, provide the butter to go, and then even walked around the counter to give me my items. I really appreciated the great service, and I'll be back for that coffee for sure!
