This is a serious MMA gym. I came from amateur boxing and wanted to learn grappling. I had such a fantastic time here, I definitely got addicted to BJJ and wrestling with the crew here. There are so many talented and friendly people here to help you develop. The entrance is down the side and it feels like a cool hole in the wall , secret gym. After 5 months I went into my first competition and won my first white belt BJJ fight! I highly recommend, it is a great gym for dedicated people.

There is no better place to train, hands down. Dave, Melissa and DeMarco have put together something awesome and you'd be a dumbass to not want to be a part of it. I started here severely out of shape at 185 with a beer gut. Right off the bat I dropped 15 lbs in about 3 months and now I'm down to 165 and still dropping. Some MMA gyms I've been to only specialize in one aspect. DH is NONESUCH a place, specializing in it all. Oh and it's not just an MMA gym, there's also "functional fitness", which is its own brand of crossfit type stuff without the expensive brand. DeMarco and Dave are good with kids so there's truly something for everyone. Also, everyone here is cool, theres no "MMA douchebags". I learn something everyday from someone, and it's definitely more a family. So WTF are you doing after you're done reading this? You're checking this place out. Tell em Josh sent ya

Having recently moved from Portland, I was on the hunt for a new group training gym in San Jose…read more Luckily, HIIT School offered a free week trial, so I decided to give it a shot. I've tried it all (Barry's, F45, Orangetheory, Shred 415) and HIIT School is easily at the top. After my trial, I signed up for a membership right away! CLEAN, MODERN FACILITY WITH TOP-TIER EQUIPMENT The moment I stepped into the gym, I was blown away. The facility is clean, new, and stocked with state-of-the-art equipment - some of which I had never even seen before! Whether you're a beginner or advanced, this gym has everything you need to level up your fitness. CHALLENGING & EDUCATIONAL WORKOUTS The workouts constantly change every two days, so there's no chance of me ever getting bored. What really sets HIIT School apart is that it truly lives up to its name. It's not just a gym, it's a school. Nick puts so much thought into the workout programming, helping every student push toward their goals while also educating us along the way. I walk away from every session having learned something new. FRIENDLY & SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY From day one, I felt welcomed. The atmosphere here is super supportive, and everyone is genuinely friendly. Unlike some other gyms where I've felt intimidated, HIIT School has an encouraging and motivating environment. Sarah and Nick have done an incredible job cultivating this kind of culture. RECOVERY EQUIPMENT ON POINT HIIT School also offers an infrared sauna, ice bath, hot tub, massage chairs, massage guns, and a Hyperice Normatec leg recovery system. I haven't tried everything yet, but I can't wait to take full advantage of it all! ALWAYS EVOLVING & IMPROVING HIIT School isn't just staying the same - they're always adding new things to make the experience even better. They've recently brought in a yoga teacher and are adding a stretch therapist soon. I love that HIIT SCHOOL is always leveling up and making the membership even more valuable. TLDR If you're looking for a group training gym that offers killer workouts, top-notch equipment, and a welcoming community, HIIT SCHOOL IS IT. Plus, the recovery options are a huge bonus. Highly recommend checking it out!

And here's yet another five-star review for WESTCA…read more Like a lot of people, I spend far too much time sitting behind a computer. After a few meager attempts to get into an exercise routine, it became clear I would need to pay someone to kick my proverbial butt on a regular basis. I was excited to find a gym with such consistently great reviews nearby, and WESTCA absolutely lives up to the hype. I have a decent amount of experience with lifting and resistance training, but I also have some physical limitations, so the semi-private training format has been perfect for me. It provides the structure and accountability I was looking for while still meeting me where I am in terms of experience, fitness level, and physical capability. I've been training with Ivan, who consistently brings good vibes. His instructions are clear, he's quick to adapt exercises around physical limitations when needed, and he progresses training safely and thoughtfully with encouragement along the way. Progress has been steady, and I love feeling stronger and more energetic. As many other reviewers have mentioned, WESTCA is a smaller gym with a welcoming, low-pressure atmosphere. It's the kind of place that makes it easy to stay consistent. If you're looking for a gym, WESTCA is an easy recommendation.

I originally planned to train with Adam for just 3 months, but the amount of progress and muscle growth I saw in that short time was insane, so I decided to keep going. What makes Adam such a great trainer is how flexible and dedicated he is. I travel a lot and work a demanding software engineering job, but he's always willing to adjust schedules and make things work. You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients and loves what he does. Even on days we don't train, he still checks in, gives me pointers, and helps me stay on track. He also does a great job tailoring workouts to your specific needs and constantly adds different exercise variations to keep things effective, challenging, and fun. Every workout feels personalized instead of repetitive. The gym itself is amazing too -- it has every piece of equipment you could possibly need, plus all the little extras that make training better. Everything is always incredibly clean and spotless, which makes the environment even more motivating to be in. On top of all that, Adam keeps workouts fun and motivating. We always have great conversations, and over time he's become more than just a trainer, he's become a friend too. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to level up their fitness.

I'm very disappointed with how this gym handled my membership and want others to be aware…read more In July, I went in to downgrade from two guest passes to one since my sister-in-law was moving. I specifically asked the front desk gentleman (who turned out to be the manager- David) what the costs would be if I kept one guest. He clearly told me (in front of four witnesses) that the only cost would be the $20 monthly fee starting September. When I returned in September to add my brother back, I was suddenly told I had to pay additional upgrade fees that were never mentioned before. These fees were already paid when my guests first joined under my account, so being told to pay them again made no sense. When I pointed this out, the manager denied what he had originally told me, claimed it was a "misunderstanding," and even refused to give me his name when I first asked for it back in July. What bothers me most is that this wasn't an innocent mistake, it felt like deception. What he wrote in my account notes was not what was actually said, and instead of owning up to it, he hid behind paperwork. I trusted his word and acted in good faith, but the gym valued squeezing extra money over keeping a loyal customer. Because of this, I will be cancelling my membership. It's disappointing, because the gym itself is nice, but honesty and accountability should come before profit. I sincerely hope corporate headquarters reviews this location carefully, as this type of misrepresentation reflects poorly on the entire brand.

FNS Training Center - Santa Clara…read more I recently dropped in for a 5AM class at FNS, and even from just one session, it's clear this place is built different. Right away, I noticed the tight-knit camaraderie. There's a strong sense of community that honestly feels even more connected than other group fitness gyms like F45. As a first-timer, I felt welcomed from the start. The energy is on another level. The headset mic system helps amplify coaching across the large floor space, making the session feel clear and high-energy. Coach Brenden's shout-outs during the workout were electric--you could tell everyone was feeding off it. After class, Kim at the front desk was incredibly helpful--she walked me through a tour and went over my InBody results in detail. That kind of individual attention isn't something you always get, and it really stood out. My wife joined me for the class too (she had to rush out early since she works in Menlo by 6:30 AM), but we were both impressed by the vibe and professionalism. On a personal note--I've admired Brian Nunez from afar since meeting him a couple of times back in the 2006-2008 Club One / Active Sports Club days. It felt full-circle finally stepping into the space he's built. He's become a truly respected leader in the fitness industry, and FNS absolutely reflects that vision. As someone turning 40 this year, raising a 4-year-old and a teen, and down 70+ lbs since April 2024, fitness isn't just about reps for me--it's about reclaiming my life. FNS brings that intention, energy, and leadership I respect deeply. Whether you're starting fresh or leveling up--FNS is the real deal.
